I tried it with plastic tools and it wouldn't budge so I ran electrical tape around the edge of the cover and used a wide bladed screwdriver. It came away fairly easy. The tape stopped me from scratching the cover.
You could sell the video as a) changing bulb b) changing the indicator c) changing mirror cover and show all three in detail which you failed to do because you for example did not put the cover back on in the video. Also, there is a way how to make the cover loose properly (seen in other videos) and if you use metal screwdriver on plastic cover - you most likely gonna scratch it, so thanks but be more PRO.

it's a completely wrong way to change, you simply need to tilt the mirror and gently remove it. In this way, the plastic on the rearview mirror is easily damaged.
work it around the top perimeter; just a little bit at a time. hot weather conditions should help. also dont fix the blade head in one place and push forward. (i did not try that; but, plastic pry tools MAY be help). be gentle but dont be afraid to put your back into it.
Short and simple like it should be, when i see those 30min videos makes me no want to change nothing 😂

Don't use a metal screwdriver! Use a heavy duty plastic spudger.
