Saturnino Celani, in this purely entertaining talk that mixes acting with musical performance, tells us how his ability to adapt almost like a "surfing chameleon” has allowed him, over the years, to follow his own musical ambitions and eventually become one of the most versatile bass players in the Italian music scene.
Saturnino Celani, better known as Saturnino, is considered one of the best bass players on the international music scene. Eclectic artist, with great technical mastery and composing skills, he is able to blend different styles and to compose pieces that favor contamination yet keeping their freshness. This versatility appears in ‘Testa di Basso’, his first solo album released in 1995. His collaboration with Lorenzo Jovanotti, which started in 1991, is particularly important for his career but also for the history of music. The two artists have created a strong synergy that has led to successful hits such as “L’ombelico del mondo”, “Io no”, “Penso Positivo”, “Salvami”. Saturnino has also played in the song “Il mio nome è mai più”, recorded by Jovanotti, Ligabue and Piero Pelù to support Emergency.

Caro Saturnino, come Mark King sul album live ‚a physical presence‘ anche tu mi hai ispirato: da quando ti ho visto nel ‘94 a San Gallo (Svizzera) con Lorenzo non porto più il basso sotto il mento ma ad un livello più basso, hehe... Per quanto riguarda le „classifiche“, hai avuto fin ora un grande successo come bassista dato che sei rimasto fedele alla tua illuminazione e ti impegni sempre a sviluppare in continuazione il tuo sound... grazie mille per aver condiviso le tue conoscenze con noi!
Bravo..... tutti bravi a criticare, non sono nessuno per giudicare né la bravura e nemmeno i gusti,secondo me ciò che conta da musicista è riuscire ad essere al servizio della musica,ed in questo Saturno ci è riuscito, sennò non sarebbe dov'è... complimenti.

Saturnino Celani beh, l'ho scritto, è un' opinione personale ma, almeno per me i bassisti super mega sono tipo: Wooten, patitucci, Jeff hugell, Ryan Martinie , Steve Harris, Steve Swallow , John Myoung, Dominic Lapointe, per fare alcuni esempi, ti rispetto certo e non capisco neanche alcuni commenti irrispettosi tipo "fa cagare" perché non è vero, ma in confronto a questi nomi, secondo me sei un po' più indietro in ''classifica''
