HIT THE BELL & TELL A FRIEND ABOUT ME
#Queen #TheShowMustGoOn
Freddie was pretty sick at this point. He showed up at the studio, did a shot and recorded it in ONE take!! These lyrics give me chills everytime!! ❤❤❤
This!
Freddie was extremely sick at this point, but he did not do it in one take. Myth.
@@bbbfst I could be wrong but I remember reading an article from an interview with Brian May with that story.
@@bbbfst One take or not it doesn't matter, he. Was. Sick. He was dying. He had pneumonia. And he sang this the way we can hear it now, a dying man sang a song ten thousand times better than most of modern healthy "singers".
@@Invfreund88 Uh, as I said, Freddie was extremely sick at the time. But the myth that he sang this song in one take is just that ... a myth. I don't need you to tell me about the greatness of Freddie, or the circumstances or meaning of this song.
Thank you for doing this song Van! It has a strong personal message for me. I am battling stage IV Cancer and was given a year to live. I am six months into chemo and am not giving up. I am going to prove them wrong! #NeverGiveUp!
I’m with you never give up man!
Wishing nothing but the best for you and sending strength and healing your way.
You've got this!
Keep fighting the good fight my friend.
🌻♥️🙏♥️🌻
That's one of those song you really should know a bit of the history before.
It makes it so much more heart breaking!
It's not just a song, it's so much more...
I laid down the history just now.
"There can only be One" Freddie Mercury Forever! ❤
This is a dreadfully bitter-sweet reaction man - an amazing anthem as you correctly say, yet Freddie was facing his own death at the time of recording. His diagnosis of AIDS was not revealed until the day before he passed away, yet he gave so much of his energy and soul into making his final recordings and appearances. As anyone watching his late videos would realise, he was a shadow of the live performer he had been from the 70s to the mid 90's. As mannipf mentions, he was too ill to shoot any videos anymore, so this is comprised of live and promo videos, outtakes etc that reference the band's amazing history up to this point (I love the way he opens up a door to show the band videos from the past). It's an incredibly motivational song, from an amazing artist who was facing his own mortality from an illness no-one truly understood then. His death affected so many musicians and fans, and prompted increased activism and research into treatment to the point today where the disease can be treated permanently, if not yet cured. He has left an incredible legacy for us all. For that, let along the great music, we owe him a great deal of gratitude. d
Thank you LFR, it's appreciated.
They never performed this live.......Freddie was extremely sick by this point and was too sick to even make a video. That's why it's a collage of other performances and videos
Queen put this song as the last track on the last album released while Freddie Mercury was alive in 1991 called 'Innuendo'... it was recorded while Freddie was on his final days from AIDS and captured the sadness he was experiencing, knowing he was going to die soon 😷 He appeared on the video for the song 'Days of our lives' and he looked thin & frail... that was Freddie's last appearance. They had to use older music videos to make more video singles from 'Innuendo'...
Freddie admirably kept recording vocal tracks in 1991 for a future Queen album which he wanted completed after he passed away... By the fall of 1991, he was too sick to work in the studio and returned home in England, where he passed away in November that year.
Queen finally released their final studio album 'Made in heaven' in 1995.
Days of Our Lives is my favorite song by them.
This song is everything! The lyrics take on a whole new meaning when you realise just how close to the end he was when this song was made. Almost 30 years now since we lost the incredible Freddie. There will never be another like him
FYI. Freddie was so sick he couldn't stand, but he took a shot& did vocals in one take! You would never know it. Total BADASS!! WE STILL LOVE YOU FREDDIE!!!!!!
Freddie was a LEGEND and a trooper for doing this while sick!
Not was a legend IS a legend
@@sharon8015 ABSOLUTELY!!!
@@robertworkman1419 as I've gotten to my middle age I appreciate the music more than I did back then back then we just thought they were just cool songs but man 60s through the 80s we had some badass f****** music.

Freddie was the Master/King of Musical Performers 🥰
Non ci sono parole!!! IMMENSO!!!!!
With all my respect, before reacting to THIS particular song I would recommend all to read about the Queen and Freddy (especially closer to the end) to understand what show they sing about. And start you should with LISTENING to it, not watching the clip (my point). I was a toddler when I heard this song. I didn't speak English, neither did I know about the Queen (obviously). This song sends me to another realm till the very day.
Totally agree with you! Thanks dear. Long live the QUEEN! 👑❤️
Me was about 11 to first listened this song. It was in some talent competition, and she messed it up....(obviously) so I think who singing it in original... Queen fan after....
Great reaction! More Queen, please, so I'll say it again-- White Queen live at Hammersmith 1975. And: Another One Bites the Dust & We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Dragon Attack live in Montreal 1981, Under Pressure & Who Wants to Live Forever live at Wembley 1986, Fat Bottomed Girls live at the Bowl 1982, Bicycle Race & Don't Stop Me Now (Queen Official), Love of My Life Rock in Rio 1985. Live Aid. 1985.
Hello my dear friend, Kerry! 💕 All songs above are fantastic & Fat Bottomed Girls Freddie is wearing my favorite red jacket outfit!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 OMG!!
@@debramoore7513 Hey Debra, thanks! Are you subbed to Mr. Video? He did Bicycle Race today and was NOT expecting what he saw. It's hilarious. Check it (and him) out if you haven't already. I haven't laughed so hard since he reacted to Chuck Berry's 'My Ding-a-Ling.' Which he also didn't expect.
@@debramoore7513 Here's the link to Mr. Video/ Bicycle Race.

@@3ScotsInk I laughed my ass off! LOVE HIM 🤣
@@3ScotsInk YESSSS - I saw that Mr. Video reacted to that!! I’m laughing already! 🤣🤣 Thanks for the link!! One of the best reactions to Bicycle Race was on the HAP3SPEAKZ channel. OMG!! Can’t wait for David (Jack That Back) to react to it. It’s gonna be great! 😂
Please please please do their Live Aid performance. It’s widely considered my MANY people to be the best live performance of all time.
Please do Queen at Wembly Stadium 1985 Live Aid concert. It was a fundraiser for the famine in Ethiopia. 72,000 people attended. Queen absolutely stole the show. It is about 30 minutes long. It has been called one of the greatest shows of all time. ❤
#QUEEN🐐🐐
We lost so much goddamn talent and charisma when we lost Freddie, and with him a generation of men. 😢
This Song & Video Is Freddie’s Final Bow & A Requiem To Who He Was!!! He Worked & Performed Until His Body Couldn’t Take Anymore!! Laugh, Cry, Get Goosebumps Freddie Encouraged It All!!
Yeah going through something right now with my sick father. And Queen has been getting me through it. Music has a way of doing this. Great reaction! ❤️
Hello Terri - Sorry about your father!! 💗💕💗💕💗 Prayers & thoughts always!
I love this song and the video celebrating the life of Freddie Mercury
There was a concert called live aid and Queen hit it. Big crowd and everyone with a tv in the world watched too.
I was given five years to live I've made it twelve the show must go on I was raised on queen my children where raised on queen music for the soul
“Innuendo” next mate and check out the song “Mother Love” which is the very last song Freddie sang in the studio. He was already so ill that he could not finish the last verse. He told Brian May (guitar player) he would return to finish the song but he never did. So Brian finished the last verse.
So sad
Excellent reaction, you really get what he was trying to get across.
I believe when they done Wembley gigs the crowd was between 72,000 and 90,000 however the crowd in the video is from their Knebworth (silent K) concert, crowd 120,000 .
no 90k folk story please
This was one of the very last (if not the last) songs Mercury wrote and recorded before his death. The clip is a collage of other Queen videos because Mercury was too weak already to film new footage. He died shortly after.
Brian wrote it
The last song Freddie wrote was A Winters Tale.. It's on the Made in Heaven album
@@michaellieb5922
Brian and Freddie were writting it together, Brian finished it off and did the demo
@@bluebell3720 No, it's Brian's song. Read Brian's interview about this. The only songs that Brian and Freddie wrote together are "Is this the world we created?" and "Bijou".
@@janematthews3394 Brian song
They recorded this track weeks before Freddie died. Brian was worried Freddie couldn’t do the song because of his health. Freddie slammed some vodka and absolutely fucking killed it. What he legend he was!
This song literally brings me to tears. every. single. time. Not just because it makes me think of where Freddie was when he sang this - but the feeling behind the music and Freddie's incredible voice. It just pulls at the feels -
I've been a Queen fan for 30+ years, you keep reacting, I'll be a forever subscriber! Keep Rocking boss
This is the voice of a dying man, it gives me chills. What a LEGEND!!!
My favourite of Queen.🇬🇧
""there will be a time that technology will become so advanced that people will relly on it to make music, in that moment music will loose it's soul"" --Freddie Mercury
it's so happening right now!!!
freddie is so ahead of his time..
Aah thankyou dear!!! This is such an heartfelt song. Freddie sounds soooo good, but he was so sick! He was something special. I hope you want to check out I want it all or the collab between Freddie and MJ. There must be more to life then this. Much bless to you! ♥️
Queen - Who wants to live forever
Thank GOD we have all these Awesome performances by Freddie abd my beloved QUEEN!!!
Van, this video is pieces of all his gigs over the years.
This song was on their next to last album. He had already been diagnosed with AIDS and was still powering on to perform. He died a week or two after laying down tracks on the last album. He didn't even finish singing in the last song in the album. The guitarist of the group had to finish "Mother Love" on that album after he died. He left recording the studio saying he wasn't feeling well. He was amazing. Performing to the End! Indeed the Show Went On. He never slowed down.
It is bitter sweet. To lose a legend like Freddie. It is amazing to look back and literally watch his life. Ppl these days don’t know what they are missing. ❤️
Please react to Barcelona by Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballé! IT.IS.EPIC.
YESSSSS
Yes!!!
This! You won't be disappointed 😁
Yes please!
It's magical!!!!
I interpret it as he’s goodbye to us all, and it was beautyful.
This is a powerful song, and as Freddie was quite ill at the time, they just put together a compilation of video clips from their concerts and music videos that correspond with the lyrics.
Van it encourages me to keep on going. I have stage 4 COPD and I'm working through it
I only have one request “One Vision” it’s great & you’ll love it!! 🔥🎤🔥
It was cool that you concentrated on themusic and didn't let the video interfere with your thoughts. Those were all cuts from Queen's many very creative videos and some from performances. Most Queen fans have seen them all, so they have meaning for us. The concert with all the people that you asked about was Freddie's last concert with Queen in 1986 at Knebworth. I think there were 130,000 people there. They had sold out two concerts at Wembley earlier in the sumnmer, and there was still a lot of demand for tickets, so they scheduled one more for the last of the season...it sold out immediately.
I get goosebumps every time I hear this.
me too, you can hear he gave it all as a last gift for people to listen and stay positive.
The band liked it when people figured out the meaning of their song for themselves. So, to many fans this was a foreshadowing of things to come, it can also be an inspirational song to keep on trying. This video shows cuts from many of their works. This was not sung at live aid.
Thant great video, brings back many happy memories
My favourite Queen song.
my favorite their song
Brian gave it to Freddie to sing and said I don’t think you’re going to be able to do it. Freddie downed a vodka and held on to the bored and said let’s do it
You gotta check out the song Barcelona. He did a duet with an opera singer and he is just vocally able to sing anything. It's an amazing performance 🤩
It's funny to me how people can see the song different ways. When I hear this song, it speaks to me about the writer putting on a brave face for other people so they can't see his struggle .
Read the story behind the song when it was made, makes this song even more impactful.
This is Freddie facing his destiny. Love you Freddie
That Christmas one is pretty good to if you want to save it for the holidays.
He was so theatrical
Best song.very very best.
This was Freddie Mercury’s swan song. He kept his illness a secret during the writing and recording of this album. Not long after the album was released, he announced publicly that he had AIDS. He died less than a week later.
YT put some crap over the video the last 30 seconds all the time so the end get messed up.
Everyone who make videos should add 30 sec blank screen in the end so their contents don't get destroyed.
You should check out Queen Live Aid 1985. It is the best live performance ever. The crowd you refer to is from that live show.
More Queen the Queenies are strong and well 😍
He knew he was dying and that was what he proved.
Watch live at Wembley...ONE VISION...the song was in reference of the speech by MLK, "I have a dream "
The crowd video is of their last live performance at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire on 9 August 1986 with official attendance at 120,000 but really closer to 200,000. I like you Van!
150k
not 200k
RIP FREDDIE WE MISS YOU!!!!
This was written for Freddie and it was recorded when he was very ill, dying of aids.
He was really ill when he recorded this song and they didn't think he could do it but he said give me a vodka and I will f.....ing do it. He worked right up until his death.
Last night I heard from Nair Studios supposedly released just now. The Show Must Go On LIVE!!!! Hit that Thang!!!!
If I'd be as sick as he was whilst recording this masterpiece, I would not even move from my bed. This man was a legend and will forever be!
He was so near death when he sung this.
Man you read this song perfectly :) thanks for the reaction. New sub
The footage of Queen in concert; showing all of the people in the crowd, was from their last live show @ Knebworth Park. That event had up to 125,000 people.
You're correct when you said this was a collage; because it was. When this video was released on MTV in 1991, it was a few days after Freddie Mercury had died from what doctors described as "Bronchial-pneumonia"; brought on by his contraction of HIV and the AIDS virus.
The metaphor for this video is that while Freddie may be gone; his music still remains.. and it carries on...through new generations of fans who are discovering Queen either through their music or through the Bohemian Rhapsody movie.
Queen + Adam Lambert do a great rendition of this song in honor of the amazing Freddie Mercury. Adam has a great voice and he's very campy and fun, but of course he's no Freddie. The thing I like is that he doesn't try to be. Nobody on the planet is, or ever will be. If you're looking for a different side of Freddie, I highly suggest my (probably) favorite song, "Love of My Life." It's just Brian on accoustic 12 string and Freddie singing. Beautiful song, and you'll see a crowd of 60,000 or more people singing with him.
You got to do queen live aid
The video is basically a goodbye to the fans.
I love this song. For me it has helped me keep going no matter what life hits me with.
The crowd scene was at Live Aid and Queen killed it
He literally did this song a few days before he passed away 😭 still makes me cry every time I hear it
You got the meaning exactly right. Freddie was inspiring in the way he just kept on singing and writing and recording until the very very end. He didn't lose his spirit. His late songs were quite reflective pondering the meaning of life as he knew his end was near, not depressing just insightful and always seeking meaning and finding beauty around him. A Winter's Tale, Innuendo...
My favorite song of Queen.
QUEEN = GOAT
Great reaction fam. More Queen, please. ❤️
When you hear that song, knowing that Freddy wrote the lyrics(with help from Brian May) and recorded it knowing that he was gonna die due to his health issues... man you hear it with another perspective!!!
And the only thing they wanted to is to make that the fans keep a good picture of them, a great band, having the good life, having fun together(that's why the clip is fun like that), and despite the death the show must go on...
Freddie dear, it's all so easy for you because you are magic.
The collage of the video was made after he died
In case you havent yet, please do "Fat bottomed girls", "Dont stop me now", "Hard life" and "Love of my life"
The concert what's been shown in this is Knebworth it was the last concert they ever did with Freddie there wembley concert sold out so they added that show & it held 120.000 people and completely sold out 😊
Came for Freddie, subbed for the reaction!
I grew up with the music of Queen and Freddie was a one in a million artist 💋✨✨This song was kinda his goodbye. Did you know he recorded the last Queen album in a wheel chair? That man 🔥🔥🔥
Sounds like a Baptist church because Freddie biggest influences & best friend was Aretha Franklin
Those were normal crowds for Queen
He could sing better sick than most people do well!
Freddie was dying when he recorded this, that’s why there’s a weird video of montages of old songs. He never performed it live. Singers have said it’s their hardest song to sing, yet Freddie slaughtered it. I read somewhere that he was propped up on the console. Brian May wasn’t sure he’d be able to manage the vocals. Absolute legend, it’s my favourite song of all time ❤️
Freddie was a strong Man despite he was sick he still making music. Music was his life💛. He’s a very Good Example of all braveness and i was so moved with this song. Another Example of his Braveness was in song “These are the Days of our Lives” though it’s very hard to watch but you can see his Determination💛 and infact His Live Aid Performance is another example of the show must go on, he was advice by His doctor bcos of Throat Infection but freddie ignore it... The Show must go , on if you haven’t react to their Live Aid 1985 performance please do🙏🏻 It’s only 20 mins. Freddie gave a legendary and unforgettable Performance in Music History that Day.
👑🤘🏻
Freddie 💗💗💗
Long live Freddie! More Queen, please✌🏾🙋🏽♀️
"Living on my own" or " I was born to love you" anything from Freddie solo album
A message to all from a dying man! What an amazing performer who lives on through his music and these videos.
Who Wants to Live Forever and Innuendo are must listen to songs…
Please react to "In My Defense" and "Who Wants to Live Forever". You won't be disappointed!!!
