    THAT is why you ALWAYS make sure your front and back doors are reinforced to give you enough time to wake up and grab your firearm before they get through the door, or, if you have the money, make it so they can't get through at all!
    If you don't have the cash, for a few bucks, you can buy some 3" screws to replace the screws in your doorplate and the ones that go into the door around the strike. That alone gives you a ton of reinforcement because the screws reach into the framing and go deep into the door.

      It's funny as hell you mentioned 3" screws in the striker plate I thought I was the only weirdo to do something like that. I was thinking about drilling into the slab in front of the door to drop a rebar pin into. I believe the best would be to do the old style with 2×4 slots on both sides to slide a 2×4 or 4×4 through in front of the center of the door.

      @Grenadier311 11 місяців тому +12

      As a former employee of a locksmith business, I approve this message. It's not the lock or door itself that tends to fail; it's the soft wood around the strike the deadbolt is inserted in. We helped a lot of people be truly secure by installing heavy-duty strikes that anchored into the hard wood; sometimes coupled with door reinforcers (metal wrap around the drilled lock hole) for not-so-solid doors.
      Smart customers locked their windows also with devices requiring a special tool to open.

    • @JohnnyRebLa
      @JohnnyRebLa 11 місяців тому +1

      @@Grenadier311 deadbolt only has to crack through about 1 1/4 × 3/4 of wood as most sit. I know it would be weird but that's why I always wanted to put open out exterior doors to help with that.

      @@JohnnyRebLagood idea Ive heard you use the screw in eye bolts and screw them into the door frame or a stud on each side of the door then put a piece of rebar through. Even if you break the door off the hinges it'll still only push back like an inch

Its in the news lately, inmates bitten by rats while sleeping and the prison guards complain about conditions also. During the 1800's this prison had a gallows where convicts were hung and buried in the yards. As an avid reader of history, alot of criminal history took place in this town of over 500 years since settled. A new prison is supposed to be built in coming years but its always delayed.

    The max sentence in Canada is 25 years but if it was a heinous crime, you’ll be labeled a dangerous offender and they will deny your appeals until your either dead or to old and weak to hurt anyone, so we hope but doesn’t always go as smooth!

I live in a place where all my neighbors are armed, our families can shoot and shoot well. We shoot for fun. We have dogs, we have real doors. As opposed to apartment dwellers and people in big cities. Hell, I installed my own front door because the one our home came with did not suffice. I can't imagine the poster even considering what kind of front door he has or what type of lock he has or the fact that it actually matters. I have, and there are a lot of people like me. I grew up with Connolly did time in young offenders secure custody in whitbourne with him on the same unit in the 90s mid to late 90s. Also did time at the HMP adult facility in st.johns NL. Did time with Calvin also at HMP. Shared a cell with Connolly. Calvin is the one on the video stabbing Kenney in the back. Kenney was stabbed 40 times in the back the whole time Kenny had a hold of another inmate fighting with him and never let go the whole time it was chaos. Kenny was not a snitch never heard it or seen paper work the attack was really over two guys Kenny and another I won’t mention, it was from a street beef. Here’s a twist Calvin also stabbed Paul Connolly that night of the murder and left him for dead. Connolly did almost die he was stabbed deep in the heart area and back and spent the next week in icu at the health science with police guarding him. I won’t get into why Calvin stabbed Paul because I have only heard by word of mouth nev seen to paper work or heard from a reliable source who did. But I will say I was definitely surprised shocked to hear why Calvin stabbed Paul. Calvin and Paul were both once good friends both members of sjms, Calvin looked up to Paul at one time being younger than Paul when Calvin first started doing time. Paul had already done years and federal bits by then and kinda showed Kenny the ropes. That church incadent can be found on UA-cam it happened in early 2014 or late 2013 I seen different angles as well as the inmates in the breezeway and haul way on the prison lap top which had video evidence down loaded from many different peoples cases and if u had a case like that u could get request the laptop take in your cell and watch it as well as any others on there. Some wild shit happend at hmp savage beatings, guy get harpooned in the neck with a broke off broom stick, people getting soccer kicked in the face etc.. all on there. Glad to be away from that lifestyle since 2015. Great channel

      Nev mind I left that part out why Connolly got stabbed I was writing as listening and nev heard that part. I didn’t want to say it because I didn’t know for sure out of respect for Paul. But ya apearantly Paul pocket dialed 911 low key and basically ratted on them , the guys found out and that’s why Paul was also left for dead, crazy how u were able to get all that info good work Man U put time into this one. Respect it was a shock to me because Paul was always known as a solid guy and had respect in jail. He had a baby on the way I guess he turned soft and expected serving the rest of his life in prison and tryed to save himself. Apearantly the phone was on for awile while part of the incadent was happening.

    Love the videos. Only think I'd change is that it's not pronounced "newfound land" but "new-fin-land" but as 1 word newfinland
