- HI friends!! sorry the first video didn't have audio- I don't know what happened. I am sorry.
hopefully this one serves you better advice.
Stay Cool friends!
Bushnell BROADHEAD LASER Rangefinder:
www.podiumarch...
good review video.
Past fall seasons of 2022-2023, friend used a Bushnell Broadhead, purchased new. Two wet fall & December seasons on the Olympic Peninsula, SE Alaska.
He brings it to his hunt with me in January 2024 to Arizona. It wouldn't work, battery good, replaced anyway. But it was slightly fogged up on the edges, vignette like. Later he found out thru Bushnell that Broadhead is "weatherproof" not waterproof.
The Leupold is WATERPROOF, big difference.
Just ordered a Bushnell from your website. You also have the best price on these units at $294.944. Thanks for the good video, persuaded me from buying the Leopold to buying this Bushnell unit and saving a little $$ in the process.
Possible video idea...Your three favorite fixed blade & mechanical blade broadheads. Shoot three of each for accuracy out to 80 yards. Understand if that creates a cost issue! Just an idea with hunting season weeks away.
I grabbed one of the new Bushnell Broadhead range finders and love it! It’s very accurate and it does a nice job reading darker 3D targets even when they are positioned under heavy tree cover. Glad I made the investment.
for those of us who shoot Archery and Rifle, a review of how the Leupold RX Bow vs. Rifle setting works would be good.
we got the sound this time 🙌🏼
killer video thanks for the effort
Nikon’s image stabilization is probably the most underrated feature in the rangefinder industry…
Just purchased this from your website! Thank you for offering a military discount to those of us who have served our country. One of the biggest reasons I chose this over leupold is because of the warrenty-Bushnell offers lifetime warranty as Leupold only offers 2 years on electronic and red dot. No thanks! I'll take the lifetime warranty instead plus it
s $100 bucks cheaper.
Yes!!! Thanks Josh. I'm a huge fan!
I guessed right. Happy with my Bushnell Broadhead! Woooo!
Great knowledge videos as always.
Your my #1 go to when i have an questions.
Straight arrows brother!
Archer Ash from Ontario 🇨🇦🦌🌲
I like that Leopold actually gives useful specs like eye relief, FOV and light transmission. I mean at the very least eye relief should be mandatory to be listed. Was the image quality and low light performance similar? Performance in snowfall and rain would be interesting too.
Great review as always. I actually finally upgraded my range finder for this one bc of your review and have used it for a month and absolutely love it. Both size, weight and sight picture are great. Can't beat the price either. Thanks as aways!
Thanks for the comparison video. Love that you take the time to do this. A couple questions I had that was not covered? I hunt the Oregon coast and it gets damp. I have seen range finders fog up. I have four range finders. The Luepold is the only one that doesn't that I have. Whats the IP rating comparison there for guys that get moist? Also optically speaking.... some times I will just l go light on my pack and ditch weight so sometimes I will not bring bino's depending on the hunt. Thus I depend on the optics in the range finder. How do these two compar? Both 6 power? Is there adjustment for eye relief? Keep the content coming!!
Cheers
Thank you for this comparison you just saved me 2-300 bucks!
Love my Bushnell rangefinder, it is an earlier version than this one. I would love for a review on a Athens Vista 31. I have seen other UA-camrs get one on loan for review.I love the quick, down and dirty bow reviews. Facts with no glitter.
Let there be sound!!!!!!!
Been waiting for this comparison thank you.
I just started shootingtarget archery and realized how much my vortex ranger sucks for it. Not being able to range fractions of yardage is critical when shooting spots and it is essentially useless on dark 3D targets. I saw this one and was wondering about it so thanks for the review!
I've had mine since they went on sale. I love it! Works super fast! Super Light! Price is amazing and its accurate!
Fulldtaw 4 is discontinued I believe. Saw the Fulldraw 5 on the website and seams to have some interesting features. Mainly, you can input your arrow weight and speed and it will show trajectory info and tell you if there are obstructions in the peak of your trajectory. Would be interested in seeing a review of that.
The full draw 4 does all that. I haven’t seen the 5 yet. I’ll have to got check it out! No wonder I’ve been seeing the 4 deeply discounted.
Thats kinda like my Bushnell the truth edition, its old but faithful and reliable and does the angle comp, trajectory and all that. Only thing is, it’s only black reticle and numbers always
I still love my vortex ranger 1800. The Bushnell is tempting for the technology that they put in it.
I’ve got the new Full Draw 5 and loving it! Although I feel like the Bushnell is much more bang for the buck!
However, Leupold has a jam-up customer service for repairs even if it was your fault!
Nice new features on the 5 including better vis.. Three new features set the RX-FullDraw 5 apart from its predecessor, the RX-FullDraw 4:
An optional 20-yard pin solution for the Flightpath technology
a Rain/Fog mode
lower minimum arrow velocity
The 20-yard pin solution makes it even easier for archers to make a clean shot at close range, when they’re often in thick brush or cover.
Rain/Fog mode, also known as Last Target mode, returns the last distance the laser reads bettering your chances of getting an accurate range on a target in rainy or foggy conditions.
The lowered minimum on velocity inputs is meant to accommodate traditional archers and others who shoot lighter draw weights and thus lower velocities.
You can get a FD4 on eBay new for $369 the last time I checked, and FD5 is $499. I bought a FD4. Great rangefinder
WHICH ONLY LAST FOR TWO YEARS....LEUPOLDS WARRANTY THAT IS ON ELECTRONICS!
Thanks for a great review, after watching it I bought one from your shop
Dope video have you herd about the sig Zulu range finer or isn't even worth comparing them?
I have the Broadhead and I really like it. My son has a Vortex at about the same price point, and he is jealous of my Bushnell. LOL
A video about your opinion on front deploy vs rear deploy mechanicals would be cool. Like a grim reaper fatal steel vs sevr
Possible Video Idea, What would you recommend for a starter bow set up? Someone new, or returning to archery without the $1000+ to go for the flagship bows?
This one has Sound well done guys!!
yeah an RF that only needs to range 0-100 doesn't require a lot, however the fulldraw has arrow rise/drop compensation which is very valuable in timber just went and checked out the bushnell.. nice RF no doubt but the fulldraw 4 is still on closeout for around $300 if you look Three new features set the RX-FullDraw 5 apart from its predecessor, the RX-FullDraw 4:
An optional 20-yard pin solution for the Flightpath technology

i really like my bushnell broadhead. I had a hard time deciding between the new vortex ones and the bushnell. my only complaint about the broadhead, is that the feel of it is super plasticky and it gets pretty slick in my hands when im sweating and trying to range. other than that I would give it a solid 9/10!
Hell ya we got sound this time!!
The most likely reason most angle compensation is wrong, is cause they're just adjusting the yardage instead of the drop.
Say you range a 70 yards shot, your arrow is till traveling 70 yards, even though gravity is only affecting it for the horizontal distance, it's still taking longer to travel that distance.
Meaning gravity is acting on it for a longer time since your arrow is traveling farther, and slowing down more on an angled shot vs. the compensated horital distance.
It's a time of flight issue that isn't factored in with simple angle correction. Most people won't notice it unless you start shooting a longer Times of Flight.
So with the percentage of angles, how would you relate that to your pin?
Great side by side review, been looking at the Bushnell rangefinders, especially towards cost.
Justin. It's true line of sight. Never even bothered with the degree readout. Set your pin as if you were shooting 51 flat or angled (line distance). All this is predicated on the archers form at full draw to hit the target.
FINALLY! LET THE SOUND OUT!
Here's an idea give Denny a free bow what a great video that would be
Just got a Bushnell 1700 and love it
Audio is legit 👌!
When Tim Gillingham gets his input received, good things happen
I want to see Frankenstein bow!!!!
How is the eye relief on this model is it forgiving? Just curious for those with & without glasses.
can you please do a review and comparison with Leica Rangemaster 2400-R
At more several angles, and times where you need arrow ballistics for tight lanes with overhanging branches, the FD4 is way better.
I had a 4 yr old Leupold 1000 rx that shat the bed and I hardly used it. No warranty or anything other than a PFO. I have a lot of Leopold scopes and spotting scope but their warranty sucks. No more Leopold for me.
My Bushnell Scout 1000 arc DX, will not give an angle compensation “shoot for “ range, past 99 yards. Will this one?
You must be one busy man my friend?
Will the Bushnell fit in the Marsupial rangefinder pouch the small one you have?
How well does the Bushnell fit in the Bino harness range finder holder?
SOUND FTW!!!!!!!
Sorry- unsure why 1st one didn't have audio.. thanks for checking in!
@@podiumarcher3447 it’s you tube. 🤷🏼♂️ all good this range finder wasn’t even on radar. I like what u had to say about it though.
Love the content.
How it does in the rain and fog is critical
I have no heard good things about Bushnell fixing their electronics in their range finders should something not be working right.. Have you had any experience with them warrantying
stuff?
Yo MFJJ, do a quickie on arrow scales , how to calibrate them and does ANYONE make an absolutely precise scale? WTF.
Do a comparison to the new vortex diamond back HD and the bushnell
I am a leopold man! Sing it!
Have you reviewed quivalizer?
Bino harness comparisons likes and dislikes would be a good video
Good job
Very disappointed in the Bushnell Broadhead!!! Oh it’s perfect at home and in the 3D course, but if you’re hunting and a very slight mist or slight fog comes in, it won’t read past 7 yards!!!! Sig Bushmaster, however, will read in those conditions!
can you hear me now? I CAN 🐐
I like my vortex diamondback does well for me
Anyone know how the vortex razor 4000 compares to these topics or just overall?
Frankenstein bow build
We have sound 🤣🤣
I'm just here for the SPAM. 😉
Over the last several decades I've lost count how many rangefinders I've bought after every few years because all electronics fail and nobody had a real lifetime warranty on their electronics so they were all actually disposable throw away electronics until companies such as Vortex, Burris, Athlon, Maven, Tract, maybe even Primary Arms includes their electronics in their lifetime warranty making theirs truly one time investments that you don't need to throw away. If Vortex sold rangefinders decades ago I probably would have saved at least $5000 in fact probably more than that amount by not having to keep buying disposable throw away rangefinders every few years regardless of top of the line high dollar or cheap prices. This is why I refuse to buy a $2000+ SIG rangefinder binoculars since they only have 5 year warranty from date of manufacture NOT date of purchase so less than 5 years based on how long it's been sitting in a warehouse before purchase and only SIG will know how much warranty is left on them.
I got screwed over buying a Halo rangefinder which failed in less than a month and sent in under warranty and they didn't replace or repair it because they said it was a discontinued model even though I had original proof of purchase receipt well within warranty and wasn't abused at all. I wasted the $25-$30 to ship it to them with insurance and tracking only to be given the BS they wouldn't even send me a demo or remanufactured useable replacement even after I offered to pay them the difference they ripped me off SO BEWARE AVOID BUYING HALO BRAND. Another brand to avoid is Bushnell who doesn't seem to want to actually honor their own warranty and got an F rating according to the BBB for screwing over way too many of their own customers not honoring their warranty.
Next rangefinder on my list to buy is a Maven with a real lifetime warranty including it's electronics for $450 with the best crystal clear 7x optics and made in the Philippines not China just waiting for their next sale and I'm definitely buying one.
Leupold not leopold
Good review but too bad they're disposable throw away electronics without real a lifetime warranty on their electronics that Vortex, Burris, Athlon, Maven, Tract, maybe Primary Arms have that covers electronics making their products not disposable throw away and truly one time investments. SIG is worse only 5 years from date of manufacture NOT date of purchase and if it's been sitting in a warehouse for 5 years before you bought it then zero warranty left and you won't know it till you try to send it in thinking it's still under it's limited short term warranty and they tell you sorry out of warranty already and not lifetime as people think and their electronics in their scopes illuminated reticles and ballistic pairings and apps all same limited 5 year warranty from date of manufacture NOT date of purchase and SIG doesn't repair electronics past their short term warranty either. Bushnell is the worst only one year warranty on electronics including illuminated reticles in their scopes and people think it's a lifetime warranty but Bushnell doesn't seem to like to actually honor their own warranty anyway that's why even the BBB gave them an F rating for screwing over way too many of their own customers not honoring their warranty. Google search "Bushnell warranty complaints" and "Bushnell customer complaints" it's been ongoing over the past decade and surprising Bushnell hasn't been forced to shut down by now.
AND GOD SAID LET THERE BE SOUND, and SO THERE WAS.
