I turn 47 years old this week in August, and I grew up watching him. Times were just so much better those days.

Daddy always watched Mr Sharp. I now know my dad would be laughing so early in the morning.

Wow...Irv's been dead 30 years....he was a legend. Preferred when they didn't pair him up with neophyte news personalities but no doubt they learned a lot from him.

Irv Sharp, Artie Levin, Hal Grant, George Bassett-some of my favorite memories.

My dad loved Irv Sharp and his jokes at the end of each show. Dad would always repeat them to us when he was getting us ready for school. LOL! Remember how he would play the organ and sing the morning song when they would come on the air? As a kid I could always tell what time it was (6:30 am) when I would hear Irv sing, "It's mornin" Good memories!

Anybody, remember "Cactus Joe"? Also, wasn't Irv Sharp the host for Classroom Quiz?

The grandfather of a friend of mine owned a service station in Roanoke, and he said that Irv Sharp was a total butt-hole.

I miss those days. I wish they kept all those tapes and would play them every morning again. I long for those days to come back. People have sure changed in these times . We need to go back to the way it was,

I wonder how many tapes of these shows exist today. Anybody Know?

My guess most if not all of them are archived.
