Breathtakingly beautiful! I admire your light touch with watercolor. Your glazing is perfect. I admire your ability to mix your colors so easily on the palette and know exactly what they will do on paper. I have to use a test paper!
Thank you so much for your kind words, you know color mixing came to me with time, I had to do a lot of color testing before too🌸now it's mostly by looking at my color swatches and memory, remembering what colors look like on a paper when mixed together

Again, another lovely inspiration. Maria, would you know from the very start how many layers of washes you would need to do ? I thought you were done with the 2 lower petals and I was happy with those , but then you came with a third layer, and whoaaa! It added another dimension. I’m really learning a lot from you.
Hi🤗🌸when I first start painting, I make a plan.. so I kinda have an idea.. starting off wet on wet.. then wet on dry or the other way around etc but eventually I don't know if I am going to need another layer, it depends on what I see, what happens on my watercolor paper. Thank you so much🌸🤗🌹

another amazing demonstration I love watching you paint and strive to make my work as detailed as you. Do you work from a photo or an actual flower. If photos where do you get the images from. Thanks for taking the time and effort to produce these videos.
Hi Elaine, thank you so much :) It depends on what I'm painting but mostly working with different images for flowers I usually take pictures myself etc thank you!

I am wondering, have you had formal art training such as art school or tutoring or are you self taught? I wonder if one has to be born with talent or with enough diligence and practice can one become talented? Anyway, your work is beautiful and inspiring.Thank you for sharing.
Hi Christina :) thank you so much! Happy to know I inspire you! I'm a self taught artist, started couple years ago but with watercolors it's all about learning techniques and controlling water and paint. Once you understand all this and learn the techniques you will be able to paint anything :) It's like flowers... as long as you have a lot of patience you can do it. I am saying this because with flowers it's all about starting with a pencil sketch and then washes after washes, light washes.. waiting until dry etc etc then details then wash again...

Hi Thai :) Thank you so much, most of my brushes are by Utrecht but I am looking to buy different brushes, different brand. These are very cheap. Durable and good but I feel like I need to explore more :)

They are beautiful arnt they ;) The forbidden flower :). We have the pink lady slippers here, we find them in the woods up here in NH, pretty rare to see them, and you never must pick them, ever!!
lol I wouldn't dare to pick them haha but it's lovely you can see them. I have never seen them myself... I often walk around the neighborhood just to take photos of different flowers in people's gardens :)

Hey Monia :) dziekuje ci bardzo za bardzo mily komentarz i ciesze sie bardzo ze tak ci sie podobaja moje filmy i ze je ogladasz :) Co do papieru Arches Pad to ja zwykle wyrywam papier i klade bezbosrednio na szkle, wtedy przy uzyciu wody i farb, ten papier sie przykleja (wet on wet) i sie dobrze wtedy maluje. Bloki ogolnie sa najlepsze bo wtedy papier caly czas zostaje w tym bloku, przyklejony az go oderwiesz. Bloki sa o wiele drozsze niestety. Ale arkusze sa tez bardzo dobre. W sumie to wole arkusze od Pad, dlatego ze z arkuszami mozna wyciac jaki rozmiar sie chce. Pozdrawiam :)🌹🤗🌺🌺

Thank you Tammara🤗I like Cold Pressed as much as Rough watercolor paper, very often I choose papers randomly, rough has more texture... I guess sometimes it's more fun to paint flowers on it because of the texture.

I have tried pastels... it's just not really my medium haha so messy! lol😄maybe at some point, one day.. I would have to get new pastels first.🙃😋
The watercolor techniques you use, especially in your landscape drawings really helped me out. I would like to know how you create such detailed stripes with brushes, because I can't do this with mine:p Thank you in advance!
Hi Renia, thank you so much :)) It's about timing.. when the paper is still slightly wet, then the best brush for detailed stripes is Rigger brush, long and thin.. it makes a difference when you hold it and do your strokes :)
