Obsessed with the fact that she’s continuing to insist the first CT scanner weight limit was her ✨exact weight✨ right after admitting she just estimated her weight when she was there.
When they said she couldn’t get the scan why wasn’t she like “hey, I actually have no clue what a weigh. Is there a scale in the building we can use to get that information?”

And being couple of lbs ABOVE this EXACT weight in her „official“ weigh in. So she either was way above the limit or celebrated not being able to get the scan done with A LOT of food 🙄
i still can't fathom why she didn't check beforehand or why her doctor didn't warn the imaging place or why they didn't ask for her weight before the appointment. like... surely the ct scan weight limit is a concern of hers, and why didn't her doctor (who weighs her, just like every other doctor) reach out to the imaging lab with her weight to ensure she was going to one that would work safely for her? it's mindboggling & i'm not sure.... how much i believe the entire situation. some doctors are thoughtless, yes, but that sounds like a mistake amber (who has no medical experience & no ability to research or learn about these things ahead of time) would make, not one a doctor would.
Not only that, she's supposedly 20 pounds under the limit now and she got into that place really fast. So why not how back there??
Oh. That's right. The place has already done the scan and she has the results.
None of this makes sense because it's just Amber exploiting her supporters emotionally for money (repeatedly).

@@michellealvarez1044yeah the person operating the scanner is usually not an MD, they’re trained to collect the imaging but not necessarily to read it. A radiologist is an MD and they are usually in a totally different place reading the CTs as they come in / when they have time

Even when it was major in the past ... Her C diagnoses. Made no difference and didn't change a single thing or how she took care of herself. She didn't take better care of herself lose weight NOTHING. After she said she was in remission life continued as usual including doing many many muckbongs.

I think Amberlynn also fails to realize the scope of issues medical professionals deal with. When you see 15 scans with cancer every single day, it ceases to be a big deal in a sense. The radiologist (if they’d been there) would’ve had no problem keeping a poker face.
When ive had a ct scan they were in the room inspecting the scans they said to me they didnt see anything concerning but to call my doctors for results in a few days, maybe its different in america than new zealand
@@Controversialopinions69The Radiologist is not in the room in the U.S. They have their own office in the Radiology department and read the images throughout the day. The Rad techs notify the Radiologist if they see anything suspicious during the scan and they’ll instruct them on any further testing to preform while the patient is in the machine (whenever possible)
@@Controversialopinions69 It totally depends. I've had them look at the scans right away and tell me there is nothing, or they say the doc will call in a few days. I've even had a radiologist perform a scan for me once, which was surprising.
I am not from America but one time I had pneumonia the moment I got out of the x ray the radiologist came to me and said “you can’t go home. We are admitting you” 😀

Regarding the sobriety situation, some people think she is using it because she sees how people praise her mother for being sober and she is craving that same kind of attention. It is just a theory, but I think it's a sound one.
Amber’s drug of choice is food. So unless she has stopped the sea food boils and ben and jerry’s she aint sober.

I'm so tired of seeing this woman cry on the internet when she won't make the changes necessary to improve her life.
as an adult woman in her 30's she accepts as much responsibility as 15 year old.. like u know u are 500 lb, there are things as a supervised person you need to be proactive on ..1 would be medical exams, she knew she needed a CT, u call and say hey I'm 500 lbs can u accommodate me ..she didnt bc it wasn't a priority for her to do so therefor the medical issue is less of a priority then she is making it out to be.. she didnt get her doctors lined up after moving bc she flamingos everything she can only handle 1 drama at a time , moving was the 1st, then the getting to know her mom one in one , then venturing out into public.. she cannot do more then 1 adult thing at a time part of that is her being emotionally stunted at child hood the other is bc she hides in her house all day long.. if she had to go to a job and be responsible and if she failed to be responsible and she saw how her failure to launch effects the whole staff or how her coworkers are able to work, have problems have a home life and still NOT blow everything out of proportion she wouls see how delayed she compared to her peers.. she is a child in a very large body ..period
I hate to say this, but... when she gets a very genuinely concerning health scare, nobody will believe her no matter the receipts she gives.
It was shown once when she got cancer (which, if she DID, that is scary, but even I questioned it for a second), and it'll be shown over and over until she passes, God forbid. She's playing a very dangerous game, and she's going to win an equally dangerous prize.
She saw the technicians, not the radiologist, and they did not magically generate and interpret her results in the mere minutes after she got the scan. If it's not an emergency situation (a potential pulmonary embolism like Zach mentioned, an ischemic stroke, etc.), your CT scan is not being immediately read. The radiologist needs to get it, read it, interpret it. Potentially consult with a specialist in the organ system that's being examined or maybe an oncologist if there is concern for a tumor. Type up the note and put it in. If she really is having anxiety about this situation, then fine, that's totally valid, but spinning this encounter like a movie scene and setting up suspense for her next health update is so... But enough about that. Empathy Lynn feels bad vlogging when she hears emergency sirens because she feels so sad for the people potentially in an emergency :(
Agreed! I had a couple of questionable mammograms and then after a third, more sensitive one, the tech sent the scans to the radiologist and had me wait so she could read them to determine if we needed to schedule a biopsy-so I waited like 45 minutes and she came in and just said, yeah, you need a biopsy and here is why. It wasn’t immediate and no, the tech had no interest in looking at or interpreting the scan! Just saying!

Our CT scan platform has a maximum load of 500 pounds. We have definitely had to cancel appointments due to the weight of the patient.
She knows to ask what the weight limit is when making the appointment or calling to confirm, shes just trying to make content

I am an addict that was addicted to heroin and OC 's for over a decade. I've not touched either for 5 yrs this month but I do smoke weed. And even though a lot of people won't agree with me, I consider myself sober.

I was living on the eighth floor of a condo building in Center City Philly at Rittenhouse Square (pretty posh, if you know.) We had numerous fire alarms late at night. The danger was the exterior doors and even some of the interior doors would not open once you exited. I had two fairly large cats. I would put them. in their cases, prop the floor and exterior exit door open so I could get back inside if this was a true emergency. None of the emergencies were genuine. People can cook at night, forget what's on the stove, set off the alarms and then we all have to suffer for their negligence.

Radiologists do not participate in the actual scan. She is lying, there was no radiologist giving concerned looks. Radiology techs perform the scans. Most are very professional and would not give her concerned looks. She is after sympathy and stretching this out. She’s all over Tik Tok making videos so she’s fine and lying as always.

i had cancer and had a CT scan and the technologist didn't even give that away, they're literally trained to not do that if they think that they see something (unless it's emergent like a blood clot). they're not even qualified to diagnose anything, so that interaction was 100% in her head & it's kinda crazy to me that she's as old as she is & doesn't have the ability to rationalize or recognize the way her anxiety alters her thinking. she needs to go to a pscyhiatrist, bad.
as an addict myself id never gatekeep anyone from calling themself sober, whether they identify as an addict or never touched a drug in their life, if your sober your sober. i will say that i only hear ppl really discuss their sobriety in the context of an addiction. like if youre putting in concerted effort to stay sober and its a big enough deal to put in the title of a video than to me thats a big indictor of how big of an issue it is. i dont want to put the label of addict on someone who doesnt want it but i do hope amber stays sober because its clear to me she has a lack of self control. she herself has admitted on multiple occasions that she uses drugs to numb her pain and that is very clearly an issue she needs to work on.

While I agree she needs to steer clear of mild altering substances and her sobriety is absolutely a good thing, I have a bad feelings about her attempts to earn the kudos of a severe addict in recovery. She wants the ass pats without having to address her REAL addiction, so it seems to me she exaggerated the level of her addiction to other substances so she can “recover” and gain that legitimacy without having to do anything hard.
She’s 33 with zero coping skills and extreme addition in her genetics. If she was going to be a drug addict, she would have been one this whole time. She’s a food addict…I’ll praise her when she puts in the work to recover from that.

@@tressamarie6509 i do believe she is an addict. whether or not she wants to claim that, its very obvious. she is an addict to everything, shopping, attention, food, and drugs. i dont want to invalidate her drug addiction because as an addict ik how horrible it feels to hear someone say "youre not bad enough for me to care" thats fucking devastating and to me that makes me dive deeper in the addiction to prove it is an issue, not just to other ppl but for myself because hearing shit like that makes me doubt myself sometimes. so id never want to put anyone else in a similar position where they feel the need to prove how addicted they are. i want to respect her as a person, as much as i would anyone else, even if i dont like or trust amber, i dont want to see the worst in her. i do agree her putting it in the title and like doing all this stuff to gain sympathy is not a good look, its shitty to use real issues for her profit, but i dont think that makes what shes saying automatically a lie.

This is a pretty insensitive comment to leave and disrespects the actual sober people in question. It’s not cool to make jokes about sobriety just because we don’t like Amberlynn. I may not agree that she refers to herself as sober either, but we do in fact need food. Alcohol and drugs aren’t a necessity for life, which is why you can be sober from them. People who have overcome eating disorders and food addictions do not refer to themselves as sober because that word has a very specific meaning. Let’s not water it down by bringing her eating habits into the same conversation.

i dont inherently think it's a lah but i've never heard of a medical facility that doesnt just do paper charts when their system is down and then enter those in when the system comes back up. hmm...
I work in an outpatient cardiology office that does echocardiograms and other imaging. The equipment itself has a weight limit of 450 lbs but we reschedule patients over 350 lbs at the local hospital. That’s because it’s not just about the equipment but also the staff. We don’t have the staff or resources to lift a 450 lb person if needed.
I commented this when it was first mentioned too but just because equipment can hold a certain weight doesn’t mean you should test that limit. Our exam tables have a 350 lb limit but I’ve had tables tip up off the ground while performing EKGs on patients over 315 and under 350. Because of that, I do not put patients over 310 lbs on the exam tables because patient safety (and my safety) is crucial.
Also it would be really difficult doing an echo with that amount of fat around your chest! I have one done twice a year and they have to push sssssoooooo hard in to my breast just to scan my heart 🥲 it hurts my vreast so much lol so I can't imagine the feeling on someone so has soooo much more fat on them!
@@Thegirlwhohasadreamhonestly if the rad tech was acting sus after Amberlynn’s CT, it was because they had never seen a CT of so much fat (i feel like that sounds mean but fat obscures so much on the scan, that’s the concerning part in the short term, not necessarily the more serious health concerns that she’s being scanned for)

I'm with you on the skepticism regarding her filming her breakdowns. She is putting them as the pictures on her videos. She's just trying to get more views. She may be scared, but she's playing it up for the camera for more views. I wish I could trust her feelings, but I can't from the past.

24:18 I once took 2 guinea pigs with me when the alarm went off. Usually my daughter and I'd each take one, but she was at school. We had reusable bags set up, with a basket and hay for each piggy. Had to be 2 bags, cause we had a boy and a girl and didn't want babies. (Pet store misgendered our first piggy. Luckily we figured it out before our 2nd piggy was old enough to father babies.

i dont understand the breakdown... i would have had the breakdown while i was with my mom so that she would help me to cope. when i got my kidney cancer diagnosis i lived by myself and i said do i want to go home and cry or do i want to go to the gym where i can workout and get my mind right. while at the gym one of the trainers who know me for years while swimming stopped and talked. she prayed with me and told me that i was not alone. that conforted me and eased my mind. being a big girl i understand the statement about wonder about the CT scan and them finding something. she is huge and the ct scans are a tight sqeeze i know that the first ones i had they had me wait so that they could go over the scans to make sure they see the things they needed to see under all the fat and my movement. the point of this comment is to say that i dont understand coming on camera and breaking down instead of breaking down in front of family and/or friends. i would wont to know that i have someone besides viewer to hug me.

The doctor who ordered that particular scan told me I had to stay until they confirmed there was no clot because I would have been admitted to the hospital if there was a clot.

zack I worked with folks who used substances for a number of years in Harm Reduction. When folks say they're sober a lot of the times it can mean from one particular/group of substances but it doesn't have to mean all substances. Consider things like caffeine, nicotine, etc. Idk how I feel about ALR using that word lol but just trying to say it's fair for someone to use it even if they aren't abstaining from all substances just the ones they know are affecting them very poorly
I hate to ever defend Amberlynn but this also happened to me. I had a pelvic US because of endometriosis and the tech visibly and audibly changed expressions and made a shocked sound as she was,um, exploring me with the wand. (Turned out I had stage 4 endo and had it gone any longer it would have become cancerous.) I live in MD and this was at a nationally famous hospital/facility. I’m sorry but I have to disagree with the people saying “professionals wouldn’t act like that.” Unfortunately they can and do.
I only ever had a problem with her pre-recording videos when she would be weeks behind posting about whatever weightloss journey she was on. We'd get a weigh-in where she would have lost/talked about how great she was doing - but then she'd post a Tiktok from that day of her eating donuts and "struggling."

When I got an ultrasound for a possible bloodclot the person who did it told me he didn't hear/see anything, but it was still sent off to be interpreted. I imagine because it was emergent they were able to say something because if I did have one I would need to be admitted. I have heard they're not really supposed to say anything about other things that need interpretation.
I'm 98 percent certain she already knew the results of the CT scan WHEN she filmed this video. I had one done and had the results in less than an hour.
lol I love all the trash valet discourse. I have trash valet but we also have a trash chute in the garage where you can take it yourself. I prefer to take it myself most days because we have to put the bag out with the trash can and I don’t like waiting to have my trash can back! It sucks to pay the extra $30 per month though
I see the breaking down and filming yourself having a panic attack seems to be two fold.
1- to showcase the “raw and real” emotions of what it’s going through. To understand for others to relate or empthaize but also for herself in this documention lifestyle. The later could work if she really reflected and watched herself objectively but she can’t or won’t.
2- For Monterey gain. She obviously realizes that this gets views extra from her regular life and wants it to be dramatic
Oh come on, ffs! My neurologist sent me for chest x-rays once and the radiographer took me aside and told me he saw something in my lungs, which could be one of two things, but my neurologist will investigate. Is it not the radiographer's responsibility to tell the patient if he sees something? How would he know what it is before taking time to look at the results properly? Is it the radiographer's job to diagnose, or do they simply send their findings to the referring doctor for them to decide?
I appreciate how Zach's facial expression noticeably changes when they see how upset she is at the 14 minute mark. Just some genuine human reaction to seeing someone scared or worried about something.
Im guessing shes using sobriety because her mom talks about her sobriety and Amber is doing what she does when shes around people.
Great video Zach, one thing I disagree with you on is her use of the word sober. Like Peter Monn says being sober a year, a month, a week or an hour you’re still sober and all you can do is go one day at a time. Her not using any substances for two weeks does make her sober. And if she was using THC every day she likely has a high dependency rate. So I think it’s fair for her to say that she’s sober and trying. Even if it’s just thc we all react to addiction differently. Even if she does go back to using, she is sober now. I hope she sticks with it since it seems like it’s overall better for her mental health and physical health. But I completely understand what you meant and I feel you are justified in your opinion. I just wanted to share my thoughts and opinions as well! Much love.

As a CT tech I can say we're very good at hiding our emotions. If we find something, the patient will never know. If it is something emergent we will hold the patient, contact the radiologist and send them the images to look over.
Tbf to her, I’ve had my own struggles with weed and I can’t imagine how much harder it is living in a place where it’s legal (?) and easily accessible (from UK). I struggled for a long ass time getting sober so I do feel for her there. (And I also completely get your hesitance on her using the word!!!)

I’ve had CTs and MRIs. Usually, the person who performs the tests are techs. Thier job is to place you correctly, make sure everything on the test is readable to the doctors and pass it on to said doctor. Once in a blue moon will a tech see something SO serious, the doctor reads it immediately.
I am not saying it’s not scary to think something may be very wrong again because, it definitely IS. But, Amber gets into her own head too much, overthinks and gets herself overwhelmed, hence, panic.
She’s always struck me as having hypochondria-like tendencies. In the past, she’s looked for things to be wrong, things to happen and reasons to get worked up. If you’ve followed her for a while, you’ll know I’m not being mean. Amber is being… Amber. She would benefit from actually talking to her momma about how scared she is, confiding in people IRL before faceless people on the net. She’s got catastrophe brain, I call it. Anything she thinks can go wrong, she believes will go wrong. I am not a fan of hers but, I TRULY hope nothing serious is wrong. I mean cancer happened once and it didn’t change her. I don’t know what else would be the wake up call that sticks?! 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
