Saw the film and loved it. Taron Egerton did an excellent portrayal of the life story of Sir Elton John, a rock'n'roll icon, and the idol of millions of fans. Taron is an amazing singer in his own right,as and the songs were a great bonus.
I saw the film last weekend at a special preview screening. It is, for a HUGE Elton fan like me, a film way too long in coming. He and Bernie's story is epic, it needed this type of treatment - and I think it turned out beautifully. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did. The audience in the theater all applauded after, but it was a pretty friendly house, most everyone being older and already huge fans. If nothing else, new generations will see what it was like in 1975 when Elton was at the pinnacle of success like none before him, save for maybe Elvis. No spoilers here, but I think any Elton fan is going to like this film, and anyone not familiar with Elton will get a glimpse into what it was like for him and for fans in that era. Wow. As for the sound in this clip going in and out - a lot of videographers and pretty much every filmmaker record sound on a separate device than the video/film and it is processed and synced up later. For whatever reason in this clip not all the sound got synced back up. And some may have been removed to prevent spoilers, too. Just my guesses.
Bill Vincent this is helpful. I’m not particularly an Elton John fan. I liked a few of his songs. But that’s about it. I never followed recording artist or rock bands while living my life. No time or interest in that. I simply listened to their music on my car radio driving to and from my job not knowing who was singing the songs I loved. I’m just now catching up. So the opinion of a real Elton John fan is the must useful. I’m looking forward to this movie.
Bill Vincent. I'm 28. I've been an Elton John fan since I was 6. The first song I heard of his was Bennie And The Jets. I then dabbled more into his music and loved literally every one of his and Bernie's songs. I'm glad they finally made a movie of him especially since he's still living, but I really think they picked the wrong person to play him. He looks and sounds nothing like Elton and for a movie about someone to be believable, those are the two most important factors.
Im 14 (doesn't make a difference but I just wanted to add my view) and I saw it with my mom (and 4 more times) and its an amazing film and I already loved Elton's music since I grew up hearing it but knew nothing about him or his life. I was amazed and I even cried at the credits because of what he does now and im very proud knowing he has been sober for now 29 years and he has a family and im just so proud of him and like you said I really think every fan of him will like this film and will show other people like me who wasnt very familiar with him will see what it was like. (this is 2 months late but its okay that happens)
Taron did a fantastic job in this role. He’s amazing in it. Glad he and Richard Madden became great friends. Very sweet. They both should consider another music type film.
I didn't get to see it in theaters but my mom and I rented it last week and long story short she's mad at me because I've played Elton John songs on loop since then and she's got Tiny Dancer stuck in her head
A: This looks like it’s going for a totally different feel to BoRha, very surreal and fantastical, very cool. B: Is the bald dude at 0:30 just trying to get his bulge noticed? Cuz Elton didn’t notice, but I noticed.
It definitely does. Some of the musical pieces are very over the top or feature fantastical components (people floating in the air). But they actually enhanced my experience when watching it.
Aug i went to see it, it was really good, proper musical, quite surreal, lovely dance routines, beautiful lighting and cinematography, and of course great music We seem to be on a bent of movies like this atm, the Beatles one was great too btw, not as pretty but very emotional, I had a teeny cry in places
Galera br, não assisti esse video todo, só dar o like e assisti um pouquinho, pq se não vc vai perder a magia do filme. Quando vc assistir ao filme daí volta aq e termina de ver. ;)
@@yk2098 cool I just thought it would be cool if in the last scene you see a script titled " king of the jungle" ( the movies original title ) in the background
It looks like it's going to be similar in feel to "Jersey Boys" or "The Blues Brothers". I REALLY wish they would have used Elton's voice or at least a soundalike as like in BoRhap.
the general feeling seems to be yes, but I doubt very much it will match BR's commercial success; there's still a lot of homophobia and Elton is not considered as cool as his friend Freddie
I love the movie, have watched it several times. Heather was not the tiny dancer, Maxine was! A very white, blonde chick. Heather is like Bernies 3rd wife, and is not black
The underwater bit sends shivers down my spine, it's really hard to watch actually. But brilliantly done
It sends shiver down your spine
Body's aching all the time
I think (YES MY OPINION) that the kid deserves more credit he played a good role
Keira littlewood I agree. he was great!
now he s nick nelson XD
Agreed, and I wish his verse of "Rocket Man" was in the official soundtrack
I'm actually so desperate to watch the film again so I'm re-watching any clips I can find! Amazing film
You should!! Im watching it again this friday, and it seems like i wont be spending for a long, long while, but ita worth it!!
Same here 😂😂😂
Me too!
Lisa Elissa ditto
I saw it 3 times and I can never forgot what if felt like seeing it for the first time. It felt like I was being transported to another world!

James Edey shit hasn’t even come out yet. How u finna say u saw it. It come out on May 31 u dumbass. U got exposed
@@stay4sho804 Erm it's already out in the UK
@@stay4sho804 oh americans, very smart
wasn't a fan till i saw the film. now i can't get enough
God that underwater bit is insane. Must've been very uncomfortable for Taron to film.
Juliette Reacts - he has done it in the kingsman movie where he could have actually drowned, so him takin a swim doesnt seem so bad.
Bro he was literally nude in a scene I think he’s ok
Emily Thompson 💀 him being naked has nothing to do with him being underwater for a good amount of time
Time stamp
Taron and Elton's friendship is everything
❤
I had a "Rocketman" ad to this video :)
Rare

Unpopular opinion: Taron should've won the Oscar after Make did
those underwater scenes gave me anxiety

I can’t wait to see Rocketman this weekend. Watching this video drove me crazy with the sound in and out.
saw this yesterday, bloody hell what a movie!
13:50 that is so cute ! That's how real friendship should look like
I thought they did a beautiful job with this movie! I really loved it!
my only regret is not seeing this in the cinema
Ugh, me too, I wish I could have seen it in theaters
The underwater takes are terrifying 😭
Beautiful movie... great seeing what he thinks of it all
this gives quite an insight into the movie!
I have a good feeling about this movie

Manic 🏳️🌈 I hate that I missed it in the theater. I bought it and I’ve watched it about 10 times now.
Nasceu mais do que parceria, amizade! Lindo de ver.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I really hope those were mannequins or something in the swing ride, because that would suck to be on that for however long it took to film.
Most likely yes, if it were real people it would be considered an unnecessary liability.
Saw it today, amazing! I want to see it again! 😭
I’d be so nervous and scared about meeting Elton and telling him how the movie will go.
Taron Egerton, com certeza será um dos próximos contratados dos estúdios da Marvel!
Is he in his early 70’s? Aww he’s so cute.
Why can’t we hear the exchanges between Taron and Elton ?
Yeah I noticed that too. Maybe they're spoilers or copyright issues??
It wasn’t just then for me it was on and off all video

Yes, it shows up amazingly!
Can't wait to see the movie!
steff its excellent! If you liked Bohemian Rhapsody, you are going to love Rocketman! I dare to say Rocketman is better than BR.
Camera operators are fucking amazing!! 😎😎
MY IDOLE I LOVE YOU FOREVER ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Incredible.❤️
Went to see it yeaterday
Tom Ebbs was there a scene with Freddie Mercury!?
Wow this seems so cold and dry the way they talk about the making of the story
Am thinking if they can make part 2 of rocket man with me as older Elton John

Will the lion king get referenced in the movie?

No. I watched the movie. I think the story ends sometime in 80s.

Why is David there? SMH 🙄
Because he is the producer of the film.
Le copiaron a bohemia rapsody
Being a fan of Elton in the early 70ies and after all the trailers I saw in these days I decided not to see this movie, it sounds too fake to me.
A&V PROJECT you’re missing a on one helluva movie!,
