There's at least 1 HUGE omission that would improve this approach a trillion times and bigger framework that should be considered

Vicky, you always set my mind off on a path of exploration. It's always a new rabbit-hole for me after watching one of your videos. In this case, it's the "opportunity costs" of the decisions that I've made, and not made. I'm not necessarily going to dwell on past decisions, but I'll certainly dig deeper into the opportunity cost going forward.

I would date the entry where you say YES it was the right decision.
You are likely to have doubts later on (days when you say I wish I was at Google) even if it the long run it was the right decision.
My framework is a story about boat owners, the two happiest days of a boat owner's experience are the day they buy their boat and the day they sell their boat (relieved of responsibility for chores and expenses).

I like that! Having the dates show us how we’ve progressed in our thinking will give us more clarity around what matters to us 👍

I really like this! I often have analysis paralysis and need to think things through very thoroughly (exhaustively?) before I can commit. (As we know this isn’t always a good thing…😂)
I’m trying think of an alternative phrasing for if the decision was a “good” one. I’m sure many folks won’t think anything of it, but I’ve been working at trying to not place a moral judgement on any one decision. The decision isn’t necessarily good or bad, right or wrong. You make the best choice at the time with the information you have on hand. As you get more information you can then make a new decision that takes those new data points into consideration.
    Love your videos! ❤

Great video as always. Leaving corporate politics for contracting was the best thing I ever did. Returning the company diesel car for a fancy Audi initially made me more popular, but as an introvert, I soon reverted back to type and stayed in more. 😀

Your videos are all so surprising, but helpful. I'm actually going through a job application process right now, so I think this specific example will be useful for me, even!

Fab vid - and strong move to leave Google to go back fully to your business! ❤ Tech question: that's a teeny tiny notebook for big questions!! Do you use it just for capture, but tgen record the full Decision / Questions / Answers / Insights in a notes or journal app or Notion etc?

Do you organize or warehouse all your frameworks?
I'm doing impromptu speaking each day on camera (generate a random topic, prepare for 2 minutes, speak for 5 minutes) to improve my day to day speaking skills and cognition, AND i remember your video of frameworks because that would be great for this activity. Yesterday the topic was about education, and the process of preparation that i do is to first write a point, then write like 3 things in favor of that and then a conclusion (2 min), well, i remember thinking "what are some frameworks for education?" 😬
    Cheers

Or fill out a new form on the decision to quit Google outlining what your expectations are post-Google. It's kind of like at budget where you compare your budget expectations with actual -- there are always variances and one can learn from them.
