I know what you mean about the mice!! When I hiked, I had 50+ crawling up & over my tent near Muskrat Creek shelter all night long, definitely creepy!! Keep Rollin, You're off to a Great Start!
Beauty on the trail, and camaraderie in the hostel.
I hope you’re feeling better.
Onward
You’re an inspiration to all young people. Glad to see that your doing so well on your first through hike. Keep it up.
Your journey is very interesting to me. I have never attempted to hike anything quite so long and arduous, and so I definitely admire the courage of anyone who would try. I have a friend who did this a few years back or so, and he tells me of some great adventures that he had. He is a very professional guitar player, and apparently got some great gigs playing along the way. He keeps wanting to take me, even if it is just to experience a small part of the trail from one spot. Really look forward to seeing more of your journey. Thank you for sharing!
Hey it's Echo Tim. If you haven't already, Get some campo phenique for insect bites
Nice video with some views, so let's keep on hiking..
So fun to see how it is when you are chilling inside a hostel. That singing together is just too darn cool when you are hiking and have moments like that in between the days. This is going to be a core memory for you.
Thanks for the regular videos.
no maybe about it....hike on jess
Awesome job with the video as usual. Praise the LORD JESUS that you are feeling better! :)
Hostel Around the Bend looks really nice. Love all the cats. Have a great weekend!

Nice video!, I would not be able to resist the kitty's!! Can only imagine the pain putting wool leggings on top of your bug bites-ahhaaa!Thanks for taking us along!
The worst part of staying in shelters is when the mice crawl on your face in the middle of the night. The mice are worst in the early parts of the trail because so many hikers are "less experienced" and do things like leave food out that the mice can get to. After the hikers learn to keep food away from the wildlife then the wildlife learns to behave better. The mice in the National Parks are the worst!
I followed a hiker a few years ago that had similar marks on her legs (except she had many more of them) and they were a result of chigger bites. I forget what she did for treatment and I have no personal experience, so can't be of any more help. You might want to check to see if that is the cause. Peace, Love and Kindness.
Feeling better before everyone’s advice was even typed.. That’s the way!
To me, Mice are worst thing in the woods. You should be lucky the mouse didn't chew into your tent or backpack.
