4:50 You are kinda wrong here. You ALSO have to check if the books have the keyword you have searched for in the title or the subtitle. If they do not have it, then it's only a matching result to the keyword, but the book can be from a more broader niche. For example it could be a mermaid cb or a unicorn cb, but it may not be a mermaids AND unicorns cb.
Thanks Jeff, I have been using lottery auto ads with lots of books into keep costs down in 2/3 markets places. I keep costs down by only spending a dollar or so per day. My books are aren't priced high enough to make a profit with the ACOS around 50-60%. I regular add negative keywords and products to not spend unnecessarily. I use different targeting groups, but only really leave Close match and Substitutes on as there are only just a few impressions with the others. I'd rather be shown for Close matching keywords, I know I probably need to increase my daily spend to see more sales so will do this and monitor it. I have tried manual ads but went back to auto lottery ones.
I usually try to kept my acos below 40% and ideally under 30%. I end up turning off a lot of ads and tweak bids constantly to try and drive acos down. If you can get your title and subtitle optimized with high demand/low competition keywords, it can help in getting your acos to a level you’re comfortable with.
Yo Jeff. Your daily budget $5.00 + With no end date. That's interesting. Feeling nervous as this will be my first time to use Amazon Ads. Q: When do you put a stop? Will hold my launch campaign until I hear from you.
unfortunately I cannot do ads in New Zealand because it only allows to run ads if you live in the amazon selected countries. The closest to me is Australia but I don't live there. I would love to be able to run ads however I still find it interesting to watch other peoples success stories doing it. Thanks for your videos, keep up with the great work :)
Don’t worry if you can’t run ads. As long as the title/subtitle and 7 keyword boxes are optimized, you will still have a great chance at getting your book to rank for different keywords. Ads just allow the process to be a little faster but doesn’t necessarily mean long term success.
@@JeffSetLife I am still learning how to optimize tile/subtitle and the 7 keyword boxes. I am just doing a lot of trial and error. I have watched videos on niche research and how important it is for keywords, but again, I am still learning how to do this. if a book sells, great, if not then try again :)
Hello Jeff, what's the procedure to edit or delete an ADS that is not performing? I got value for this video. Please respond to the above question to help me. Many thanks
I use overall ad spend. Depending on the price of your books, your ACOS will differ, but for me, when my overall add spend on a book doesn’t receive any sales and goes over $2.00 I turn it off.
There’s a number of different ways to run ads. I personally like to keep mine on but I’ve also experimented with running ads for a few weeks at higher bids and then eventually turning them off when my book establishes a consistent BSR.

If that works for you that’s great!

Hi Jeff, Manual campaigne please! And what can you say about Kdp select and its effect on sales?
Got it! Will do! As for KDP Select, I personally haven’t seen any effect on sales for me, but then again I haven’t really focused on ebooks as of yet.

If it reaches $2 with no sales. I keep every campaign that has made a sale running and adjust accordingly to keep the acos below 30%.
