As someone who has suffered from this and treated it time and time again on my self, my number one advise would be… to be very mindful of your diet and what you are consuming this is key 🔑 start a elimination diet, go to the bare basics for one month, strictly “whole foods” nothing processed or manufactured or added. So basically if you cannot eat it in it’s natural form (how it is grown naturally from the earth) then do not consume it. Cooking is okay i.e meat, fish, vegetables.
After one month on this strict diet you will see radical healing of your symptoms. If you can stick to this diet then great if not you start to re-introduce your tasty must have foods and then see if they trigger the symptoms to come back.
Key number 2 - hydration, some say the body is made up of upto +90% water so stay hydrated people!! This will allow the skin to be more moist and allow your bodily functions (organs) to do their job (detoxing) and maintain a good harmony (balance) with in the body. Please seek professional medical advice on how much water you should consume on a daily basis. It’s Pretty easy to Google and look at different sources of advice too. Also a good tip “drink the best water” that you have access too. Not all waters are made equally lol, but being correctly hydrated on any water is better than being dehydrated.
Key number 3 - stress management as we all know the stressful periods in our lives are when we get the worst symptoms, it’s best to incorporate daily rituals in order to manage your stress levels more effectively, things to do : activities you love doing. Meditation , yoga , listening to music that calms you. Being in nature, listening to nature, handling the cause of the stress so it’s more manageable later on in life. Remove people and situations from your life which are causing stress.
Learning to navigate through life’s stresses is a whole topic within its self. There are Loads of helpful videos on UA-cam to cover this subject.
Last but not least, please remember that you and you alone are responsible for your healing journey, please please please do the research watch the videos and take the steps to trying what ever it takes for you to find what works for you. No doctors or family member is going to work as hard as you can work in fixing these issues, it’s time to take back our universal given powder and make a change.
Remember that’s there’s a life out there where you can mange if not “eliminate” these symptoms all together. if your are willing to make the sacrifices in order to live a better day to day life.
Also everybody is different you have to find what combination on methods work for you and don’t give up, you’re more powerful than you could ever know.

      @aviendha1154 5 місяців тому +1

@@Cheerlifewella only if you only have dietary eczema, which is rare. Most people who suffer from the condition have at least 2 types of eczema. If you didn’t grow out of it after puberty, chances are pretty high you’ll likely always struggle with it. Dietary eczema is the least common form of eczema, so by all means, try a few elimination diets, but remember that they’re tests, not treatments or cures.

Aveeno has a good cream it’s just labeled eczema therapy and it helps. I also make a mixture of antibiotic ointment, hydrocortisone cream, and other lotions for when I have bad flare ups. When your skin is burning nothing helps like hydrocortisone. I also suggest bandaids for flare ups, when I visit states that are drier it can sometimes get infected so I put on my cream and slap a bandaid on it. IF IT GETS INFECTED APPLY LOTION AND ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT AND COVER IT WITH WATERPROOF BANDAIDS. You’ll know if it gets infected because it will spread like CRAZY and it might have pockets of pus under the skin.

I have it on my legs, arms, neck, on my chin and around my lips, and even on my chest area😭😭😭. I have had it for almost 3 yrs now. And at the beginning of last year started taking to seriously and am trying to get rid of it. My eczema, truly nothing has really worked that well. It gets a bit better, and then after a week it goes back to being really dry, and inflamed, and hyper-pigmented. the only things that slightly lightened it was this cetomacgrogal creams that i put on CONSTANTLY (I still do to this day). My eczema was still rough and dry, but it helped it to get less dry, and ig more soft. But anyways. My eczema stayed that way for like 3 whole months. no ointment, cream, or steroids really helped to "cure" it. But not too long ago. I stumbled upon a small tub of petroleum jelly. And istg it's feels like a literal blessing form the gods them self. I still have eczema obviously. but let me tell you it has gotten WAY better. After using it for only like a week, I already saw a difference. I just apply a generous coat over the patches of eczema. And go about my day like normal. Not in public of course. but at home. Even while im writing this I have some all over my body💀🤣. Hopeful that my eczema will be cleared by the end of this year. pray for me!!
    Hope this helps someone (:

I have atopic eczema for around 3 years now. It's really itchy mostly at night so it keeps me awake. I went from doctor to doctor to doctor. Most of them gave me almost same products, but my eczema still appeares. But now, my current doctor's advices really help me and the red spots turn into the color of my skin and it's dissapearing. It leaves brown spots but more important that it's not red. It didn't dissapear like for ever, I still have it there I just need to take a good care of my skin so it won't be too dry for the spots to appear again. It's a bit painful at the start seing yourself covered with red spots, you feel a bit insecure. But I learned to love myself and I told myself that if I wanna love myself, I have to take care of myself too so I am taking a good care of my skin, washing it daily, putting creams and using the products my doctor recommended me.

It's like the most intensely scathing critic, but it lives with you 24/7. And every critic has similarities, but hyperfocused on certain things that really riles them up.
Even as something as simple as a temperature change, trying a new shampoo, or the material of your clothes and bed linen can cause a flare.
Moisturizer and cotton are your best friends. And antihistamines like Bendaryl and Claratin will be in the travel case to calm down flares.
Also, find out if you have any allergies. An allergy reaction will have your eczema rise up with indignation.

Food sensitivities/allergies can definitely trigger eczema flareups. But it's not necessarily gluten and dairy for everyone. And not everyone with eczema necessarily has a food allergy/sensitivity. They could be reacting to a non-food item like skin care products, soaps and detergents, dust and pollen and other seasonal allergens, and certain fabrics. But I agree diet plays a huge role because eczema is cause by inflammation and the Western diet is highly inflammatory and deficient in anti-inflammatory nutrients like vitamin D and omega 3 fatty acids.
I have eczema and I'm doing an allergy test next week. Wish me luck, I absolutely refuse to take steroids.

The list is ridiculously long because eczema is that picky on can or will trigger it. She's the original Material Girl.
You can live your life. Just find a way that won't wake the dragon that's mascarading as your skin. It's deeply tied to your allergies and intolerances, and will hold to you like a mafia boss.
Dry air? Use a humidifier or get a large pot of boiling water on the stove top. For food, avoid the allergies or pray to a god. Dust? You don't need to go full-blown, Terminator Mr. Clean, but if you open skin, it will annoy the shit out of it since it's tiny particulates homes into cuts with unfailing accuracy. (I have yet to open a bandage and NOT see a pieces of lint along the edges.) You like scents and perfume? Spray it on the top layer of your outfit. Candles are nice touch as well. Yes, you can take your showers and wash your clothes. It's just that a lot of products have formulas with certain chemicals that eczema is locked in a die-hard war. It hates sodium lauryl sulfate with the passion of ten thousand suns, and will absolutely commit to scorched-earth tactics to get it off. Additional synthetic fragrance is other thing it will shank with a rusted fork.
It will be a lot of trial and error, but it's definitely manageable. If not, fingers crossed the steroids and injections will help the raging beast.

Hey there! I’m 15 and I’m using hydrocortisone steroid cream and Vaseline for my skin, but it still seems to weep, is that ok? Is there any suggestions I could receive? Thank you.🙏

Do an allergy test. Eczema is caused by inflammation and allergies. Cut what triggers your skin to flareup (food or skincare products or fabric) out and your skin will heal.

Triamcnolon acetonide ointment usp 0.01 % is the best I’ve used it got my excema gone after lightly applying it for like 3 days max but it might come back if you don’t keep on using it.

Do you have any tips against steam from the shower? I tried daily, 5 minute, lukewarm showers (I can’t shower cold) but it’s still bad for my skin, the only thing that works is taking a shower two times a week (and using a washing cloth daily)
