    *A quiet **Generater.Systems** , love the dual fuel capabilities, camper is 50 amp but the adapter helps and found it still handles the load. Haven't taken a camping trip yet, that's in a couple of weeks. Will see how well it does over a long weekend.*

    I bought a bougeRV 50 liter fridge last year and it works great. I plug it in at home and fill it the day before we leave to go camping once at the campground I plug it into my bluetti ac50s and it works perfect for 48 hours without charging my bluetti. It holds all the food and beverage we need for 2 people for a weekend and you don't need anymore than a 500 wh power source for the whole weekend

    Looks & works as well as my dometic 40cc i got 3 years ago. It was $345 three years ago, but are a small fortune now. I'd get this in a heartbeat now if i had to choose today. I used to keep mine in the galley of my teardrop, but it always ran due to NO AIR CIRCULATION back there. I keep it in my vehicle now with the windows cracked open & in the shade. It runs WAY LESS in the truck. I've heard a diy reflective cover will help these alot in summer time, gonna make one for mine. Thanks for your honest opinion . I enjoy your content. Cheers from California 🍺

    Love the voltage cutoff feature, that was my first concern with the 12v power. I've been wanting a cooler like this for a while if for no other reason than to speed up departure, being able to pack food the night before would save a lot of time the morning before we leave for a trip.

    That Was Our First Time With You & It Was Great, as is The Fridge / Freezer, & All The Features Like The Lid, Wheels, Blue Tooth & Just So Much For The Price, & If You Put Some Velcro On The Bottom It Might Not Slide, & The Same With The Cutting Board & Use A Cup Holder with Velcro On The Bottom Of It & That Would Probably Work For You or A Large Probably plastic Cup

    If you make those indents on the lid deeper you remove insulation space. so a trade off, deep indents and heat sinks or minimal indents and insulation.

    My Bodaga 48 quart looks exactly like this to the Tee. I paid $466.51 that was tax and everything. Don't know if that's a good price or not. The chopping board housed inside is meant to be used on the top where you thought it could be deeper. I take it camping because I didn't want to deal with Ice and food getting soggy. It's wonderful! Also love the feature of the phone app to set the temps it makes it a breeze to set everything.

    Wow been watching you guys since you had your maiden voyage, so pleased you got a fridge. Over here on the other side of the pacific we have marvelled how resilient the US camping community heads off into the unknown without a fridge! Our heat over here makes it a full on first world problem if we want to camp longer that’s a weekend…ice length.😊 just note the internal lights. Our latest fridge doesn’t turn these off when we close the lid, and it will slow chew the camper battery, something to check on if yours does the same.

    Hello! New sub here! I just came across your channel while looking for a new portable refrigerator. I had an Alpicool C20 but after 15 months it died. I’ve been in contact with the company’s and they have been great. I have sent it back for a full refund.
    Anyhow, I’m watching your video here and was wondering g if you could tell me how many watts this unit pulls on eco low.
    I ran the AlpicoolC20 on eco low on my Jackery 500 and it pulled no more than 42 watts in the warmest temps.
    Can you tell me how many watts it Pullson. Portable power supply? Thanks!

    Just getting to use my CR45. When I have my freezer set to 0F, the larger section consistently reads about 6-7F lower than the set point of 39F. Is that typical of others' experiences?

    • @BougeRV
      @BougeRV 2 роки тому

      Thank you for your purchase!
      First of all, what you need to understand is the refrigeration principle of the refrigerator:
      1. The two boxes are not refrigerated at the same time
      2. After setting the temperature, refrigerate for 10 minutes on one side, then switch to the other side to refrigerate for 10 minutes. Then repeat the cycle switching work. (usually the small box is refrigerated first)
      3. When switching the refrigeration compartment, the residual cooling of the original refrigeration pipe will cause the temperature of the box to continue to drop.
      4. The residual cold can be absorbed by placing the load to reduce the temperature difference.
      For example: if you set 41°F on both sides, the small box will be refrigerated first, and then it must reach 41°F first and stop working. But the big box hasn't reached 41°F, maybe around 50°F, and continue to cool. At this time, the small box continued to cool down because of the residual cold.
      How to reduce the temperature difference?
      You can put a mineral water in two boxes, the same test temperature, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
      Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

    I may have missed it in the comments below, but I noticed you didn't do a test with this frig outdoors and possibly even in rain or weather. I have the CR45 on order with the 1100w power generator but I was curious. How well does it take working outside. Sometimes it may get caught in the rain on a camping trip. Super informative video. Thank you for that.

    • @equallywrong
      @equallywrong 2 роки тому

      It's not waterproof or nor water resistant. The display can collect condensation and short out or degrade permanently. As far as outdoor cooling, imo, it will perform like any other portable compressor fridge. In direct summer sunlight, it will run more frequently using much more battery power, nearly 90% duty cycle. In the winter direct sunlight (30F or below), maybe the duty cycle was 30%. In the winter after the sun set, the compressor turned on maybe once every hour and fifteen minutes. During hot summer night, the compressor turned on every 10 minutes or so. If using the fridge/freeze feature, the fridge side has a hard time maintaining (and getting to) the target temperature for the fridge side, thus the compressor will run more trying to get to the set temperature. I have not found a way to compensate for this, but settled on having the freezer side temperature set lower and as a result the fridge side can reach the target temp. Yes, I am using more power, but my drinks reach the coldness I prefer.

    Very nice unit and demo. Just one question, why would you need a freezer to operate at 0 degrees fahrenheit when water freezes at 32 degrees fahrenheit? Seems like a waste of energy and stress on the unit. Also being that the fridge is a dark color means your not going to keep it outside, a least not in direct sunlight.

    I just purchased this in a bundle so I have the battery and insulated cover. I love it...except...I cannot get the smaller side to change the temperature! I'm doing exactly what the limited directions say and followed what you did. Nothing. By the time I try to hit setting when the larger side is blinking (directions state), it has already gone back to the larger side! I bought the 48 Quart version as it fits celery bundles vertically perfectly. I juice celery every morning to slowly cure an Epstein Bar virus issue that has plagued me for years and anti-biotics don't touch it. My biggest complaint is a handle pin and spring have come off, the handle is still useable, but I am careful with it to make sure the handle closes properly. Customer Service has sent me a new handle, but no instructions on how to remove the old handle and base and how t glue the new one in place. We take it with us camping and install it in a large brown yard storage bin for the summer to keep it out of the weather, with plenty of ventilation to make sure it operates without overheating. So far we love it if I can just get my handle replaced. Be careful with the handle, the pivoting pins come out very easily and then the spring will fly away on you! -David Knapp PS - I just ordered the Li-on battery and they stated they will be shipping them starting in February. Thanks to you I know about the battery compartment, I was asking for one all along, LOL. Now I can do my Ham Radio activations called Parks On The Air (POTA) and can bring my lunch and snacks with me while I am setting up and operating my radios at the picnic table since some of the 4000 locations are just WMA (Wild Life Management Areas) without the ability to camp there, perfect for portable technology if you can drive to the location. Cheers!

    Don't know much about this but it looks great to me. The only things I'd add old be telescoping handles that would help to pull it on the ground, as I have a bad backend would be hard to carry it when fully packed. Possibly raise /lower back wheels to facilitate pulling. Also add pegs or some other type platform to raise lower the opposite end of wheels to keep the unit level when sitt

I purchased the external battery, it will keep fridge charged without being plugged in anywhere, time varies based on settings used..but read great reviews on how long it lasts. I figured it out, I didn’t have it snapped in properly…takes a long time to charge it fully … I think it was at least 6 hours I had it charging … it’s a good back up charge to have.

    This product has great starting potential. I think it would be important to note the temperature of your workshop and inside your vehicle. Testing this system at warm and cold ambient temperature extremes would give a better idea how well this system can work. Can it hold up to a 100 ° car interior temperature while plugged into your vehicle battery? How long will it function properlyat 100°? Ive made a 12v air cooler that circulated ice water. The length of time it functions at 70° is a lot longer than how long it functions at 95° temps.

    • @BougeRV
      @BougeRV 2 роки тому +1

      Hi there, the maximum working temperature of our refrigerator is 122 ° F, but above 95 ° F, the refrigeration effect will be affected, so it is best to use it under 95 ° F. If the car temperature is too high, you can try to turn on the air conditioning inside the car and keep the refrigerator cooling ventilation, to ensure the effect. Hope this answer will help😊
