followed your build when my sorc was level 36, found gravitational aspect around level 47, hit 100, no unique found but all summoned bosses are dead, and lillith, easily, working my glyphs to 21 atm, ty for the excellent guide.
you never got a unique and you reached lvl100? That's hard to believe, because bosses drop them like popcorn. Varshan is probably the easiest, my first two drops from him were a tal rasha ring, and I beat him around lvl 50, 60ish, that was in Tier 3 though, so it's not ancestral but sacred, but still a unique. I however have a bigger problem finding a good recharging ring aspect, I found only one and it has crap stats.
Just subscribed ! Had a question- got lucky and got the Uber staff Ahavarion spear of Lycander/ shrine staff . How would you fit this is? Losing two offensive aspects and cool down reduction but 30% attack speed, 50% damage and over 30% crit chance should make up for it??? And recommendations ? Thanks!!!

Have you tested using the lightning spear enchant? I know it might sound weird, but when you're picking up all the crackling energy, you spit out tons of lightning spears, each of which gives the 3%x damage increase from conjuration mastery. Not only that, but it made surviving so brain dead for me in high NM dungeons, because they'd constantly be stunned thanks to the invoked lightning spear upgrade. Obviously teleport enchant is super fun, but lightning spear enchant just feels good for damage and survivability. Edit: I do also run lightning spear on my bar, to start of with just stunning packs before I even reach them, but you can probably avoid that since you'll CC the first pack you approach anyway, which should make some lightning spears.
I had tal rasha in my inventory and wasn't sure how to use it on your last build. I use Lilith as a training dummy now. She sometime used to use me as one, but the damage difference is very much visible. Tested with blizz and Ice Blades. Ice Blades is WAAY better
You're a bit wrong about the significance of attack speed increase. It is not noticeable with the maxed out sorc when everything just melts, but quite noticeable on lower levels, when you're able to summon twice as many balls of lightning before they start vanishing, especially on bosses.
When the build is sub-optimal you'd sooner run into mana issues then you would attack speed issues, but feel free to just use esus/accelerating aspect instead of elementalist or something. I've tried tons of variations of the build, and personally saw very little difference with additional attack speed, because I'm already getting nearly attack speed cap from ravenous + gloves + unstable currents.
@@NickTewaccelerating aspect is part of attack speed cap 2 same as unstable currents, you can reach max crit chance without elementalist and chain lightning enchant gives you more than enough mana while also adding the most damage when paired with lightning spear enchant and conjuration mastery
Found your channel through Reddit. Thank you for this! This feels way better than this other YTer's build. It's a little slower at level 49, but that's probably because I don't have the correct Aspects.
i don't have shaco so i use andariel visage ... it is pretty decent with attack speed and life steal (and the poison nova to proc poison stack on the ring)
Frozen Orb has little to no value IMO especially when you can keep up the buff indefinitely without it. There are better enchant options such as teleport & firebolt.
Could Maxroll make their gear section any more difficult to look at?!? I wouldn't know where to begin to make sense of the multiple items for every slot. I'd love to follow this build but I'm not willing to dissect the video over and over to figure it out.
i pretty much did the same build when i got it yesterday and its awesome. also yes, Vyr's is bugged as well as esu's. ive been using Esu's for a while now because of the damage increase.
Well not so sure ESU is bugged..it actually does what it says... The first part is about the fire and crits. The second part is about crits in general and does not specify crits from fire skills.
@@NickTew Well there are two sections describing the node. First part are indeed regarding Fire Critical Strike Damage and chance. So sure you loose out on those when not having fire damage. However the second part says "Critical Strikes that kill enemies or hit a boss grant both bonuses against all enemies for 3 second", which does not say that you need fire to activate this part. This is the same for Vyr's. Shock skills take increased damage (bugged as you mention) but the damage reduction part will happen as long enemies are close regardless if you would use fire as main damage.

This damage is insane lol. I love my barb to 1 shot the hardest mobs but this sorc is so crazy. And it doesnt really shine till you go on tier 4 and start attacking mobs 20 lvls higher and crackling energys and sparks are freaking everywhere. I'll try it Nick, I'm not much of a sorc lol
Hey Nick. I just got the Ahavarion Spear of Lysander off of Duriel and I’ve been playing around with it and really love it. Do you have any recommendations on changes to this build if using the staff?
Looking over several of the paragons, I think you can leech a few 1.5% Resist (since you're over cap) and 2% health nodes and a couple extraneous core stat nodes (8 extraneous nodes in total) and you can use them to pick up the Enchant Master Legendary node. Enchant Master means 20% more Chain Lightnings for more mana and vuln, but more importantly it lowers the Teleport Enchant cooldown by 2.4 seconds. That's as much as ~8 ranks of Teleport. This smooths and speeds up the build even more, and you basically don't have to lose anything to do it.
Its crazy because my buddy was literally showing me this tal rashas loop he got yesterday and i thought wow this would be a great ring for my lightning build

Can you use frost and fire bolt enchantment for fire and cold to proc damage on ring ? Also I was doing some testing I don’t think hoarfrost works, have you tried this by chance ?
@Nicktew Would you could consider changing up the paragon board for late game considering that if you have the new ring that drops, you might have too much mana generation and recharging aspect may be redundant at this stage of the build. Ball Lightning may generate enough crackling energy to sustain itself come Lvl 100.
How much different is your T100 harlequin build over Northwar's Maxroll build(he updated the paragon for max dmg bosskilling build in its specific section)?

Been using your guides since launch bone spear necro. Always my go to! Well done! Side note, found a way to move around a couple of paragon points to keep 10% lightning damage and one of the 8% elite damage nodes while still maxing out resists rather than sacrificing those damage nodes for resists. Hmu if you wanna see! Not a big difference, but ya know...min/maxing lol

Hello, I have watched this and previous video and wanted to ask two questions: * how is Vulnerable applied? You even say that you dont need Frost Nova, so what is adding Vulnerable to enemies so you get bonuses form Frigid Fate or + Dmg to Vulnerable Glyphs etc. * in previous video was said, that you use Teleport so much, that you have barrier almost all the time. How does that work? Does teleport add Barrier somehow, does it reset cooldown from two barrier skills or what? Thanks for answering.
Vulnerable is applied via chain lightning enchant paired with the static surge legendary paragon node. Protection within the skill tree gives you a barrier everytime you use a cooldown, for the purposes of this talent, teleport enchant does count as a cooldown.

How do you get poison damage from infection since you have to you have to hit them 8 times with psychical damage? Isn't ball lightning non-psychical and so is pretty much every other skill the sorcerer has too?

@NickTew what am I missing? Without Frost Nova or vampiric power there is nothing to inflict vulnerability, yet you are keeping the aspect in your amulet. I know vulnerable is not that important now, but using Accursed Touch definitely increase the dmg output.
I love and appreciate the explanations. I am curious though -- why are you not taking advantage of the Frigid Fate Paragon board? Isn't that one of the strongest damage multipliers for this build?
with all teh crackling energy I took off all my mana gain aspects and seem to be doing fine. I'm using an arc lash variant though. Do u find yourself lacking mana with all the crackling energy?
What are your thoughts on now using oculus/metamorph and change tp enchant to frozen orb for yet another form of elemental damage. I have shako so I’m thinking that this paired with that new ring may potentially work and retain the high mobility of your build…?
It's a good option and always has been, it's just worse for speed clearing in my opinion and feels a bit clunky spamming metamorph space bar. I still would never use frozen orb enchant, it has no value. You can keep the buff up on frost damage by simply using a random frost spell like demonstrated. If anything I'd use fire bolt enchant to take advantage of devouring blaze + DR from burning & flame feeder glyph.
@NickTew you can get a poison dmg if you use Andariels vision, it also gives you 15% attack speed, plus life steal, so you can drop skulls in weapon and get emeralds.
I doubt it would be good, I have Andy but with Andy you get Attack speed which you do not need as he explained its capped, and u are poison res capped anyways...I would lose 28% armor, 1300 life and 9% cdr for it...thats massive loss imo...not worth I think
Yo, i found out that if you willing to sacrifice teleport enchant (and just use ESU boots, for traversing + normal ~5sec teleport) you can actually use frozen orb enchantment + frostburn + hoarfrost + frigid breeze - and it does so much dmg!! also u can then drop that 3 mana aspect for chain lightning for somethign else i picked control bcs so getting around 90% crit with esu and gear anyways - and mana is still full 100% of the time i also scavenged few paragon points (7) here and there like +8 mana, some resistances bcs i have max anyways and picked enchantment master legendary paragon, that makes me cast more chain lightnings and orbs which in effect gives even more mana and vuln maybe worth exploring that option also - im having a blast on NM100 with it - everything get frozen and vuln waiting to be killed
Great tip, I´m running Frost Nova and frostburns and it´s a great combo for this build imho, I´m not dropping frost nova for another shield (meh, boring) so I´m gonna enhance it like you suggested.
@@dealler669yeah im testing lucky hit now, dropped frozen orb and frigid breeze, oddly, i swapped for a wand and rolled lucky mana on my offhand and put another unique ring (rose) on the second slot And to be totally fair mana is not a problem (rose procs tal rasha ring also, 1 more passive point free and skill slot ;p) now i have : Mana cost reduction - 28.6% Mana Generation - 36% Lucky Hit Mana - 39% Lucky hit - 55.5% no mana aspects, just crackling energy 12 mana passive tested single target and multi - Mana 100% most of the time - drops only if killing too fast ;p actually doing 200k+ with Ball ticks - not sure if i need more at this point - 100Dungeons melting, with nearly 100 unstable currents uptime Im gonna recreate the build on the planner and send it if u curious ps. also tried to run lightning spear enchantment with conjuration mastery on amulet, put 2 points into lightning spear so it stuns. even its only 10% to spawn spear when picking crackling energy with lucky hit and crazy amounts on them its getting me 2-3 lightning spear all the time, and stuns everything on screen worth taking a look also ;) pretty fun - also procs Feed the coven Vampiric power all the time so in result its ~20%(x) damage all the time, and helps with mana regen ;)

Where can i find information about 40% cap bonus damage to ball lightining from atk Speed. Im so confused about using elementalist or accelerating aspect( seems it can go over the cap of 100% atk Speed). I have nearly120-130 mana, can t understand if elementalist is worth enough. Thx
Wouldn't Andariel +Temerity for survivability then go all in on damage be a better choice rather than harlequin? I'm, not being rhetorical, haven't tried any of them (didn't drop yet) but they just seem like better options on paper. I seems like you would be literally immortal for a slight loss in damage which doesn't matter anyway since you kill everything in T100 in less than 1 sec (on my current build that doesn't have either harlequin or andariel, but still die quite a lot)
Andariel healing is nerfed on WT4 for some reason. Instead of 3% (which you do get on WT3) you get like 0.75% on WT4. And then if you combine it with Temerity, that drops to something like 0.165% Barrier from damage. That's why no-one uses these two uniques. They just don't function in game like they do on paper.
Oh man... ice blades are super good to reduce your cooldowns, if you don't use Overflowing Keystone and go for Ancient Flame and Esu Keystone... pretty much can rotate all skills constantly if you use it as enchantment also...

can you confirm if Esu's Ferocity still works? as in patch notes says it was fixed. "Fixed an issue where the bonus from Esu's Ferocity was applying as a bonus to all damage instead of Critical Strike damage." so is this fixed for lightning dmg or?

Just got a Shako tonight. Was looking for a new build version of Ball Lightning to incorporate it and I think I found it here.

FYI use the ice orb enchantment instead it'll repeatedly toss ice orbs when attacking. Giving you the freezing over ice blades

How are you maintaining almost full mana...I've almost followed this to a T, but after 3 ball lightnings my mana is depleted.

Can you hold ball lighting or should you Spam the button? What is faster?

Given the bug with Esu's Ferocity, would the Ancient Flame aspect be worth considering? It's a lot of attack speed.
Lots of others run Ancient Flame to get that 125 overcap

I do not have a Tibault's will.. hence my mana gain is a lot lower. Should I still replace my recharging/prodigy rings with this?

Esu's boots would help with crit chance so you can drop the boost to crit aspect.
esu's loses attacks reduce dash cooldown, which is integral to using tp enchant.

Infection has nothing to do with physical damage, it instantly procs as you can see in the video.

@NickTew what am I missing? Without Frost Nova or vampiric power there is nothing to inflict vulnerability, yet you are keeping the aspect in your amulet. I know vulnerable is not that important now, but using Accursed Touch definitely increase the dmg output.

I love and appreciate the explanations. I am curious though -- why are you not taking advantage of the Frigid Fate Paragon board? Isn't that one of the strongest damage multipliers for this build?

with all teh crackling energy I took off all my mana gain aspects and seem to be doing fine. I'm using an arc lash variant though. Do u find yourself lacking mana with all the crackling energy?
Why did you even have mana gain stuff on an arc lash build to begin with? Arc Lash doesn't use any mana.
What are your thoughts on now using oculus/metamorph and change tp enchant to frozen orb for yet another form of elemental damage. I have shako so I’m thinking that this paired with that new ring may potentially work and retain the high mobility of your build…?
It's a good option and always has been, it's just worse for speed clearing in my opinion and feels a bit clunky spamming metamorph space bar. I still would never use frozen orb enchant, it has no value. You can keep the buff up on frost damage by simply using a random frost spell like demonstrated. If anything I'd use fire bolt enchant to take advantage of devouring blaze + DR from burning & flame feeder glyph.

@NickTew you can get a poison dmg if you use Andariels vision, it also gives you 15% attack speed, plus life steal, so you can drop skulls in weapon and get emeralds.
you can also get poison damage from the infection or whatever power
I doubt it would be good, I have Andy but with Andy you get Attack speed which you do not need as he explained its capped, and u are poison res capped anyways...I would lose 28% armor, 1300 life and 9% cdr for it...thats massive loss imo...not worth I think

Yo, i found out that if you willing to sacrifice teleport enchant (and just use ESU boots, for traversing + normal ~5sec teleport) you can actually use frozen orb enchantment + frostburn + hoarfrost + frigid breeze - and it does so much dmg!! also u can then drop that 3 mana aspect for chain lightning for somethign else i picked control bcs so getting around 90% crit with esu and gear anyways - and mana is still full 100% of the time
i also scavenged few paragon points (7) here and there like +8 mana, some resistances bcs i have max anyways and picked enchantment master legendary paragon, that makes me cast more chain lightnings and orbs which in effect gives even more mana and vuln
maybe worth exploring that option also - im having a blast on NM100 with it - everything get frozen and vuln waiting to be killed
Great tip, I´m running Frost Nova and frostburns and it´s a great combo for this build imho, I´m not dropping frost nova for another shield (meh, boring) so I´m gonna enhance it like you suggested.
@@dealler669yeah im testing lucky hit now, dropped frozen orb and frigid breeze, oddly, i swapped for a wand and rolled lucky mana on my offhand and put another unique ring (rose) on the second slot And to be totally fair mana is not a problem (rose procs tal rasha ring also, 1 more passive point free and skill slot ;p)
now i have :
Mana cost reduction - 28.6%
Mana Generation - 36%
Lucky Hit Mana - 39%
Lucky hit - 55.5%
no mana aspects, just crackling energy 12 mana passive
tested single target and multi - Mana 100% most of the time - drops only if killing too fast ;p
actually doing 200k+ with Ball ticks - not sure if i need more at this point - 100Dungeons melting, with nearly 100 unstable currents uptime

ps. also tried to run lightning spear enchantment with conjuration mastery on amulet, put 2 points into lightning spear so it stuns.
even its only 10% to spawn spear when picking crackling energy with lucky hit and crazy amounts on them its getting me 2-3 lightning spear all the time, and stuns everything on screen
worth taking a look also ;) pretty fun - also procs Feed the coven Vampiric power all the time so in result its ~20%(x) damage all the time, and helps with mana regen ;)

Can someone explain to me why he took fire bolt and devouring blaze but it’s not on this bar or his enchant? How does the skill combo be utilized? Does it just fire off on its own?
Where can i find information about 40% cap bonus damage to ball lightining from atk Speed.
Im so confused about using elementalist or accelerating aspect( seems it can go over the cap of 100% atk Speed).
I have nearly120-130 mana, can t understand if elementalist is worth enough.

Wouldn't Andariel +Temerity for survivability then go all in on damage be a better choice rather than harlequin? I'm, not being rhetorical, haven't tried any of them (didn't drop yet) but they just seem like better options on paper. I seems like you would be literally immortal for a slight loss in damage which doesn't matter anyway since you kill everything in T100 in less than 1 sec (on my current build that doesn't have either harlequin or andariel, but still die quite a lot)
Andariel healing is nerfed on WT4 for some reason. Instead of 3% (which you do get on WT3) you get like 0.75% on WT4. And then if you combine it with Temerity, that drops to something like 0.165% Barrier from damage. That's why no-one uses these two uniques. They just don't function in game like they do on paper.
Oh man... ice blades are super good to reduce your cooldowns, if you don't use Overflowing Keystone and go for Ancient Flame and Esu Keystone... pretty much can rotate all skills constantly if you use it as enchantment also...

can you confirm if Esu's Ferocity still works? as in patch notes says it was fixed.

Still works for lightning damage when it's not supposed to, yes.
Any chance on a paragon level tree? Guide only shows nothing or all points used.

You mentioned accelerating aspect when you talked about Eternal but BL is not core. So its not supposed to work, is it?
