PM Modi to visit Moscow for India-Russia Annual Summit; first trip since Ukraine conflict

- PM Modi is scheduled to make an official visit to Russia for the 22nd Annual Summit in Moscow from July 8-9. This visit of PM Modi is the first trip to Russia since Moscow invaded Ukraine in 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin invited PM Modi to discuss contemporary regional and global issues. The leaders will review the entire range of multifaceted relations between India and Russia. PM Modi will also lay a wreath at Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Kremlin and visit an exhibition venue in Moscow. PM Modi’s trip is expected to reaffirm the longstanding ties between the two countries, which date back to the Cold War.
