    It's definitely a looker. I love the cross country, at the last demo I rode the cross country tour and made a video, not as good as yours but I fell in love with the tour. Victory will be my next bike for sure. Thanks for the video! Ride safe.

    I enjoyed the video and your review, lost of energy and you keep it fun. I like the magnum, would add the taller shield. Big floorboards are a huge plus, once you experience that everything feels weird.
    Thanks for sharing

    I haven't ridden a Victory. The weird sounds at start-up throw me off. Sounds like a scooter, moped or something else. Looks like it rides well. Great review. Thanks for sharing it and ride safe!!

      I would say try it out sometime. I've been doing so many demo rides for the experience, not even that I'm looking to buy ... I like to know what sets bikes apart. I know sometimes it takes a little bit longer ride to iron out feelings. I forgot the start up sound gotta replay the video.

      I don't think the start up is horrible, yea a little scooterish, my vstar was the same way . Once you rev it though it sounds great .

      I sure do a 950. I been riding for a little over a year.

      @dbest1aVlogs  8 років тому

      Nice, I actually went to buy a 950 tour, paid down on it and all. When I got there they couldn't find the tittle lol.. Saw the 1300 and liked it right off. Took it. There was a Kawi vaquero that was really nice , but outside of my budget. Still never rode a 950.

    I like the flashier look of the bike, but $3,600 more than the Cross Country for a paint job and 21" wheel seems excessive.
    Thanks for another great review.

      See that's why I love you Dario , you posed an excellent point/question.
      Please see this link as it to much to type.
      www.thevog.net/threads/magnum-vs-cross-country-the-differences.56547/
      I did a short search , seems there is a bit of difference. From lowered rear, to longer forks for the 21inch wheel.
      I think the bike also has pipes also, to add to the cost. I could live without the paint, but would want the inner fairing painted, the taller shield, intake exhaust cams, and fueling, then sticky tires for the turns.

      Also question, did you mind me chopping out the parts where I am not talking, as opposed to just letting it play out ..

    • @DarioCruz92
      @DarioCruz92 8 років тому

      To be honest, I prefer vloggers remove the parts without dialogue. 90% of the reason I watch motovlogs is the dialogue and 10% is the scenery. Without the words, it's about as interesting as watching someone play a video game.

    • @DarioCruz92

      I stand corrected :-)

    • @dbest1aVlogs
      @dbest1aVlogs  8 років тому

      +Dario C. Cruz yeah I was teaching my Octane video, and felt I could have snipped some parts out . So, I did it to this one. I've watched this one twice, and like it better. I just wish UA-cam would super compress my video, or whatever is going on , cause on my mac the gauges look HD sharp.

    I test road a Cross Country sometime back. The crew didn't allow cameras. Hence no recording. I really liked it.

      Yes so true . I like it from the back of the fairing to the rear tail light.

    Victory does make some very nice motorcycles. And they have managed to give them that "custom" look, bone stock. Now that Polaris has established Indian to take on the classic market that frees up Victory to pursue its own unique direction and focus on performance motors and advanced chassis. The Freedom engine is incredibly reliable. You can pound it and pound it and it just doesn't care. Wonderfully overbuilt. I think there are going to be some interesting power plants in Victory's future. I always look forward to and enjoy your reviews. Another good job.

    • @dbest1aVlogs
      @dbest1aVlogs  8 років тому

      Thank you for adding some great info. Victory's engine a truly great, I also like the low maintenance. they just need to fine tune the little things, and take not of customers dislikes and make changes. First thing they could improve are those horrid cruise control pads. they need to go..

    Good vid! I rode my buds Vic bagger and just wasn't impressed. I was kinda disappointed because I love Polaris products and I love Arlen ness but I prefer my SG, much better ride! It is a beautiful bike, very roomy but it was a miss for me personally.
    Be safe. Thanks for review!!

    • @dbest1aVlogs
      @dbest1aVlogs  8 років тому

      Yea I don't think it's for everyone . I'm not a flashy guy so the paint is beautiful , but just to much for me to look at. It needed a taller shield, low is nice for back roads, but when your on the highway booking to a backroad, the wind beats the living crap out of you, same on the SG I tested. taller with ability to see over is key. What I did like was the performance, and responsiveness in the motor .. snap the throttle n go. that's the potential, it's in the tune. The SG is more nimble, and has a very good tune on it. Slow speed balance is phenomenal.. I still can't adjust to the Victory fairing, like it's carved out with a Patato carver ot something, just bugs me out lol. I dunno maybe it's me ..

      +Dbest1a Vlogs no, not just you. The fearing is a big problem with this bike. Line u said, very windy and looks ..... Don't know, can't explain either! Lol.

  • @Viper6-MotoVlogger
    @Viper6-MotoVlogger 8 років тому

    The bike probably had 5 pounds of metal flakes in the paint! The bike did have a nice sound got stock pipes. I personally like the old school cruiser look like the Indian. Ride safe bro.

    • @dbest1aVlogs
      @dbest1aVlogs  8 років тому

      No those pipes were aftermarket, not sure where form, but aftermarket. A few others had aftermarket on them too. I love the look of the Indians, I just find them stunning. I'm still up in the air on the chief ten front fairing, but the rear with the gauges is a joy .. I'm working on locating a Indian demo day, but they are pretty far out. . Minimum 5 hours which is odd. Your right about the glitter lol ...

    i want one. what do you think is better Harley or that or stick with the Yamaha

    • @dbest1aVlogs
      @dbest1aVlogs  8 років тому +3

      Well its kind of subjective and up to the individual in a way.
      First we have the fairings , They are all different, from the RG SG vstar1300 victory . The RG probably would offer the best highway protection with the Victory with a better shield 2nd and then the star and the SG struggle for last. The RG is creates a nice pocket. The Victory with a better shield I noticed kept wind off my core (stock cross country) . Engine wise , the Victory motor has potential. Stock it's boring like any others, but ride the Magnum and you realize what you need to do to wake the damn bike up. I couldn't ride this in stock form daily . intake exhaust fueling and maybe some cams... hell yea bro.
      I think I'd be happy with any of these bikes , except the Road Glide. that bike and I didn't see eye to eye, and that's not to knock anyone that bought one. The vstar is the cheapest of the bunch, even with mods it's still cheaper, but also has the smallest motor, but is liquid cooled.
      I don't think I'd sell my vstar unless I caught a cheap deal on a stock Victory cross country or Indian chieftain.
      Hope I answered your questions decently.
