My Uncle Shaun was murdered the exact same way at Staton in December last year. Raped, beaten, broken ribs, punctured lungs, internal bleeding, head crushed, and eaten up with cancer, that Staton ignored his cries for help about for the entirety of his time there. He laid there for a month after they beat him and weighed 77lbs when he finally made it to South Memorial in Montgomery. We were lied to about where he was... the warden lied to me when I cried asking where he was and said he was in population. I made it 2 hours before he took his last breath. We NEVER got justice. They never told us who did it... my uncle had a drug problem and never hurt a single person in his life. I will never rest until I find out why. 😢

It's still not how he died and a private party autopsy would settle that no problem. They did with tyree and they had to up the charges on those demons in blue. But before the family hired them. They sat on the whole damn thing. This family is gonna have to pull it together and fight for this young man. Til justice is served. In 2023, this cant coexist with us. It can't. Prison is punishment for committing crimes but it’s a bad enough place to be with no violence or fear of other inmates so the fact that fighting, violence, rape, torture and even murder is just something that is part of the prison life is absolutely ridiculous. It’s just a known fact and yet nothings ever done about it I mean it’s not like we have the 8th amendment to protect against cruel and unusual punishment and I can’t think of anything crueler then having to be someone’s sex slave for a couple of years just because u were an addict and got caught with the drugs that already ruined your life or got into a fight and accidentally hurt someone or whatever the case may be. A lot of people say well that’s what u get if u break the law but it could happen to anyone like I said u get into a fight and you’re just defending yourself and maybe the guy falls cracks his head and dies. R u a criminal that deserves to experience the hell of prison? No but when they throw u in there nobody cares about that you’re not gonna get a pass cause u got screwed in court.

Even with they're being corrupt guards there are usually a couple good ones or halfway decent wins that don't allow a lot of crap to happen on their what. Also, it was a dorm setting. There are prisoners that snitch on any one and everything that happens whether or not they're snitching on people and gangs are not. That's just how it is, but nobody said anything?
I've seen guards overlook fights or a little bit of drug use and stuff like that, but this isn't a fight or just a little bit of drug use. This is serious and I don't know how this was allowed to go on.

This boy stole, he didn’t hurt anyone. He took responsibility for his actions and was serving his sentence. He’s not even comparable to the other people he was surrounded by in there. He should have never been in prison around murderers, rapists or people who kidnap. They’re on a completely different level and he’s technically still a kid at his age compared too all of those other grown men in there. It’s even more sad that all those inmates who did that to him, nothings gonna change for them or happen if they are already in there for life or most of it. They had nothing to lose so they took advantage of him. Why would I be cruel to these boys, as their academic instructor, when they are already being punished? As a Christian, I gave the boys hope through our only Lord and Saviour. There are no prison gangs like in the movies. Maybe in other states’ DOC systems, but really not in Alabama. You do have the bloods, crips, gangster disciples, Simon City Royals, etc. But I saw these gangs’ membership based on what city you came from.

Been locked up 6 times and have only ever told anyone my release date once and that was my most recent trip. Got a surprise sentence at court that I was leaving in a couple days. Problem is I had a big ass bag coming with food and hygiene cause I expected much more time. Didn't want that shit to go to waste because some people in my pod were down bad, so talked to the big dog in the block during a chess game before leaving about him passing it out to the folks who were strugglin in the pod (and of course keeping some for himself if he wanted to.) He appreciated that shit a lot and didn't tell anyone until I got my bag and slid it over to him. I left like 2 hours later and in that time had like 9 people pop by my cell and just thank me. It was a cool as feeling.
Definitely wouldn't do this with just any pod though. Dangerous as hell, but being locked up so much you get a good feel for how a pod is quick.

I hope judges and lawyers watch these types of videos so they know what prison is really like and most people shouldn't have to go through that hell just to serve time.

If he was tied up for days, then the guards were probably in on it. You can't not notice someone tied up for 2 or 3 days.

That's because animals living in the wild aren't locked up with the knowledge that they won't ever be free again. If you have an insane "justice" system like that, it's no surprise that people lose their minds in there. No hope, no life, no nothing, and you know it'll be like that for the rest of your life. I can't blame anyone who goes crazy under those circumstances.
