Mine usually does it on its own but I have had to stop and let it regen. It idled up by itself for about 20 minutes. I kept checking the temp and what not. Eventually it idled back down by itself and was ready to go. 5065E. I love mine.
I have a 5603 and a 5090e and love them both and even though the 5603 supposedly has more hp at the engine and pto this 5090e just does a better job plowing, I run a 3 bottom "16" plow and the 5090e never bogs down and I plow 15"-17" deep. I hated the idea of this whole regen crap but man i am amazed at the power. They are great tractors.
my 2014 3038e is doing an active regen after every 15 min or so of running. A light comes on and tells me to increase rpm to 1500. When I do, it' goes into regen and it lasts for about 30 min. The soot level goes from about 78% down to 72%. Should I try to do a parked regen? Need help. Thanks. Called dealer but all they would tell me it to bring it in.
A little confused by all these negative comments. Of course we would all like to go back to the days of no emissions controls on tractors, but those days are solidly behind us. This regen system is a lot better than using DEF, and if you run your tractor like a tractor, it shouldn't be a problem. I had exactly ONE regen in my first 100 hours, and it was right at 100 hours. I kept on cutting and let the regen do its thing, and it was done long before I was. I'm curious to know if the folks having problems run their tractors at lower rpm's for long periods of time.
The negative comments are from folks tired of dealing with all the problems these systems cause. For example, some tractors do a regen every 4 hours and it takes 30 min. So not only are you wasting a bunch of expensive fuel but the down time is crazy. Plus cost of repairs. Instead of listening to this guys sales pitch, talk to their mechanics, cause his soot level is completely plugged spewing his lies in this video.
@@SunSouthJohnDeere please confirm if motor oil condition also influences the frequency of regen. If I don't change my motor oil before it is black will regen be more frequent and longer to return back to normal status.
I had no idea what was happening and I shut it off not knowing. My dealer is kind of a so and so for not telling me what's up. Hopefully I can do it by myself.
Got a 4052r at work. It's done about 4 regens in it's first 100 hours. Every time it gets stuck in regen, leave it running for 2+ hours and it won't stop regen mode. What a joke
My 5075E regens at and only at every 100 hours, and I'm very often at idle with it out in the woods and whatnot. Regens take between 15-25 minutes for it, and I've been very impressed with how little it regens for as much as people complain about the issues regens cause. With that said, the reality is, is that even having to have all this emissions on a piece of AG or O/R equipment is what's the joke. A diesel engine running a lot of boost and compression want to breathe and stopping it up is going to lesson reliability and lead to more issue than you otherwise would have. It forces the potential for an unnecessary problem. It's like smoking 2 packs of cancer sticks a day and expecting to be efficient at running marathons. Some people might can do it, but it's counterproductive, and most people who smoke that much won't be able to manage running a mile, much less a marathon.
John dear calls it operator error if you let your tractor idle for any amount of time. No warranty to fix regen issue. 500$ to plug into it. John deere sucks.

That’s why I have a 1981 John Deere 2240 with zero emissions.
My regen light is on and has not went off. I drove it up the road for a while by apparently not long enough. Should I run the PTO on high?

Does diesel additive for smoke reduction and gel point affect regen?
Hi Dan! Deere additives will not affect the regen. We can not speak for other brands though. Thank you!

Do you have to add def to a 5055e ?

It wont let me do a parked regen
It means you don't need it
what triggers the regen? #of hrs, soot level?
Both

Maybe run at higher rpm
