Sorry for your loss. I too lost my Mom last August. Yes, it sucks. I miss her everyday, especially our phone calls @ 8pm every night even if we had nothing to talk about for the day we still called one another. That was our time together & it was special & I'll never get to hear her advice again & it sucks. I do have a recording of her voice right before she passed away of what was her favorite flower was & her favorite colors. So I got a tattoo of illies on the side of my leg in her honor. It is so nice that it reminds me of all the lillies she had planted around her home. Prayers to you sweetheart & remember she lives on in your heart. ♥
I Father crossed-over when I was 11 and my Mother crossed-over when I was 36. I am now 64. The first year or two will be an emotional roller coaster. You will always miss your Mom, as you should. As my Medicine Woman, who is Yaqui, told me, remember you are grieving your missing of them on this plane that filled with sadness and pain. They are on the other plane now, free of pain. That is to be celebrated. They are still with us, we just have to learn the new language to communicate with them.

I had a feeling long ago that she was a fascinating person, just going by what I had learned about you and your sisters, especially the one that went to Baja California with you. Sorry for you and your family's loss. Its heartbreaking to loose someone so close. I lost my wife a few years ago. She was diagnosed with cancer and I lost her in less than 3 months. Life has never been the same. We met in 9th grade and have been together ever since. She was 50 when she passed. A part of me died with her, always remember the good times Simon. Make a memory!!!

I'm so sorry Simon losing a parent is so hard I was a caregiver for my mom for 8 years after a massive stroke. The sense of relief that she is no longer suffering is normal and healthy. She was so blessed to have all her kids there loving her!

No mater how much you try to prepare yourself for it, you just cant imagine how its actually going to feel. I am happy you could be there for her and your family until the end. I'm a truck driver and I also moved back home with my dad so we could keep my mom home when she went through Dementia. Thank God for family and the wonderful people who run home hospice programs. That help use keep her home and comfortable on her last days. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Simon, 36 years ago I lost my mother to cancer. It was a defining time in my life. I can look at who I was before, and who I am now and it is 2 different people. I took a deep look inward and stepped forward into life with a new direction. Was I wrong before that? No. But using that moment in life I reset myself. Guess what I am saying is look forward and realize what is real. She is not gone, she is just a thought away.

Hey Simon. I was scrolling through UA-cam today, and wondered why I haven't seen you pop up in such a long time. I thought maybe I got unsubscribed or something. I remembered the box of shirts I sent you a few years ago. Every time I go to the thrift store by the house, I am reminded of that and I think about you and hope that life is being good to you. My condolences for you regarding the loss of your mom. I cannot imagine what you must be feeling and going through. We are going through a situation with our mom right now. She wasn't acting right and hasn't been taking care of herself or her health as well as we thought she was. She had to be hospitalized about 6 weeks ago, and we decided that she needed to have 24 hour care to make sure she would get the meds and meals that she needs to maintain a good quality of life. It was a tough decision...seeing her so dependent on others now is still an adjustment. Let me know if I can help you or the channel out at all. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family brother.

Simon, 36 years ago I lost my mother to cancer. It was a defining time in my life. I can look at who I was before, and who I am now and it is 2 different people. I took a deep look inward and stepped forward into life with a new direction. Was I wrong before that? No. But using that moment in life I reset myself. Guess what I am saying is look forward and realize what is real.
She is not gone, she is just a thought away.
I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. It sounds like your mom had a wonderful life. My mom passed in November. I have some idea of your pain. I know I find joy in great memories and telling the stories. My prayers for your family.

Hey Simon. I was scrolling through UA-cam today, and wondered why I haven't seen you pop up in such a long time. I thought maybe I got unsubscribed or something. I remembered the box of shirts I sent you a few years ago. Every time I go to the thrift store by the house, I am reminded of that and I think about you and hope that life is being good to you. My condolences for you regarding the loss of your mom. I cannot imagine what you must be feeling and going through. We are going through a situation with our mom right now. She wasn't acting right and hasn't been taking care of herself or her health as well as we thought she was. She had to be hospitalized about 6 weeks ago, and we decided that she needed to have 24 hour care to make sure she would get the meds and meals that she needs to maintain a good quality of life. It was a tough decision...seeing her so dependent on others now is still an adjustment. Let me know if I can help you or the channel out at all. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family brother.

I understand what you mean by feeling ‘relief’, I also experienced that when my Dad passed just over 2 years ago ( about a week before we left Gabe). I have no doubt that your Mum was very proud of you because I know I am and we’ve only met a couple of times… I look forward to watching you evolve from life’s experience. You’ve been missed.
