- Cello prodigy Sheku Kanneh-Mason makes his debut on the stage of the George Enescu Festival with a mesmerizing rendition of the Shostakovich Concerto. Here with the Hungarian National Philharmonic and maestro Cristian Mandeal.
Movements:
1. Allegretto (00:44)
2. Moderato (7:48)
3. Cadenza - Attacca (21:11)
4. Allegro con moto (27:40)
Kanneh-Mason sets the standard for this piece for me. I have listened to a lot of different recordings of this piece and Sheku plays it best! 🧡
You are the most talented celloist I've encountered! Tears...joyful tears!
Beautiful ❤❤❤.
Ive also listened to Capucon/Gergiev, but this preformance is smoother, and seems to have more depth and passion .
Bravo!!
Extremely gifted and passionate young artists! Thanks. I have shared these pieces so often! On my playlist! As an artist who has heard this before several times, never have I heard it played so passionately. Kudos!
ロストロポーヴィチ以来の素晴らしい演奏!
Holy moly . . . I think Shostakovich must have discovered a way to create a geometric manifold to lift those that were being used as lambs up, up and out of that dimension of enslavement. There must be layers of existence on a given mathematical level.
Wonderful!!!

What does HNPO stand for?
название оркестра
Да, но как называется оркестр?@@shohruxjuraev1264
It says in the description: Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra.
@@sky0infiniteThank you.
The conductor doesn't shake Mr. Kanneh-Mason's hand when it's offered to him before the Shostakovich begins. Very rude behavior IMO.
Well he is black
He does shake his hands at the end. At the beginning, it was just a gesture in the conductor's direction.
Now compare this Garbagekovich with Elgar...
One day you'll have learned to appreciate it. Music for the more experienced listener... This is world-class..
@tramways_1435 I am a critic and art theorist, dear amateur, that's why I am saying the obvious: this is not music.
