A few weeks back Apple posted a tutorial going through the steps you can take to turn yourself into a Peanuts character. Fellow UA-camr @Trent'sTech was wondering what it would take to take this character to the next level. In this video we go through all the steps to animate your peanuts character on the iPad using Procreate.

As an owner of an Apple Pencil I can agree 🗿
There are tons of good alternatives that come at 1/5 th price and the value they offer is almost the same.
@@noedits5543 yes but number one they usually dont have pressure sensitivity and they dont respect as well as the apple pencils there are tons of more reasons too
I had done too many animated videos last year and uploaded on UA-cam, it feels good watching the same process what I had used for animation. Thanks, this made my day :)

Super helpful run through of simple animation in Procreate-start simple, refine when it works.
I don’t use procreate and had no intention of making a peanuts character but I must applaud you for your clear and thoughtful instruction on this process.
Love it! I've been waiting to get iPadded up for years now, and now that I finally took the plunge with the new iPad Mini, it's amazing how easy it is to do some really cool stuff in Procreate.
I have a *CHALLENGE* for you.
My challenge is that you should make a whole *GooD* piece of art on a *PHONE, WITH A SPONGE STYLUS.* No cheating. You have to do all the sketching in your phone too this time.
Let's see if you can do it. *I really expect to see this video soon..*

I've been struggling to find my style and I think it's going to be your art style mixed with peanuts style in more of a gritty ink/wash look. Your vids and art have been hugely helpful!

I need an iPad Pro, but Huion kamvas 13 is working fine for now. I can use Clip studio paint to do this animation.
You’ll probably find you don’t need an iPad Pro. Just the standard iPad is actually powerful enough! Don’t forget it’s apples marketing machine that makes you think you need the top of the line!
@@awiggan1 yep, i have the Ipad 6, and procreate works fine on them.
@@becartoon4363 Apple make good products, even at the entry level! And let’s face it, the majority of people cannot afford the top tier pros.
@@awiggan1 Indeed, I bought my ipad this year, I was lucky to get this one (it was one of the last on sale and had a big discount) and months later I bought the apple pencil, they are expensive products, but worth it.
Between Clip Studio and Procreate, which of them is easier to do animation?
Clip studios animation tools are far better than procreates
procreate is ez and fun fun compared to clip studio so i would suggest procreate
I like the user friendly system of procreate but still ,the animation tools are just not tge best
Clip studio has many features and once you use it you will understand tge pros of

CSP hands down! No comparison.
There’s a reason pros in Japan have adopted it as the de facto standard for digital animation.

Your character looks a bit like Shermy an actual Peanuts character. He's one of the forgotten background characters.

Does procreate have a limit on how long your animations can be?
Well, the frames are basically layers, so if there are less layers allowed there are less frames allowed. I hope that makes sense

You seem to have the magical ability to hand write on your iPad in a way it can read. It can’t label my layers for crap
Go to the Ipad settings. Then down to the Apple pencil. Turn on "Scribble". You can then use handwrite letters on text areas.
@@inisipisTV No, I can _do_ it. I mean the iPad can’t decipher my chicken scratch into actual words. At least not the ones I want. Thank you for helping, though.
