Benching 1.5x BW is very good. 1.75x BW is awesome 2x BW is elite and the genetic limit. BUT it's not just about BW ratio. It's also about leverage aka limb length. This guy (David Laid) had VERY LONG limbs aka bad leverage. So it's much harder for him. A 1.75xBW bench is more like a 2x BW bench. I dont's know his BW but his 177k bench is probalby more than 2x BW and witch his long limbs more like a 2.3x BW BENCH ! This is ridicolous strong even on gear. The same goes for his high bar backsquat! He is stronger than most powerlifters in his weightclass. He just have long limbs aka bad leverage for powerlifting but GREAT for asthetics!
Do all of that using the Larson press technique eliminate that leg drive you are utilizing. Once you have mastered the Larson press you'll have unleashed power you never knew you had
This timelines all wack. First clip he was 16 so the title of ur vids wrong and theres clips of him doing 135 for one 135 for 8 and 185 for a couple back when he was 15
Of course, I’m also a fan of David, but he makes a very big mistake during the bench press. For example, from the age of 16 to 19, he would raise his pelvis up during the exercise, and that’s where he got so many back problems from, not from deadlifts.
If the butt comes off the bench during comp, the lift doesn't count. He's in a public gym so who cares but I wouldn't count it as a pr if butt came off the bench
My goal is oneday to bench four plates natural , which is 180kg , I'm currently 15years old , 66kg bw and my bench pr is 95kg
You need really good genetics for that and years of training. Not everyone can just do it. It’s super super rare to find someone doing it natural
@@Athos1776 I agree , gonna be hard and I hope to do it one day , lexx did it naturally at 21
Good luck, I'm 14 and have the same goal
Big boy,I bench only 100 kg,but I look so skinny(
@@waid07chances are 405 isn’t natural. he can say that all he wants.
Sick af brah!!
The Dream ✨
This dude strong asl. He don’t even look like he weigh 200+
in the last clip he was 205 lbs

Great leverage for deadlift tho!
There’s no such thing as a genetic limit lift

Still pretty funny how a 14 year old benching 230Ibs.
@@aestheticspowerdon’t sweat it bro the vids great the clips of him doing 135 were in his 2nd or 3rd transformation vid

Жёстко,но жаль,что откатил Дэвид немного
Щас вроде по чуть-чуть возвращается, за инстой его слежу
the jump from 154kgs to 165kgs was sus 💉💉
154 looks like a normal bar, 165 deadlift bar
He clearly was on sarms or something
Definitely a little something. His physique is natty achievable with top genetics and 8 years of hard work
@@TowardtheFlames no
And also started using deadlift bar for bench
He was and still on gear tf u talking about
a lot more than just sarms most likely on test and other compounds for recovery
stronger
😍
roids path not natural
My bench is 75 kg at weighing 60 kg my goal is bench 100 kg before turning 20 yr old
How is it going
60KG u can put 15kg at each side at max 15+15+20kg(bar weight)= 50kg the other 25kg ur lyin
@@user-en9qs4jt5k bro i cam bench 80 kg now 30 kg on each side and 20 kg bar and my bw is 64.5

Is taking your butt of the bench cheating?
Yes
Yes, in powerlifting competition, now. Doing heavy weights +95 kg in perfect form is so dificult.
@@Antonio_rutino
not really
