- Here are 3 back to back games of Solo Wizard vs Duo's in Ruins in Dark and darker. I used an insanely high damage build which makes me extremely squishy but can dish out insane dps. Hope you guys enjoy, we made a bunch of gold from this one.

I feel like even though Ruins is a Duo Map, the mob density is lower than it is in Goblin Caves.. like some rooms in Caves have like 5-6 mobs in them all in one spot
The new Cave layouts definitely are overtuned when it comes to mobs. Some spawns are nearly impossible to clear on time with default gear when you spawn outside the circle.
I was thinking this too, GC mob spawns seem kinda high to me, although I'm new so idk whether they're overtuned or if it's just a skill issue
@@kodo2795 same, but i feel like doing Crypt or Ruins solo should be harder than Caves from a PvE standpoint, right? Because it isn't. PVP aside, Goblin Caves is by far the hardest map.

I literally just found this channel and im so happy to see dark and darker still being fairly alive. I played one of the playtests last december and it was so fun but really sucked that there was only one map. I'm not sure if i wanna drop 30$ on this game yet since i still dunno if its a game i'll stick with but watching it is so entertaining. Watching a couple of your wizard videos makes me really wanna play wizard if i buy the game lol. Normally i hate playing wizards but the spell swaps and zap shots look so satisfying, not sure if it would top how much fun barb was for me but it looks super cool.
wizard keeps getting nerfed and is really hard to get good at, and no matter how good your gear is a good longbow one shots you in the head. but if youre good at wizard it is really fun to play

yo! love the videos! I have a few questions about the crystal sword. what stats do I need to improve to make the damage better? also, what enchantments on the sword itself should I be looking for? thank you!
For an ignite build you should stack lots of +additional and + true magic to buff your sword and ignite damage, try to get at least +2 on boots, spellbook and knecklace, they're often priced at around 50-100 at this range.
You will want to bring your strength as close to 10 as you can. Having less than 10 strength causes you to lose a lot of health and physical power per point of strength. If you can't raise it due to a low budget or lack of gear on vendor you'll still be fine as long as you have some damage gear.
Your second ability should always be shield since ignite recovers quickly and the extra survivability is required anyway. Fireball is a good spell to have since ignite wizard gets bullied by doors without it.

In your first run the top right section has some way to go underground by smashing boards I think, and you come back out via one of those towers using the gate. I saw someone do it the other day but missed how to get down there. Do you know where the entrance to that area is by any chance?

gold ore goes for 200 a piece on eu server xD you can get 1-1.2k for an ingot and you can use it for storing 5k in 4 slots

I think the game would play better if the normal way to play was more tarkov style with no zone and more dungeon crawling and the leader board grinding stuff had a zone to force fights or whatever that whole goal is

I'm thinking about getting into Wizard, my biggest question is how you know when you can afford to use your spells on PvE? Noticed you used a couple magicmissile, fireball etc. to kill some mobs at the start. My biggest problem is that I never want to use my spells on mobs because I might need them in a PvP fight and don't know if I'll get a chance to meditate. So I end up taking some chip damage from the mobs because I'm still learning how to kite them effectively. Any tips? :)
Magic missiles are pretty expendable, they're typically only for zoning in pvp, so you can keep people out of doorways or from pushing you, and they also are some of the best pve killers. You'll find yourself using magic missiles for killing really any pve.
another thing to also note is that when you meditate youll get
3 magic missiles
2 fireballs
5 zaps
2 haste/invis
so keep that in mind when you are clearing if you wanna stay full on spells. I personally use missiles for all chonky mobs, and zaps for deathwings/dragon fly's bc they one tap them. Dont be afraid to use magic staff for meleeing mobs or even getting a quarterstaff if you wanna be sure to stay ready for a pvp fight. as a wizard you have insane disengage with invis/haste combo so use that to pick your fights.
I probably messed up and sold a 4 additional, 3 true and 2 will spellbook for 1250g, could have got a key i think. but its funny seeing kits like this cause when i run them i insta die.

Solo Wiard runs around in top tier gear two shotting people and looting the good stuff off them. This game is about gear and who can jump who first.

I wonder if with enough gear and fire mastery you can actually one zap some of the classes such as rogues and rangers.
Fire mastery doesn't work with zap
Fire mastery doesn't affect Zap, it's a Light spell. And you can, at +24 magic damage you oneshot default Rogue (since they're at -10% magic res and 87 hp without Jokester).

Decent aim + Super good gear = Win. The TTK is super short in this game with high tier gear. That you can one to two tap most people if they are not on the same gear level as you. This game is pretty much about gear more then skill.
Man, my wizard never feels that good i feel like after 1v1's in the goblin caves i am out of spells. Probably because i am garbage. But with examples like this maybe i can inprove. Do you have a discord for your channel?

@@darkeldunari6744 Even a mid set is tremendously more powerful than a base wizard kit. You have to think of it more like having a more powerful weapon that you're stacking. Except YOU are the weapon. Magic missile alone becomes gross. It has all those instances of +1 for each missile.
@@darkeldunari6744 alot of people in this game is in the same boat. Find it hard to gear up and make money. While the higher tier players find it easy to get gear and gold. So they constantly dunk on lower tier players. When people of low tier complain, the higher tier say you can get the same gear. But if it was that easy to gear up then everyone would be running gear.

I like your content Red. Been playing this game a bit myself, but honestly some of this video reminds me why I'm not really happy with Dark and Darker. Like. Some of those teams. TEAMS had no chance against you. Basically being one shot, or blown away with fireballs, that they can't move fast enough to escape from, and you end up basically not even touching their gear.
I usually can't afford much stuff. I'm not super good at the game. Just got my first character to 20 kind of stuff, but like. Running into a trio of purple stacked, legendary equipped players, that no matter how good I am, I can't even do more than 25% damage to? Yeah I don't like that. And I saw some of that in this video. And I'm a lover of Git Gud in games, there is still... Like there still needs to be some level playing field to some extent. That last game I didn't really feel delighted at your wins, I just felt kind of sad because some of those guys weren't super geared, that might have been their best stuff.
The game is not an esport, yes.
Although "no matter how good i am" is dramaqueenization, it might be somewhat true vs good and geared wizard, but everything else is a fair game. Unless you just want to trade stabs ofcourse.
Decent aim + Good gear= win, This game is way more about gear then skill. I wanna see all the purple nurple people have to fight each other for a change and see the out come.
@@alekzanderor5489 That's not really accurate. Sure sometimes. You can do a run and have everyone in comparable gear. Those can be fun runs. But most of the time you get the one guy in purps, while everyone else is in normal stuff. You are going through the map looting. You find someone. Oh a barb, You fight them. Maybe you out space them, get a few hits off. You manage to evade some blows. You are totally winning... Then you get hit one, and you're health is at 10%. They hit you again you die. You check their health after, and they have 50-70% of their health left. Because your weapon just can't do enough damage to get through their overstacked stat pool.
I like the game. No matter how good I am. I snot DramaQueenization. Nice made up word there BTW. It's just truth. Against someone fully stacked up. If you aren't equipped you can't win most of the time.

You dont quite have to fight other players, objective is to get out from the map, its part of the fun to dodge/escape/choose this encounters.
