For space launch system to survive it's going to have to copy an awful lot of what SpaceX has done. It already is a dinosaur compared to SpaceX. And this is an example of how Innovation results in a significant advance in a field. Henry Ford started an automobile assembly line which was quickly followed by several other American Car companies. The competitors to Ford had to make an assembly line and had to make it as close to as efficient and as Ford's or they couldn't survive as a company. The Germans didn't really produce a car for the people until the Volkswagen in the 1930s almost 40 years after Henry Ford's first assembly line. Toyota came and copied everything after World War II to produce the Toyota Automobile but they made significant improvements in quality. Copying is how engineering and technology works. Somebody has the original idea and somebody else copies it and makes it a little bit of improvement and technology advances. In a few weeks Blue Origin will launch a reusable rocket. To compete with SpaceX they will have to be as cost-effective or more cost-effective than SpaceX. The European Space Agency has put out requests for proposals for a reusable rocket. Government has a role including requiring safety and environmental standards but the government when the government mandates the building of a rocket you have something like the space launch system or the failed attempts in China. The US will eventually take all the money we wasted on space launch system and divert that to the competitive private sector where we can get hundreds of launches into space versus 4 or 5 or 6. While things look very confusing right now, like what happened with automobile assembly line everybody will be copying what is happening here in the United States trying to catch up. Just 20 years ago the most efficient rocket engine in the world was produced by Russia but now look at that Russian engine compared to what's happening now. The government system in Russia did not allow them to innovate and improve and our system has left them in the dust. Have some faith. The inefficiencies in our space business will shake it out and we will be left with a highly efficient space space industry with competition forcing Innovations and changes.
If countries can see that another country has created or improved a product that may have high returns well, of course they want a piece of the action. That is the way the world works. If someone in the passed had not stolen the means to make black powder from the Chinese, maybe there would be less wars.
Wow! A whole $14 million! Really? Tower 'appears' to made of steel bars! Who would have thought such a thing was possible? Surely we would expect them to use bamboo, wouldn't we? Who writes these nonsense scripts?
Firstly. Chinese are really getting desparate trying to copy something that is still being actively designed and modified and iterated on a daily basis. Which is why one should not worry about it- if they try to copy a week-ago design they are already behind even if they copied everything to the last screw Speaking of which, what really makes this rocket fly are the engines, which I'd imagine would be tough to copy, but the shape is the simplest, cheapest shape for this type of rocket so they could try to replicate if from photos, except it won't fly, and the tech to make it land- that's another level... but models of a rocket- they can make as many as they wish..
Chinese private companies are very good at cheating government’s or venture capital company’s funding and then put a big chunk of it into the owner’s pockets, then disappears 😂 the only skill they need is to have somebody make some PS videos like the one this video showed about their version of catch rocket from midair, and it worked! Didn’t they get 100 million RMB from VC already?😂
I'm a big fan of SpaceX. SpaceX First. But to give leeway to other companies, every single rocket will have strong resemblance to SpaceX, because they are rockets, even with tower, currently proven it is an Awesome idea, why others should waste time on something ales, it is as asking everybody to stop using wheals because You are not first. China will never copy Raptor engine, and this is a real work horse of SpaceX success plus everything around it. This is complicated. Tower is simple, controlling the tower?, China will always be behind :) Engineers are pushed to work. SpaceX is pure passion :)
Wasn't engine troubles that caused that hard landing. It was an altimeter problem. Rocket thought it was on the ground so shut the engine down. The exact reason? Who knows, but IMO, if you look at it's altitude when the engines cut, it was about 5m in the air. Then, look at the height of the launch mount... See where I'm going? When it launched, the rocket thought it was launching from an altitude value of Zero. When instead it should have thought it was launching at an altitude value of +5meters. So when it came down to the landing zone, once it stopped and hovered at a height of +5meters, it actually believed it was at an altitude value of Zero, so it shut the engines off, and THEN corrected it's altitude value miscalculation by smashing down to a value of -5meters.
Yeah, but would you want to trust it? Perhaps my largest issue with Chinese products is quality control! You can get 2 of the same item at the same time and 1 might be great, and the next useless garbage! Of course that can be true on anything , but they seemingly have made it a standard I don't think this is much of a risk to spacex, and I don.t think it will affect much! I'd worry more on an expansion of it getting used for weapons! So I hope someones watching close!
For success, it's beneficial to also recruit top engineers from around the world, similar to SpaceX's approach. Due to geopolitical tensions, particularly between the U.S. and China, SpaceX has had the advantage of operating within an ecosystem that encourages private-public collaboration in the aerospace sector.
The Chinese company will be successful as far as they can buy or steal engineering secrets from SpaceX. How do you think they got as far as they have in a short time?
what have they achieved other than getting a huge pile of money? all i see is some renderings of what they might do, but they havent shown any actual Hardware yet.. not saying that they couldnt get far, but the pile of money could also just disappear somewhere...

Excellent job of pronunciation . Bravo.
Firstly. Chinese are really getting desparate trying to copy something that is still being actively designed and modified and iterated on a daily basis. Which is why one should not worry about it- if they try to copy a week-ago design they are already behind even if they copied everything to the last screw
Speaking of which, what really makes this rocket fly are the engines, which I'd imagine would be tough to copy, but the shape is the simplest, cheapest shape for this type of rocket so they could try to replicate if from photos, except it won't fly, and the tech to make it land- that's another level... but models of a rocket- they can make as many as they wish..
How many 12yo Chinese kids does it take to catch a falling 100,000kg knife?
what does this mean?
Chinese private companies are very good at cheating government’s or venture capital company’s funding and then put a big chunk of it into the owner’s pockets, then disappears 😂 the only skill they need is to have somebody make some PS videos like the one this video showed about their version of catch rocket from midair, and it worked! Didn’t they get 100 million RMB from VC already?😂
Instead of the Panda, China should be known symbolically as the " Copycat "😂
So should stinky BO with Jeff BOZO
Hey, that was not bad! With a Mechazille, the rocket hover secounds to catch.
China has 700,000 men working on it. Don't underestimate the overwhelming commitment of resources and manpower.
Space X hides his most deep secrets very well 😊
Great kevin, Script
Yeah, but would you want to trust it? Perhaps my largest issue with Chinese products is quality control! You can get 2 of the same item at the same time and 1 might be great, and the next useless garbage! Of course that can be true on anything , but they seemingly have made it a standard I don't think this is much of a risk to spacex, and I don.t think it will affect much! I'd worry more on an expansion of it getting used for weapons! So I hope someones watching close!
Sure, I will copy iPhone in my garden
For success, it's beneficial to also recruit top engineers from around the world, similar to SpaceX's approach. Due to geopolitical tensions, particularly between the U.S. and China, SpaceX has had the advantage of operating within an ecosystem that encourages private-public collaboration in the aerospace sector.
They will never beat SpaceX
Already ha ha
why can't they come up with their own Ideas
Yeah
Simply because they can't. And they will never be capable of coming up with original ideas
@@apsdev3248 Yes
Copy doesn’t work
If anyone can catch a rocket with chopsticks it'll be the Chinese
Ok i get the joke but America already did that.
I beg to differ - Mr. Miyagi was Japanese!!. :)
Sound like we are about to see an increase in Chinese espionage
They are going to put a lot of money in circulation
Although I watched the Booster landing over & over....It still makes me nervous because how large it is. 👀
Cold war was russia usa, now is chyna usa lol
id bet they have people working within spacex
Probably because the SpaceX workforce is not exclusively American
Bro, your title description are absurd sometimes.
Copying is something to be ashamed of, but it works.
You know what the difference is between Chinese and Japanese? Both copy but the Japanese take the extra effort to improve what they copied while the Chinese love to cut corners.
Great script Kevin
