    I love them. I have 3 rugs. I’ve had my ruggable rugs for over a year. They wash and dry well. I always think they shrank after drying. Then I just stretch them out over the Velcro paid until they fit...and they always do. No curling at the ends. I don’t see the Velcro pad after washing. I have two kids; and I placed the ruggable rugs in the kitchen and family room. So as you can see, the washable option is why I purchased ruggables. I’m so happy 😁. We have been in this house for basically a year and the rugs still look new after washing.

      Hi Pamela! I couldn't agree more. I think they wash up beautifully and they have saved us countless $$ from having to replace rugs due to kids and dogs. They just came out with a Jute Collection and I'm excited to try it! The rugs are so pretty!

    Hi, thank you for an excellent review. I was hoping you could confirm that the pad underneath is fully waterproof. My father has Parkinson’s and frequently spills whole cups of coffee. If the rug was on a carpet would the pad hold the moisture or would it seep through? Thank you in advance. Janet

    • @DecorHint
      @DecorHint  3 роки тому +15

      Hi Janet! That's a great question. In order to give an accurate answer on this, I tested this out myself. I poured a full cup of water directly onto my Ruggable Rug and waited about 10 minutes to see what would happen. I'm happy to report that no liquid came through the back onto the floor. In fact, nothing even came through the top layer of the rug onto the 2nd (bottom) layer! I hope that helps you! :)

      I do encourage you to reach out to the company with your questions to ensure it’s 100% safe for your father - they are very responsive and helpful though. I personally love these rugs very much!

      Update! I just checked the rug and a little bit of water seeped through to the floor - the rug is still wet because I didn’t really dry it up afterwards. I thought this would be helpful to know.

    Thanks for the helpful review! I'm wondering what type of washing machine you have, and whats the largest size rug you have?

      Hey Emily! The largest size rug I have is the 8x10, and we have a GE front-loading HE machine. It washes up great! Let me know if I can answer any additional questions for you. Thanks for watching! :)

    Hi - it looks like you have LVP flooring which I just had installed. Have you found that the Ruggable pads have discolored your flooring in any way as I would really like to order Ruggables? Thank you.

      Hi Valerie! I have engineered hardwoods, and I have not found any discloration on the floors! :)

    Are the base & top together fairly heavy? My small entry rugs have gotten worn & thin, & my robovac rolls them up & gets stuck on them. Also, would these be good for entry rugs, to wipe wet or muddy feet on? I’m having a hard time finding actual rugs. Seems everyone is going to mats, which are not absorbent at all. Thanks!

    • @DecorHint
      @DecorHint  2 роки тому +1

      Hi there! The rug itself and the pad are light in my opinion. I have the thinner rug pad, so I can’t speak for their newer more cushioned rug pad. We use one of these as an entry rug and it is helpful for coming in and out and catching wet shoes. We don’t wipe our feet on it persay, but I don’t see why you couldn’t use it for that purpose!

    In your opinion, would a ruggable rug be a good option to layer over a jute rug? And if so, would I still need the pad with the other rug under it and furniture on top? Thank you!

    • @DecorHint
      @DecorHint  2 роки тому +1

      Hi there! Yes I do think you could layer them, but I also think you still need the pad - it really keeps the rug from bunching up and being a tripping hazard as well since it helps it lay nice and flat.

    How long did you own the rugs before you reviewed them? Others have noticed curling on the edges that’s nearly impossible to remedy. Do you replace when this happens??

    • @DecorHint
      @DecorHint  2 роки тому

      Hi Courtney, I bought my first Ruggable rug more than five years ago. I have not had the curling issues with any of my rugs, and I’m not sure why others have experienced that but I’m sure that is frustrating. When I wash my rugs, I put them back on slightly damp - maybe that helps prevent the curling issue?

    What kind of flooring do you have? Worried about discolouration from the rug pad on laminate floors

    • @DecorHint
      @DecorHint  3 роки тому +1

      I have engineered hardwood floors and don't see any type of discoloration from the rug pad. To me, it feels like a rubbery bottom. According to Ruggable, the rug pad is made of the same latex-free material that is used in yoga mats - if that helps! :)

    • @DecorHint
      @DecorHint  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Judy! You're right - I should have a clip of me putting the rugs back together. I find that it's not too hard and gets easier and easier as you do it more. I line up a corner first and then attach the rest. If I get a wrinkle in it, I just pull up and reattach - smoothing the wrinkles out as I go. It takes me few minutes - that's it! :)

    What dry cycle do you use to dry the rug?

    • @DecorHint

      Hey there! I tumble dry on a normal cycle but using low heat. Sometimes I pull it out even if it's not 100% dry because it will air dry when reattached.

    What about the curling issue

    • @DecorHint
      @DecorHint  3 роки тому

      Hi there! I haven’t really experienced the curling issue with these rugs. If the rug isn’t lined up or is over stretched on top of the bottom layer, it might do this so be sure to gently place it on top. When I am trying to flatten a rug, I always place a bunch of heavy books on top for a few days.
