Yf23 can modify to fly at 3-4 thousand miles per hours it can be use to intercept missile and target fast.

@@SSpider41 better how? speed maybe a bit more stealthy? thats about it. the f22 was far more maneuverable with the thrust vectoring. It was CLEAR the 22 was a better aircraft in the flyoff. I remember digging into them both during the competition

Northrop kept the numbers secret but the 23 did go though supersonic testing. I may not recall correctly but, I think the test pilot that flew both the 22 + 23 said the 23 was already faster because of the long narrow body.
Wouldn't you know, years later, a commenter in a video like this had a 'friend that worked at Northrop' and they often discussed aviation and one day he said "I can't say much, but it's still out there". Did the 23 become the father of an NGAD program, a drone, some unknown black program? Maybe it was just too good to let it die?
