We got some past consequences with Nia still under the influence of shadow.. wonder if this is hinting towards it lives like ending? We already know Light consumes a part of the user's life. the question is how much life does Nia have in stock..
also i wonder, if the entire shadow realm is uniting under the command of ash empress will we have to do the same for the light realm?? like unite all humans, elves and orcs under MC's and the squad's command and march to a singular war.. kinda like how the ancient elves stopped the dreadlord.
also we still don't know anything about the creature in valax's nightmares and why she was so afraid of it..
with 6 chapters in i just hope this book has a proper conclusion and actual consequences and not just some dumb plot armor or scenes which reject the entirety of a characters development.

So you're telling me that after wiping out the Shadow Court in the last book we didn't check for survivors?
That's interdimensional fighting 101: If you're going to the enemy, WIPE THEM OUT to ensure there's nothing left.
Nia still having Shadow influence under stress is interesting. Adds another layer to her character. Maybe she can do Light *&* Shadow magic. Certainly, makes her a force to be reckoned with.
Goblins: I'm not sure I trust them, yet. We've been burned by seemingly innocent/helpful characters before (Nathan, Aerin, Selene/Persephone)

Personally I enjoyed this chapter...it had everything...and that scene in which nia was changing into the shadow realm version was not shocking for me because I saw an post of pixellberry...like they are just spoiling the chapter a day before chapter releasing....and if this book has it lived type of ending then i am damn excited for upcoming chapter and to play this even more

Why call them Goblins? Why not call them Nymphs? they are a bunch of beautiful humanoid nature creatures. so why not?
