Hey there, Jennifer! You’ve won the YT giveaway!! 🥳 If you’ll send me a message on Instagram @royaltysoaps with your shipping info, we’ll get your prize to you!! Thanks so much for supporting Royalty Soaps!!
Yeah I got it with soap 2, but not soap one. High school me would've been really excited about this. 32 year old me is boring and kinda grew out of LOTR.
I had a feeling it would be Hobbits with the first one, then the grey one I imagined Mithrandir, and then the barrel sort of nailed it for me. The next one I imagined to be the desolation of Smaug - the sky above Lake Town just burning (I was wrong), but the sunrise threw me off - it seemed a bit too tropical to fit. I'm so glad to see I got it tho! Reading the comments I felt like I was way off and really doubted myself.
Never apologise for emotions! The LOTR has so many amazing moments like that, I even started tearing up when you talked about Theodin coming out of the fog because "I know your face" is such a wonderful line!!
Wait….. I feel so dumb rn.. I have seen LOTR written all over and I didn’t realize it was an acronym for lord of the rings until just now.. this whole time I thought it was a character name..
I just told my husband and said “Katie is enabling me!” I have been obsessed with LotR since I was in 7th grade! I own about 50 books either by Tolkien, his son, or are guides/analysis/companions for the books!!
Hey Kathleen If you are Tolkien obsessed you might like to check out Signum University. They offer free public.broadcasts through their fan focused Myhtgard Institute. The Prancing Pony Podcast is another great community to check out.
@@sharbean Thanks! I will definitely check it out! I actually seriously considered a career in English and becoming a Tolkien scholar. I still love reading and discussing the depths of the lore, symbolism and themes throughout his books. Shar- do you also by chance like the Sword of Truth series? Your name reminded me of a character in it :)
I am legitimately always impressed by how these soaps come out. Like you start with just a light yellow base and some tiny cups of colors, then BAM you have a literal work of art
My first thought when I saw the "Barrels out of Bonds" soap was LotR, but I couldn't place the other soaps. LotR is my favourite book, so I'm very happy with this theme!
The entire collection is absolutely gorgeous. I'm definitely telling my mother about this series, she loves Lord Of The Rings! Oh, and congrats on the 10 year anniversary!
I tried. Sigh. Apparently, I can’t stand Tolkein’s writing style. I’m just not the kind of person who likes seriously in-depth world building. I’m more a get-the-plot-going kinda gal.
The fourth soap is one of my favorites she has ever made. It looks like silhouettes of mountains with sun peaking around the edges because of the gold mica line and the background just looks magical and far away, there's so much depth in the soap. Love the color palette too.
I’m so glad the soap is LOTR themed!! I’m huge fan of the series and i feel like I don’t see too much art inspired by it (in comparison to Harry Potter anyways lol)!
Thank you so much for doing middle earth! I live in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and i always love seeing everyone getting inspired by something which started out as a small kiwi dream inspired by a brilliant book series. It is one of my fav series not just the movies but the books as well. Sending lots of Aroha (love) your way!
I've been watching Katie's videos for a year now and I absolutely love her. I was already interested in soap making, and her beginner series helped me take that step. My biggest batch has been 55 bars, which I made for my sister's wedding to be given out as favors and were a big hit. I never could have done it without her, and watching her videos always brings some joy to my day with how positive and uplifting she always is.
I've had so much fun watching this series! But I have to say that when you teared up speaking about your Dad, I almost lost it too! Thank you for such a wonderful series.
Never feel like you have to apologise for becoming emotional and tearful. Emotions are valid and important we'd ll be happier and healthier if we recognised that.🤗🤗 🤗
I am so happy with this series, ngl. Beyond the subject material, everything about it was all different sorts of cottagecore that it makes my hobbit heart and soul happy. ❤️❤️❤️
This collection is really nailing the good food, warm hearth, and all the comforts of home for me. Excellent designs, had me guessing until you broke out the barrels.
The Theoden soaps really caught me off guard, but it makes so much sense now! It's really awesome to hear you talk about this character with such passion. I never really liked the character, but this really gave me some new insight.
This series looks so amazing! And I love that a lot of the scents are masculine as well. First time ordering, let's see how long they take to arrive to Finland! :)
If you struggle with reading LotR I highly recommend the audiobooks- much easier to digest but really adds to the world if you have a passion for the films 👌
Agreed. I am a voracious reader but couldn't get through LOTR the first time after loving The Hobbit (I was 10 to be fair). Didn't attempt again until after multiple viewings of LOTR and finally read this past winter. I think if Katie read them we would have Tom Bombadil (and Goldberry) soaps!
I'm usually a lil shy when it comes to commenting but I really wanna say thank you for this wonderful soap series, the amount of love and thought that went into it is incredible, and as someone who loves LotR very dearly because it's helped me and continues to help me through tough times watching parts of the story come to life in such unique and creative ways really made me happy. Thanks so much for sharing all of it with us, and congrats on 10 years, hope there will be many more to come! Much love
I’ve had such a fun time watching along with this series and reading people’s comments and theories and such! Thank you Katie, this has been such a blast!
I have been thinking about this series all month! I am so excited to see the reveal! Everyone had very great guesses and had claims to back up their thoughts. Always love the secret soap series! Y'all are always so creative!
One of my favorite memories of my mom is sitting on the back porch with her as she read The Hobbit to me the summer before my 6th grade year. I still have that copy of the book-it makes me smile every time I look at it 💜
My goodness this would definitely be my partners favorite soap, he usually uses pine tar soap that has a very campfire type smell. I think the Elvin inspired soap would be my favorite
I watched LOTR a few different times as a kid because my brothers loved it, but I watched the extended versions as an adult recently and was tearing up the whole time. Everything had so much more meaning. I’m so glad I got to watch them as a kid and again as an adult. What an incredible series. (The movies and the soaps:)
Oh I love LOTR! I'm so glad that you've given LOTR a whole collection of soap! I'm so excited to see what the sent descriptions are and I can't wait to slap the collection sticker onto my water bottle!😄
Try breaking the books into characters. Follow Frodo and Sam through to the end, then go back and catch up on Legolas, Aragorn, Merry and Pippin. And take as much time as you need
Every time my depression flairs up I like to binge watch the extended Lord of the Rings movies in one sitting. They give me so much comfort in a dark time. This collection brings me so much joy!!!! Seriously keep up the fantastic work Katie!!!!!!!!
I’ve started reading the books recently, there’s definitely a good bit of waffling on, but it is nice to give a bit of depth to certain scenes within the movies that you otherwise wouldn’t think about without them :)
This was absolute perfection, Katie. The soap, the art collabs, the bringing together of all the elements of the secret collection, and the love and respect that you have for your family. Made-me-cry-perfection. ❤️
It's so cool to see the whole secret soap series together! Every one is so beautiful and lovely. I love how some of the designs are more direct inspiration from the LoTR series while others are more abstract representations. The creativity and thoughtfulness put into this collection is incredible!
Katie lovely soap really . love your family values .it's so refreshing to see young people loving family. your parents should be proud I'm sure they are.
Usually I'm stumped by the secret soaps but I was positive this time it couldn't possibly be anything besides LotR pretty much from the start. The barrels definitely sold it for me though.
Katie, what a great soap collection! BIG QUESTION: What glittery eye shadow are you wearing? LOVE IT!

Goodness, the folks who guessed LotR with just the strawberry soap seemed crazy to me, but they were really on the bar (hehe) with that guess!
I’m one of them!! 😂✋🏻
Me too!

@@marli8907 As a 28 year old who's been obsessed since they were 9... how is growing out of it even possible?
You’re one of the main reasons that at the age of 62 I’ve started making soap. Your enthusiasm is contagious.
A massive Thankyou Katie
Never apologise for emotions! The LOTR has so many amazing moments like that, I even started tearing up when you talked about Theodin coming out of the fog because "I know your face" is such a wonderful line!!
Wait….. I feel so dumb rn.. I have seen LOTR written all over and I didn’t realize it was an acronym for lord of the rings until just now.. this whole time I thought it was a character name..
Pippin: We've had one soap, yes, but what about second soap?
Merry: Don't think they've heard of second soap, Pip.
A rootbeer float soap would be so cute with those little barrels, they remind me of the rootbeer candies
Things I didn't know i wanted: root beer float soap
She did a root beer float soap a few years ago. ua-cam.com/video/yxY_BNASQDA/v-deo.html
I feel less dorky knowing LOTR brings someone else to tears numerous times throughout the story lol. Beautiful work 🖤
I love lord of the rings/the hobbit "Cast it into the fiiiire!" "No! I shall cast it into my bath instead! For it is precious to me and smells nice"
Maybe a bath bomb, but dear lord don't drop the soap!! LOL
😭 i never got into lotr, so i was lost in this series. but seeing everyone break down their theories, i was absolutely convinced by the end of it!
🥰🥰
Same!!!!
Same here!
Yep!
No time like the present!
The barrel soap is what solidified the theme in my mind! I’m impressed with those who got it from the first soap. Such a beautiful series!

@@jazwariuje that’s a good question! From the Lord of the Rings it has to be Aragorn though Faramir is a close second.

Ive literally never seen someone cry over a series they've never actually read. Katie, youre just pure goodness.
I thought she was crying because it reminds her of her dad and how wonderful he is
I am legitimately always impressed by how these soaps come out. Like you start with just a light yellow base and some tiny cups of colors, then BAM you have a literal work of art

the barrels soap was the big hint for a lot of people.
Katie said “I’m going to put in one more swipe of black”. Now I know the color!
I'd love to see other book series, like Narnia or even little house on the prairie
Little House on the Prairie would be really interesting! That's a really great idea!
Little house would be Amazing!! Or even (not related) Andy Griffith.
The entire collection is absolutely gorgeous. I'm definitely telling my mother about this series, she loves Lord Of The Rings! Oh, and congrats on the 10 year anniversary!

Maybe with a Sweetroll soap.
That would be AMAZING!
Yes yes yes yes!! All the yes!!
Um. Yes. I'd be so excited to see that.
