A couple of Amish brothers and their families live not far from me on the Pa./NY border. They have a modern saw mill for selling rough cut lumber. It's very reasonable considering the cost of box store lumber prices these days! They also collect, process and sell their own Maple syrup. Their wives and children raise and sell vegetables, flowers, soaps, and wooden toys. I stop by for their homemade ice cream (about once a week when they post the sign.)

Don't you need to let the hay dry out for a day or two before you bale it? I thought that wet hay in a barn can spontaneously combust in the heat.
