I got a Calcutta in California, great for flipping bass, salmon, saltwater, and when I got to Florida everyone that it was a strange reel. “Two small to troll big fish, too big for casting all day”. I love that thing!

Live here in Pinellas County, FL. Just went out yesterday after work around 3:30 PM. Slammed the trout. White doa paddletail and a mirrodine (greenback color) is always my go to in the winter, specially with a nice cold/sunny day!

The float in the carburetor was stuck open most likely. If I was a betting man I would say the carbs just need a little cleaning.

Your carburetor bowl float is sticking on your carb. you need to fix that or your engine could catch fire. sonic cleaner for all the carb parts. just be super careful with the jets.
also, and i'm sure you know, run ethanol free fuel and replace your rubber fuel lines with ethanol proof lines for extra security.
