Thanks for the great review, I have the DP in the OD green X-Pac and it is just such an awesome EDC pack. I have said it before that this should be the EDC pack of the year! A great layout and look and even when heavily packed out it remains super comfortable to carry.
Very sexy backpack, I'm debating with myself if it should join my backpack collection for EDC purposes, but I think I'd prefer an dedicated laptop compartment, but then again, that would add thickness and bulk which would make it tickle the territory of my Aer Travel Pack 3 Small X-Pac which I use for minimalist travelling, but also for my extended tech EDC...kinda hard to decide right now lol, my Aer bag could do on it's own, but sometimes the main compartment is too big for EDC only, that's why this Able Carry Daily Plus looks very appealing to me, use the Able Carry for EDC and the Aer Travel Pack Small solely for traveling. Either way, I appreciate your highly informative reviews! Edit: I got it now, but I gotta say, as good as it looks, there're a few things I find kinda annoying/would like to see improved: 1. why haven’t they used a soft liner for the laptop compartment? The padding itself seems nice, but the ripstop material feels rough and I wouldn’t want to slide a nice laptop in and out of there without the laptop being in some sort of protective sleeve, a bit of microfibre material would’ve prevented this, seems like a very obvious oversight since every other backpack I own (especially in this price range) has a fleece lined laptop compartment. 2. this bag looks and feels very big for the actual size of it‘s internals, think this is due to the rounded design of it compared to other more rectangular bags with the same litre capacity, they just give you more room for stuff to put in the bag, but I’m willing to let that slide for the sleek design. It still bothers me a bit though because in terms of height measurements etc it is basically as big as my Aer TP3 Small, but at the same time, it has less room, no separate laptop compartment, etc. 3. it could use just one more pocket somewhere for more organization of small things, the way it is now you only have the stretchy pockets in the main compartment, the zippered pocket in the main compartment and the zippered pocket in the front panel, this just leads to me stuffing little items like chapstick, chewing gum etc in that little front zipper pocket where its annoying to get these things out when there's also other things in there. Just one more pocket that's accessible from the outside (like a sunglass compartment) could fix that for me. 4. This is the reason why the hidden compartment on the back doesn't fix issue number 3, the pocket on the back is too slim/stiff, i think it's basically only usable for a passport which means it's not really a pocket I use in day-to-day use because it's so cumbersome to get things in and out of it, might be due to the frame sheet being very hard and pressing up against said pocket. Sorry for rambling here, maybe someone that's overthinking backpacks as much as I am is finding this helpful lol.
Thank you for watching and for the support! Definitely an awesome bag, I agree the travel pack 3 small can kind of do it all but this would be a great more minimal alternative!
Great video as always Danny. Kind of makes me regret getting the black, wish they'd offer this in a red or dark red though because the non-black bags they have are awesome, as highlighted by the olive you have
Thank you Dean!! The olive has definitely been great, but I was pretty tempted by the black as well haha I have the max and the older daily backpack in black and they look really sleek!
I am trying to decide between the ablecarry daily plus, Alpaka elements pro and Aer city pack pro. I generally carry a larger water bottle with me, yeti 1 L so I need to factor that in. The able carry and alpaka look so clean but the aer might have the most capacity and features? What are your thoughts?
Thank you for watching! All are definitely solid options, I agree the city pack pro can probably hold the most (although the daily plus is fairly close) and it would probably be my top choice due to the dedicated laptop compartment and the layout.
Thanks for the great review Danny! Can you share a good 3rd party strap to attach for a luggage pass through as seen in this video. That might be the difference between me keeping or return the back that just arrived 🙏🏼
Thank you for watching! I have included a link to the wandrd straps that I typically use in the description, but boundary supply and peak design might have some good ones as well
You pointed out a big issue with the laptop slot - if the backpack is full, it will be difficult to remove a laptop from its slot because of all of the other contents getting in the way. This is why every backpack should have its own dedicated laptop compartment that is separate from the main compartment regardless of price. Great reviews as always
Are you gonna take a look at the a Evergoods MPL22? Seems like a good competitor to the Daily Carry Plus, Daybreaker 2, CHZ22, PLC20, and the Belroy Transit Workpack & Classic Backpack.
Hey Danny, commenting to show appreciation for your videos and to suggest a bag for you to check out. I haven’t been able to find any reviews yet on the Dakine Motive Backpack 30L and love the stone color. Not sure on whether to pull the trigger or go get a similar bag.
Thank you for watching! Definitely a tough choice, overall I lean towards the city pack for the organizational layout and the look, but the daily plus will feel bigger and be able to hold more (both have a rock solid build quality)

Thank you for watching and that’s awesome to hear you’ve had a great experience with the daily pack!
Your reviews are always so informative and interesting. Thanks for all the awesome content.
Thank you for watching and for the support!:)

Great feedback, thank you. Helped me decide this isn’t the bag for me.

Just bought the cpl24 in xpac, but this is perfect with the water bottle pocket
Thank you for watching! The cpl in xpac is definitely an awesome alternative as well!
I love the hidden pocket at the top. That’s my only gripe about to GoRuck hidden pockets…how shallow they are.
thank you for the great review!
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful!:)

Thank you for watching and for the support! Definitely a fan of having a dedicated laptop area, so much easier to use
It’s a deal breaker for me on an otherwise great bag.

Thank you for watching and for the support! The motive backpack looks like a pretty solid option overall!
Do you think a 17 in laptop can fit? 15.67L x 10.44W x 1.06H inches
Are you up to doing a review of the most recent Able Carry Daily?
hey Danny, the link in your description doesn't include the source. It can cause you some lost affiliated sales.
Thank you for watching and for the tip! Will work on updating that now!
They have a 20L and 21L 🤔
I need a 20½L

Danny, in your opinion, AER City Pack vs Able Carry, thanks
Thank you for watching! Definitely a tough choice, overall I lean towards the city pack for the organizational layout and the look, but the daily plus will feel bigger and be able to hold more (both have a rock solid build quality)
