You should be able to run it off of a 100 watt panel through a mc4 to whatever barrel plug is on the unit where it says solar next to the 12/24-volt plug, but that may only work with the attachable battery. It will charge the battery while it is connected to the fridge and running. I do not think I have seen any reviews showing it working just off of a solar panel without the battery.

We recently actually purchased the one zone version model CR22, 23 Quart Portable Freezer Compressor Cooler 12/24V DC 110~240 Volt AC fridge/freezer. We used it on a recent trip in both 12v DC and 110v AC modes and it worked flawlessly keeping our freezer stuff below 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

That’s pretty slick. Could have used something like that last night. Went to a graduation and also had to deliver cup cakes afterwards. We had to throw a bunch of ice packs around the cupcakes to keep them cool. This would have taken care of that no problem! Thanks for sharing!

I have a question, I turned mines on and it started making some noises for about 15-20 minutes and then it subsided. Did yours do the same thing?
It makes noise when the refrigerator pump turns on.

Could you do an episode on what to do with excess power? I live in a cloudy area, and have a lot of panels- but when it’s sunny, I have lots of excess electricity. Interesting what the community would come up with
I would love to, but I'm not set up for that yet; one day, I will be. I've thought of a hot water tank energy dump or a grid tie with a limiter not to pass my meter to the grid, just the house. There are so many ideas.
