I visited Bavaria a few years ago and really enjoyed it. It's so beautiful and most people were very nice to me. A shy (he claimed:-)) guy helped me with public transportation, a nice lady gave me a ride when it rained heavily and the bus didn't show up. I really missed there
I live in Schweinfurt. Not far from Volkach. I've been everywhere except at the beerbrewary. Seeing it all the time I lost the few of it. You opened my Eyes again. Beautiful. Thank you.
My great great grandmother was from Bavaria Germany and came to America 1880s. I wanted to get an idea of her Germany. No wonder I've hiked and backpacked all over the western half of America, 5: European countries, and BC Canada

Bavaria (and Germany in general) is so underrated. It's just as beautiful and cultured as much more popular and overrun destinations like Tuscany or Provence.
I remind you that Tuscany was the birthplace of Renaissance: architecture and arts geniuses who are internationally famous, and the place where banking and early capitalism was born. Sorry, but Bavaria just doesnt have the same place in history...

Seeing your trip has brought back a lot of wonderful memories, especially seeing King Ludwig's castles/palaces, they are much like they were all those years ago. Well done.
As an Algerian who never left Algeria, if I leave Algeria I will visit Germany, especially the Alps, because I live in the Atlas Mountains in Algeria and I love everything related to the mountains.

Chimsee is pronounced kimsee, Neuschwanstein you pronounce quite well. I come from this reagion, it‘s georgeous, isn‘t it❤️❤️ A pearl in Bavaria is the town Passau, situated on the Czech boarder (50km) and the Austrian boarder (1km) and lies between 3 rivers.

Absolutely loved watching your video! It brought back a lot of great memories and it's very well done. I did a road trip to Bavaria in the end of July 2019. I stayed in Munich for a week and visited the Neuschwanstein castle, Mittenwald and the Karwendelspitze, the Eagle's nest in Berchtesgaden and the Königsee lake. It was an unforgettable trip and I'd really like to go back there in the future. I'm glad you also enjoyed your trip. Bavaria is definitely a great tourist destination!

Beautiful tour of my back yard. Been in Bavaria/Germany on and off for 27yrs and now live here (2016 to present) From Upstate, NY and moved to Germany from Pa. Germany is completely beautiful with castles, palaces, nearby the huge and wide rivers under lush greenery and forests in all the country. Buildings outer facades are marvellous like France castles, chaeutous and palaces in 15th centuries where no eastern civilization outside Italy towards Volgograd and Tajikistan can reach those most beauties for eternity. I have seen millions of American blondie mainly tourists with their shorts who have visited Bavaria , the American dominion of Germany while flying to Portugal from Munich. It is hot in March in Munich and shorts wearing is universal in 2019. Colgne, Dusseldorf, Dortmund belong to British governance as British Dominion and western Alsace Lorraine Mainz and environs belong to France governance. Cities and towns are just half hour away from each other with motorways , fascinating to feel not alone in the German country.

Great idea, we may have to recut a road trip itinerary. we started in Munich, and went to Neuchvenstain Castle and the Garmisch Partenkirken. After that, we went to Hintersee and Eagles nest. It was then on to Kuchlsbauer Brewery. Befreihungshalle and Weltenburg Abbey on the Danube Gorge. We then went to Nuremberg and finally on to Volkach. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching.

I'm Malaysian and my fiance is German.He should have planned to take me to Bavaria this year but unfortunately the corona didn't allow it😭 I was very disappointed and hoped that all this would pass quickly.
Almost 3 months ago, my wife and were in Munchen. We didn't have a chance to visit the areas that you showed us in the video. Next time we Visit Mumchen, we"ll certainly see it. We visited Lindau, Cheemse, and took a boat to Austria. It was a wonderdull and memorable trip. We'll come again. In sha Allah.
Yeah, Bavaria is extremely beautiful. But you showcased only the tourist destinations where there are way too many people everywhere and everything is overpriced. But as a local I would suggest you to also take a look at the following: Bavarian forest, a national park on the border to the Czech Republic Regensburg, a city that is even more beautiful than Nuremberg and with less tourists than munich the Altmühltal between Eichstätt and Kelheim (where the Liberation Hall is btw) the Hallertau/Holledau south of Ingolstadt (where Audi is) with its many many hop yards and much more of Franconia with its beautiful villiages, great restaurants and many breweries

The rest of bavaria (mostly little citys or villages ) there are living more native Germans (in percent) than in big citys like Munich or Nürnberg...but all in all that’s totally fine and it’s beautiful to see a large cultural variety in our country.

Not sure why you couldn't get into Herrenchiemsee Castle, but usually it is open for visitors from around mid of May until early October. Such a pity you couldn't see the inside! It's fascinating, especially as one wing is complete and the other one is still just an empty shell.
I am a bit disappointed that you did not manage to visit the most beautiful city in Germany Rothenburg ob der Tauber on your tour through Bavaria, even though you have been to Franconia already. This is the only Medieval town with still perfectly preserved and all around closed city walls fortress towers and and and in Europe. I'm really sorry for you that you have missed it. My hometown is really beautiful, as well as the Tauber Valley where it lies.
Yes, Rothenburg is the quintessential German village, so much so that it was held up by the Nazis as the place all villages in Germany should aspire to be like.

Loved it. Was there in 1993 liked the view from the side of the mountain toward the castle. Had to walk all the way up.
That's a long walk, but definitely worth it. We had it easy by driving up and parking at the restaurant before it opened.

I'm Malaysian and my fiance is German.He should have planned to take me to Bavaria this year but unfortunately the corona didn't allow it😭 I was very disappointed and hoped that all this would pass quickly.

Almost 3 months ago, my wife and were in Munchen. We didn't have a chance to visit the areas that you showed us in the video. Next time we Visit Mumchen, we"ll certainly see it. We visited Lindau, Cheemse, and took a boat to Austria. It was a wonderdull and memorable trip. We'll come again. In sha Allah.
Yeah, Bavaria is extremely beautiful. But you showcased only the tourist destinations where there are way too many people everywhere and everything is overpriced.
But as a local I would suggest you to also take a look at the following:
Bavarian forest, a national park on the border to the Czech Republic
Regensburg, a city that is even more beautiful than Nuremberg and with less tourists than munich
the Altmühltal between Eichstätt and Kelheim (where the Liberation Hall is btw)
the Hallertau/Holledau south of Ingolstadt (where Audi is) with its many many hop yards
and much more of Franconia with its beautiful villiages, great restaurants and many breweries

Звездана В For example in Munich there are a lot people who are not foreign but you can also see a lot of native Germans there. The rest of bavaria (mostly little citys or villages ) there are living more native Germans (in percent) than in big citys like Munich or Nürnberg...but all in all that’s totally fine and it’s beautiful to see a large cultural variety in our country.
I plan to live here. I’m currently learning the language. I want to be appreciative of the people and their language and personally I feel learning the language will ease my moving process

Oldest brewery in the world is Weihenstephan in Freising just north of München. The monestary is dated to 768 and the brewery to 1040. However, the Weltenburger is said to have the oldest beer in the World as Weihenstephan has not brewed the same beer since 1040.

Hi. Very interesting and lovely place. Hopefully will be visiting this July. During the video there is a church around 4:04 minutes, I think when you where in Hopfensee. Any Idea what is the name of that church please.
Not sure why you couldn't get into Herrenchiemsee Castle, but usually it is open for visitors from around mid of May until early October. Such a pity you couldn't see the inside! It's fascinating, especially as one wing is complete and the other one is still just an empty shell.
I am a bit disappointed that you did not manage to visit the most beautiful city in Germany Rothenburg ob der Tauber on your tour through Bavaria, even though you have been to Franconia already. This is the only Medieval town with still perfectly preserved and all around closed city walls fortress towers and and and in Europe. I'm really sorry for you that you have missed it. My hometown is really beautiful, as well as the Tauber Valley where it lies.

Yes, Rothenburg is the quintessential German village, so much so that it was held up by the Nazis as the place all villages in Germany should aspire to be like.
@@garrytaylor Yes, and Walt Disney has used it as a model for many of his animated films and for many buildings in Disney World and Disney Land. Walt Disney has been to Rothenburg many times
