Dang, Bruce's quote shows that he do know his stuff like a coach.
And the thing is he's talented and athletic enough to apply what he knows.
I gotta read his books.
I remember in his sparring video, he also uses distance control like Shakur, the footwork is similarly smooth.
And dood got tactical feints, great balance, speed and power, i think he's legit studied it on scientific level.

Good video mate. I have followed Shakur for a very long time. Defensively, he is a generational talent. I would like to see him take more risk offensively at times. But overall, he is going to be tough to beat.

Shakur appears to have the mindset that he is always a student on the way to becoming a master of the craft. It's tuff to beat a cat with that mentality on any day, let alone Fight Night!!!

to me hes the best in the 130 to 140 no one wants to fight him !! the kid is a master lefty knows how to use all his advantages mix with a combination of great boxing power speed and counter punching I consider him a boxers nightmare look at all his fights watch how he frustrates his opponents and they cant keep with him they end up tripping on his feet and he exploites its and goes in for the kill ,, my money is on him vs anyone

@@magisage2276 Well Shakur absolutely don't take any chances, So of course Shakur look sharper then Devin Haney, Remember Devin was the Same exact fighter Shakur was 2yrs ago, Very defensive and never exchange only counter punch, Now since Devin been listening to the fans, Devin is more willing to exchange which I think is a mistake but hes more exciting to watch in the ring.
It’s not about taking chances shakur is just a lil bit more skilled then devin watch them both very close you will see shakur is a lil bit better then devin offensively and defensively

@@monroethegreat7539 uhh, have you seen Haney take chances? The only time he's ever taken a chance he nearly got KO'd by old man Linares. Shakur is ten times better than Haney. He's the real deal, Haney gets hit way to often to try and fight the way he does vs elite comp

Neither Haney nor Stevenson are great counter punchers. Stevenson is still learning his how and when to punch at the right distance.
Shakur Stevenson he's more skills full Oscar don't lie yourself u nver beat Stevenson
Oscar got a lucky punchers chance and not much else
Shakur has a basic style, his only form of defense is just stepping back, His power and work rate is average and that's me being nice, we also don't know the quality of his chin since he hasn't fought any champs, he just fought for a title against Joet Gonzalez who just had a great war against Navarrete who does have power, his style reminds me like a watered down Devin Haney.
Can't tell if you're trolling or you actually believe this! lol If you watched the video you will have seen he does other defensive movements e.g. shoulder roll, pivoting. great champions of the past like Mayweather and Pernell Whitaker used these techniques all the time, including the half step back before countering... Did that make them average when they were coming up through the ranks? The one point I agree is the he hasn't fought anyone at highest level yet. But either has a lot of the young guys coming up like Haney.

@@duk3335 stepping back is the the best form of defense, I didn't say it in an offensive way, you can't get hit if you aren't in range. But he doesn't look anywhere near as impressive as say Devin Haney, Gervonta, and the rest
