Sentence structure in Japanese Toire wa doko desu ka Toilet where is? Sentence structure in English Where is the toilet It's like for native English speakers we have to almost completely erased our way of creating sentences in order to quickly learn and understand Japanese. Other examples Japanese Kore wa nan desu ka This what is ? English What is this? Japanese Inu ga bo-ru o kyatchi Dog ball catch English Dog catches the ball If you want to be experienced in Japanese then my English speakers you have to throw everything you know about correct sentence structure out the window because it's different in Japanese.
I have anime in my life so picking up on hiragana, katakana, and kanji was very easy. What I need to do and go back to is I would have nothing but Japanese music, tv shows, even play video games, and even change my phone to the language so I can pick up on the sentence structure of Japanese. The only thing that was wrong is living in a household that uses English as the main base language is hard because I will have to use English to communicate with my family and friends and if I did not communicate with them in their language they will take it as an insult. So hopping back and forth from one language to another on the daily was very hard. If you live alone I I differently recommend to do it involve Japanese in your daily life. For example eat only the foods you know how to say in Japanese. If you're in trouble who do you call if you was in Japan not 911 and what's the word for cop in Japanese. How to ask for help, what's the words of each furniture in your house. If you don't know the Japanese word for bed then don't sleep on it. That's how I got to learn Japanese fast enough to help me communicate with people while I was in tokyo. I want to go back to that since I want to go back to Japan but for me to be able to stay for months I must be able to hold a conversation and immediately respond back to a person who wants to strike up a conversation with me
Oh my gosh, of course it is. You can't just jump into a language and think that you'll be able to learn everything in the first week. Learning a language takes hard work and dedication and can take years to become somewhat fluent. Most people studying Japanese become somewhat fluent near four years of studying. And to all those people watching this because they want to be able to watch anime without subtitles: I'm sorry, but if that's the only reason, then just give up. I'm learning Japanese for a future job, and it took me at least 5 weeks to memorize all the hirigana and katakana. So, in my experience, of course it's going to be hard.
TURKISH is also pretty similar to japanese btw, i am turkish living in germany and many things like gramatik and phonetics are similar in those languages. I noticed that immediately when I started learning Japanese for the first time and 1 year later a Japanese text book of mine had the same opinion on that :D
Japanese is easy, the sentence structure is hard especially for us who knows English. If I can go weeks without using english in my everyday life I can easily pick up on Japanese
i've heard that german grammar is much harder than english grammar, prob germans can learn japanese much easier my friend who learned portuguese, english and german is studying russian, that's a hard language to learn like japanese, he said that russian is so easy for him to learn, it has lots of cognats from PT, ENG and german, maybe russian grammar is easier for him, russian for him is like a spanish for portuguese speaker i'm a portuguese and english speaker and i still find japanese hard to learn, portuguese is harder than english, so these two languages make japanese bit easier to learn sorry to say some things that doesn't have anything to do with your questions
The hardest part of learning Japanese is a whole sentence
Agreed, some words are pretty decent (in difficulty to learn) and letters are more easy but sentences are just another level.
Anything in Japan are difficult... Language, Writing System, Grammar Structure, Complex Sentence, Accent, Intonation...🤔
Not really.
Risa should make her own channel and monetize it :D
The hardest thing about learning anything is self discipline. Well, at least for me lol

Can you elaborate on this "making friends" ? How do I make them and what materials do I use for making them?

The dificulties its only in the writing, listening, gramar and pronunciation but its easy...

Hi Risa! Let's be happy!!

Yotsuba-to is decent manga for using as a reading book (Furigana on all Kanji) and Yotsuba's dictionary is childish, so it's easy to learn from her :)

Both Spanish and Japanese are similar in terms of the phonetic chart. We share pretty much the same system.
