I love incense notes in perfume. My two favourite incense fragrances are S. Lutens's l'Eau Froide and Comme des Garcon's Avignon. That church incense note really stimulates my memory. Thanks for a great presentation, Victoria.
This was lovely, Victoria. I've heard of CDG Zagorsk for a long time, but your description has me very interested in sampling it. I've read your blog for many, many years and it makes me so happy to see your videos pop up in my feed now, too. I have learned a great deal from you. Thank you!
Another lovely video, thank you so much for sharing so much knowledge and passion. Incense is probably my favorite note along with patchouli... and my favorite scent with that note is Nu by YSL.
Love the incense-ginger combo in Gucci Pour Homme, and the resinous variety in Interlude and Amber Absolute. But my favourite of all-time is probably Duchafour's original Jubilation XXV. Just like CdG, the vintage Amouages did incense right.
Victoria, i hope you bring back old videos, we need both worlds which you witnessed, fantasie/romance and reality. I know reality is dark and hard, but it is necessary!
Bought Zagorsk after reading your blog a few years back. somehow, never knew that Zagorsk and Sergiyev Passad are the same town lmao (I am from Chavash Yen, which makes this even more embarrassing). also, maybe it's me, but I detected a hint of rightful shade when u said the word "russian". personally, have always hated how perfume brands love to romanticise russia (Chanel russian Leather, I am looking at u), which is a shitty country (and, there is no such thing as russian leather actually, it's kinda a marketing ploy by French perfume brands riding the emigre wave and exoticism in the 1920s). recently, went to Le Labo in London, because they make all their City Exclusive scents available to purchase from any of their standalone boutiques in the world during the month of September; was lowkey shocked that they still carry their Moscow City exclusive, which is Benjoin 190.

Great video. love frankincense. My favorite church incense (more myrrh dominant) is Heeley Cardinal. More wearable than Avignon but quite similar.
It's such a delight watching your videos or reading your articles....Thank you Victoria!💐🌷
I now understand the charm of Un Jardín sur le Nile....
It is not fresh, but Im enjoying Laboratorio Olfattivo's Vanagloria a lot lately 😍

Thank you so much Victoria! Your videos and blog are pieces of art, give me great joy! I can't thank you enough!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Thank you ✨
Givenchy Gentleman Only is another great one from this family I don't typically like these sorts of fragrances but it is very pleasant

My only incense is in Infusion d'iris from Prada. But I would like to try all the Comme des garçons ones.. is Zagorsk maybe discontinued?
It's still available.
I'm a simple man. SOTD This is Him by Zadig & Voltaire.
👍

What smells like myrrh?
Serge Lutens La Myrrhe is a good example.
