A part of me kinda wishes Ranboo had gotten to see the red one day left title screen. Genuinely one of the creepiest moments for me with it glitching between Sunny and Omori with the music in the background. As someone who beat this game a little over a month ago, this was an emotional rollercoaster. One of my favorite games of all time. There were multiple points where I was getting hit in the feels. I loved the story. The characters. The pain. The tragedy. The music. Seeing the title screen change creeped me out like I mentioned but ultimately made it worth it when the sky became clear and Sunny woke up to the real world with Basil and the others(even though Ranboo didn't get the secret ending of Basil and Sunny smiling at each other). Even though that doesn't neccesarily mean their trauma is gone, they're ready to take that first step forward. It's okay to live. Every day is a new adventure. Always move forward. And find someone to share those adventures with.

I was so surprised by how spot on they were!!
Also I love the parallel of Mari’s death and Aubrey pushing Basil into the lake. In both cases they were only meant to be pushed away, but something terrible ended up happening. If hero hadn’t arrived when he did Basil would have suffered a similar fate to Mari.

Can Omori fans explain the lore to me? All I know is this and I might be completely wrong (SPOILERS AHEAD): Omori’s name is Sunny. Sunny pushed his sister down the stairs during an argument and she died(?). His sister loved him a lot, and Sunny was traumatized by this, and a lot of his existing phobias got worse as he became a shut in and his parents didn’t support him much. I don’t know what happened to Basil, but they ended up traumatized and depressed too. The others were similarly grieving but coped a lot better over time. Is that correct?
Basil basically watched Sunny push Mari down the stairs and helped cover the murder by hanging her with Sunny, and then Sunny hid themself in the house afterwards leaving Basil to cope by himself.
Btw, there is more to the story then what I added (such as Sunny ruining the photos in the photo album and Basil taking the blame for that which caused him to get bullied by Aubrey) but it is too complicated for a single comment. I suggest watching a video explaining it.
Sunny and Mari were preparing for their recital and basil was there to help them get ready and at some point i think Sunny didnt want to play anymore because he wasnt ready and he tried running away, when Mari blocked the stairs with her body and he pushed her out of the way and broke his violin. After she fell down the stairs she ended up dying with a smashed violin at the bottom of the stairs and Basil saw everything, and they tried to see if she was still alive by bringing her upstairs and then since they were scared kids they framed her death as a suicide, which is why Basil and Sunny are the only two people who feel responsible for her death. (theres also videos where they show the actual subtitles meant for the truth photo album on youtube)
sunny and mari are siblings, sunny was learning the violin while mari played the piano. they had a recital coming up, but sunny wasn't ready. mari kept pushing him because she was a perfectionist and sunny threw his violin down the stairs in anger. mari got upset at him, they had an argument and basil arrived at their house to check on them, where he was greeted with sunny pushing mari down the stairs. they tried to wake her up but mari was dead/not waking up, so basil made a plan and helped sunny hang mari- nobody else knew about it. basil met up with sunny a little after the incident and sunny got upset seeing mri in the pictures so he scribbled them out, which basil took the blame for. after this, aubrey was upset at basil for scribbling out the photos and they stopped being friends. Sunny stayed at home for four years. his parents knew the truth and this caused his dad to leave, while his mother became negligent.
Sunny and basil both developed psychosis after the incident- that's why basil acts so erratic and anxious, aside from his anxiety. It's why he sees 'something'. it also might be why basil freaked out at the lake when aubrey and the hooligans where there- they didn't do anything to him, but he was having a psychotic break. that's what im pretty sure the game was implying, anyways.
Another note I'd like to put out there that helps to explain character points!: Each character represents a different stage of grief, Sunny being denial, Aubrey being anger, Hero being depression, basil being bargaining, and Kel being acceptance ^^

Genuinely, I saw that movie like, every Halloween until we couldn't really get TV anymore.
It would play every year, and it's been so long that when Ranboo first said I was like, "Oh, must have missed some dialogue."
Then I realized what was in front of the characters, and IMMEDIATELY, thought of monster house, I genuinely just started laughing out loud to myself, but now I'm just disappointed that no one got the reference apparently...

I agree, except for the fact sites that do have such things, use a third party, which half the time doesn't even let you submit the photos, let alone check them, such as ID .me literally called the United States of America foreign to the United States of America, and when I contacted them, their solution was to do the process that I contacted them to fix because I physically cannot do it, they were like "Oh, you can't contact a specialist? Too bad, the solution is you NEED to contact a specialist." Tell me how this makes any logistical sense? This is something I'm trying verify my ID for in order to OPERATE MY BUSINESS, it's been months now as well...
So, I think an in house system that's just a part of the platform itself, work make more practical sense.

The worst of the violence will happen in "Black Space," an in-game environment that is unavoidable. All gore is pixelated/abstract but is used as a jumpscare.
Depending on the actions of the player, an ending in which Basil and/or Sunny kill themselves is possible. You do not see the act happening if it's Basil, but you will see Sunny attempt. Neither of these are guaranteed to happen! If they choose to let Omori take over, or choose to ignore Basil, then these additional scenes will occur.
The central character self-harms or stabs themself as a means of game progression. This occurs in White Space or Black Space. It is unavoidable.
The main character will often be ableist toward himself, using language such as "psychopath" or being incredibly harsh on himself in other ableist ways. No characters outside of himself will be ableist toward him.

Depression doesn’t go away for most people, depression doesn’t make you sad many times. You feel numb, a sense of dull sadness, not an exact sadness but still numb and sad. You can still feel happy, but that happiness is a dull and numb happiness. You know you’ll be numb once this happy moment ends so it feels numb to an extent. But, there’s an extent to feel again, there’s an extend to be happy. Medication, therapy, people, you can feel happy again. That numb feeling will dull away with time, and you may not think you’ll ever get better, and you’re right to a certain extent, you won’t be completely normal again. Early 2023 one day I couldn’t get out of bed, I wasn’t sick physically, I just couldn’t, I couldn’t leave my bed to eat or shower, multiple of my pyjamas had to be thrown away because they were to dirty from my sweat. All the guilt and emotions that had been festering for a while spilled out and I became the most anxious and depressed I have ever been, all that progress to feel normal after the pandemic gone just like that. I didn’t go to school since. Now it’s the 31st of December. I’ve been struggling with depression and anxiety for over a decade now, not because I’m in my 20s, I’m 11-15. I can’t remember a time where I didn’t have some form of depression and anxiety. You’re not alone. Many of us have suffered through something. Despite my reasoning for it only staying suicidal ideation was because “I don’t want to leave the people who care about me thinking they could’ve done something to stop me me.”. You’re not alone, you will feel again, you’re a person, you never were less than a human, struggling doesn’t rid you of your humanity. Take it from me, if I can recognise that, you can to. It’s okay to take you time, healing doesn’t happen in one day, find a support system you can rely on, there are helplines and just search up your city and “suicide crisis line” and you probably will get an answer. Don’t commit suicide, it’s a permanent solution to a not permanent problem, you won’t feel this shit forever, trust me, this time you can.

While checking up on this to see any mistakes I added a new paragraph (I changed the “edit” labels so my brain won’t suffer) and changed the 8th paragraph to include Sunny’s perspective along with Mari’s and honestly I almost began tearing up checking if the timestamps were correct because while doing this edit, do you know what I was listening to? I found a version of ‘Good Morning’ with the whole ‘Omori’ team singing the words and I thought “Oh is that on Spotify?” and it was so I listened to that and now I wanna cry because goddess be damned I’m not almost having the waterworks start running while consuming media that is so sweet it’s sickly that involves ‘Omori’ I guess???????? But yeah who knew I was able to bring myself to tears am I right?
I knew, while coming up with a fanfiction/AU for a piece of media I enjoy that’s inspired by ‘Omori’ I cried, I’m still working on the thing and I haven’t started writing but I’m slowly getting through planning and oh Goddess despite it being slow I’m just hating myself for the fact I’m going to make the start kinda hit hard, the middle hit you with the feeling of being on your period but there’s no blood and instead agony and and make it be across your entire body, and the ending be similar to ‘Omori’ but with a bit of my touch… basically what I imagine people feel when reading ‘Passerine’ which is something I shall not touch with a 50 foot pole because I would like to keep my little sanity, I avoid anything to do SBI fluff then angst because 1, not my taste, and 2, IT’LL DESTROY ME AND I CAN’T HANDLE THAT, I WILL STICK TO READING MY LITTLE EVIL GREMLIN VILLAIN BEING A FUCKING GOBLIN AND TRAUMATISED THANK YOU VERY MUCH. @@wishbee947 not really no, there isnt, all orchestra instruments (unless custom made for right hand playing) have right hand bow and left hand finger, i mean you can have one custom made if you want to play an instrument but cant physically play with your left hand but in my almost 9 years of playing i have never seen a right handed violin. Theres also practicality to having only left handed violins as it would be extremely difficult to play in an orchestra with other people when not playing with the left hand. Plus it would be extremely difficult to get a custom made violin (or any orchestra instrument in that matter) that would allow you to play with right hand instead of left due to the shape of the bridge, the placement of the chin rest, the order of the strings, and the placement of the pegs and probably other stuff

Ur chat told u wrong😭 In the game files it explains it basically, Sunny broke his violin so Mari was mad, Sunny went to go get his violin but Mari stood in his way and yelled "Where do you think you're going?!", Then sunny got mad and pushed her, Basil was there to see it all ofc, Sunny goes to check on Mari and so does basil, Basil thinks he couldn't have killed her and thinks she's just sleeping (that's why sunny is smiling in the photo where they drag Mari up the stairs), After waiting a while, sunny realizes she isn't going to wake up so he starts panicking, meanwhile Basil is trying to think of a way to stop his best friend from getting in trouble, so he plans with Sunny to make it look like a suicide, and they do that, only before that, Mari wasn't dead, she was really sleeping(?), after they hang her basil tells him not to look back, and everything will be alright, but he looks back at the last second, This is when he saw her eyes open and realized that she hadn't died, and he intentionally killed his sister this time (Technically), Then a bunch of trauma and stuff, Also what Ranboo said in the first episode was right, his parents are avoiding him, I'm not sure if he got this event, but on one of the letters, if u go in the hole you basically see ur Dad, cutting down the tree she died on while telling you that you're no longer his son, and your Mom is constantly avoiding you which is why she's never in the house, ur Dad hates u for what u did and ur Mum denies it.
