Even though I know it was him in the movie, my brain still refuses to believe it. Probably the most I’ve ever seen an actor transform into a role. Insane
I felt the same way watching Angelina Jolie sing opera in her new film “Maria” opera training can really transform a persons voice and has been used a lot in Hollywood!
I understand now why the chose him from his other films like IT. He is just awsome talented actor, he will reach to the stars in his generation and will continue to surprice us all, hopefully one day win a oscar
Cannot stress enough that every performance in this film was excellent, Bill's work with the voice is something I am still thinking about two days later.
Orlok's presence filled the screen in a way I've never experienced before. The minute the credits rolled, I knew the movie would stay woth me for a while. Stunning work by the whole cast.
I was legitimately scared of Count Orlok. That scene where Thomas opens the door in the castle and Orlok is just walking towards him in the dark scared the shit out of me. 😭 Bravo to Skasgard. He did it first with Pennywise and now again with Count Orlok. 👏👏
@@XXtheJUMPoffXX you got to see orlock for 12 seconds and everyone claims it’s the best Dracula ever. You could have honestly had anyone play the vampire, in my opinion. In some scenes it was so dark you couldn’t even see what was going on. I might have had way too high of hopes.
@@rifledepot6067 Yeah some scenes were definitely dark, but I think it lent mystery to Count Orlok’s character to not have him on full display too much. I did have a critique that some scarier scenes could’ve been drawn out more, rather than just a few seconds of blood splatter. But overall I think that it was a very tastefully done remake. I agree Orlok could’ve been played by anyone but Bill did a great job nonetheless
He is Swedish. The name Skarsgård is Swedish. Actors change their voices and accents for roles all the time. The only part that remotely looked like Bill were Orlock’s eyes. The deep set eyes and strong brow ridge were the same, but he disappeared into that character. Not a fan of his Pennywise (Tim Curry was my favorite in that role), but Bill did a fine take on the vampire.
I am really looking forward to seeing him as Nosferatu which am really excited for it’s a film that I think everyone been waiting for including myself I was a fan of the original one from 1922 and seriously can’t wait to see this one
It's been said that it also helped him a lot to deepens his voice by eating fried hog's snouts with okra cookies every morning and evening for the whole duration of the filming!
I was very curious what Orlock would look like especially because people who saw it early were all saying it was a questionable choice but personally when I saw it I liked it . The mustache looked cool to me.
@skepticalbutopen4620 making sense with the time period would take a backseat to not making people laugh. Because thats what happened in my theater, christmas, opening night.
@@TheWhills lol thanks but I just don’t get why people are having that reaction to it . Dracula was based on Vlad the Impaler who had a big mustache. But I suppose people just see a big mustache as goofy because it’s so out of fashion today but it wasn’t seen that way back then.
I liked the period and the first half, that being said it really dragged and i wasn't a huge fan of Bill's nosferatu, but hey to each their own... he put alot into it im sure
I don't like Bill Skarsgard... I think he is too hyped... someone else much older and seasoned like Statham, Keanu, M. But the voice was incredible, I was sure it was a ton of effects, and the facial expression and the movements Yeah, Skars killed it! This role was made for him it was so deliciously depraved IN A GOOD WAY, and he lived in it. I am going to see it again. I was blown away but only because I didn't remember that Skars was Nosferatu until half the movie was gone... and the window scene him killing the kids, his familiar body mechanics and his facial contours jumped out and I was like, I can't believe it. Anyway, So far Bram Stoker's Dracula, Keanu and Wynona is the best modern take of classic Vampires followed by Salem's Lot, and Drucula Untold, Nosferatu is going to slip right in there with one of the top 10 I am sure, because it was also well written.

Colin Ferrell in penguin?

Same. But did you notice the child actors were really subpar.
But I agree all else was incredible.
The voice was spot on for the character. Very commanding and bigger than big. Oh and those hands! Great movie!
Bill's like 6"4 he must be terrifying in full costume.
Lily said in an interview his shoes are elevated in the costume too
He was 7 feet tall in the movie.

That final scene was amazing and heartbreaking.
Facts. So bittersweet
She kept him there instead of letting him go ,
The cast probably can't wait for the press tour to end so they can be done answering the same questions.
Wow I went in intentionally not knowing much about the movie as I usually do, and was blown away.
So the next natural step would for him to play a death metal vocalist, right? That'd be sick.
Bill killed it, the movie is a modern classic 👌
Did we watch the same movie?

Hope it’s better than The Crow
Fantastic movie
I’ll give the crow a pass that was awful but Bill made up for it with Nosferatu and boy kills world both awesome!!
Jim Carreys Grinch, Heaths Joker and now Bills Nosferatu. Best transformations!
Anything else?
My bad, Mongolian throat singing, I thought it was Tibetan... Dunno the difference between them though. Impressive nonetheless.
What was the point of the mustache
🔥
Stop calling him Nosferatu, it’s Orlock. Nosferatu is just the generic term for vampire.

Funny, i thought this was a silent film?
How have you come to that conclusion?
As long as he never ever take a role like The Crow ever again then he is redeemable. What a horrible decision made on his part.
He did an incredible job, but I wasnt creeped out out as much as I had hoped to be. The overall look he has is actually funny once you see it all.
