I have literally been to HUNDREDS of concerts and Skillet Rocked them all to second place. If you can get to one of their concerts...GO.
Jen Ledger is an amazing drummer and singer. Very few in the world have ever done both. Phil Collins is the only one who could do it at that level. Drums effect vocals and it's real talent to do both.
Don Henley of the Eagles was another drummer and singer.

There is a song from their latest album called "Valley of Death". It is pretty great.
I have way too many favorite Skillet songs to name them all but my personal favorite song of theirs is You Are My Hope off of their Alien Youth album.
I have been listening to skillet for 5 years now, and this is by far my favorite band. you can choose any song they have and i can almost guarantee that you would love it. A few of my favorites being Monster, Hero, Awake and Alive, Salvation, Collide, Savior, Whispers in the Dark, Rebirthing, Victorious, Rise, Undefeated, The Resistance, and Not going to die. Honestly, you would love all of the Skillet songs. I wish you to do them all if you can and have the time to do so.
Their best song is probably Rebirthing. They do a live acoustic version which helps you appreciate the singing of the drummer.

It's hard to pick a favorite song from Skillet. Awake & Alive even though I have never struggled with my faith, Comatose, Not Gonna Die, The Resistance, The Last Night, Never Surrender, and Monster are definitely up there.

Yes! Skillet is awesome.
My favorite song by Skillet is Victorious, it helped me at the time I was overcoming my depression. John and Jen’s harmonies in that song with the orchestral backing make the song so freaking epic, and the message is so spot on for anyone who is struggling. I highly suggest Victorious.
Awesome song, I agree! A bit of trivia, John wrote that as a tribute to Chester Bennington of Linkin Park after his death, for anyone who might be struggling.

Favorite song(s) from Skillet: That's hard for me to say. Monster tops the list. Lions, Psycho in my Head. Jen, the drummer, is a very talented lady with an awesome voice.

@Bisscute Biss, here are some other Skillet songs you should check out if you haven't: Whispers in the Dark, Feel Invincible, Hero, Out of Hell, Rebirthing, Rise, Stars, The Resistance. You really can't go wrong with this band. I love the reaction.
Awake and Alive remains my favourite as well, as I dive deeper into their albums. Comatose is my second favourite (but doesn't feature Jen vocals). I think my 3rd favourite song at this point (and is such a good representation of their sound the last decade or so... and needs some reaction love!) is "I Want to Live". Anyway, they have so much good stuff. I was fortunate to hear/meet them a week ago in Vancouver. If you *ever* get the chance, go hear them live.

My favorite Skillet song ... Comatose, it was the song with I meet my best friend, and she died before we could finish the highschool ... I already knew the good combination between metal and violins, I always heard Symphonic Metal but, the lyrics of Comatose with the Violin + Chello Intro ... In addition with the Intro in the video Comatose Comes Alive... Was something that my friend and I loved so much, thanks Biss to remember me the good band that Skillet is

My favorite Skillet song... is probably "Whispers in the dark." A close contender for favorite would be "Monster" which has a message and themes that are more personally relatable for me, but I like the overall sound of "Whispers in the dark" more. "Hero" is also very good. I don't really follow skillet and am not deeply familiar with their discography, but they're talented and all three of the songs I mentioned are quite good.
And one more thing. If you like the sound of the drummer Jen Ledger, she does her own songs. One is “Warrior” and I believe the another is “in your arms”? You should check them out too.
Since you love the drummer Jen Ledger's voice, you should react to some of her songs on her solo album titled Ledger. I think you'll really enjoy it.

I doubt you’ll see this, however if you love violins and good lyrics. One band I can recommend and quite honestly one of the few is Imminence. Infectious, heaven in hiding, heaven shall burn, temptation, mark on my soul is beautiful. If you haven’t reacted to them already that is.

It's not a bad song by Skillet but one I always listen too. if you liked this song then I highly reconmend listening to Feel Inviscible, Out of Hell, Rebirthing, Whispers in the Dark, Not gonna Die, Hero, Sick of It, Legendary, Burnit Down and Pyscho in my Head. They're all really good songs by Skillet, now as for picking a favourite song by them....................................IMPOSSIBLE!, I can't just pick one

While this performance is live, the song itself apart from some specific parts in it is actually just the studio version. You can tell by how Jen's (the drummer) voice is still heard even after pulling away from the mike and how her voice is doubled up. It's still a good performance and a good song don't get me wrong, and Skillet can sing and perform well live, just that we're not hearing a 100% live version of this song here.
That aside I love Skillet, with one of my all time favorite songs by them being Whispers in the Dark from the album Comatose.

Their later live performances of this are tuned down a half step or a full one, which makes sense, people's voices do that, but I think this one has at least a "sweetener" track of the studio vocals, which also happens a lot (Bon Jovi does that all the time), but the later ones don't.
I think the studio version is playing over the video. Not really into Skillet that much, but Jen Ledger is really talented.

Pretty sure at least the vocals are. The harmony sounds like Jen with herself, not Jen with the rhythm guitarist.
