❤ understand you, same here, am 52...never thought will see this farewell jewel. Love Elton John, George Michael, David Bowie, AND Tina Turner... can't lie, tears drop bye...best regards from Paris France !
Jeez the comments. He,s 76 years old,had a hip operation,a fantastic pianist and song writer.I don’t know anybody that age that can hit the high notes.Note the age range in the audience and the size of the crowd, and they all knew the songs. That says it all really.
Tom Jones is older and still able to do it, most of the performer's from Eltons era had to be able to sing using poor equipment and no automating etc, but I agree Eltons voice is as good as ever.
@@geoffnelson6756I don’t think Tom Jones is selling out stadiums of 50,000 people 2 times a week at the end of his career.Along with this crowd of nearly 200,000.
@@mialee9579 I didn't say he was, Tom is 83 by the way and he still has an amazing singing voice, guess we'll have to wait 7 years to see if Elton still has it. I think they're both great by the way, unlike modern rubbish.
This last UK performance will go down in history. Just a shame George Michael has left us. This would have been even better with his good friend George there. Thank you for all the amazing music over the years Elton! 🇬🇧
Thanks for this. Elton was due to play New Zealand then got sick so he returned this year but got rained off. We missed out on seeing THE ROCKETMAN. You're so lucky to see him.
I was a bit i different about Elton John at Glastonbury. I was prepared for the worst. OMFG - the man smashed it and what a band. I was overwhelmed, sitting at home applauding. The PW opening was breathtaking THIS is how to headline (Arctic Monkeys....taking notes??) At the end, when he said "Thank you Glastonbury, thank you England" - what a moment. One of our own. 🤜🤛👍❤🎼🎵🎶🏴
He's had a lot of practice but generally, this wasn't great.😕 He should have been able to wheel Rock royalty out onto that stage but we ended up with what could be possibly "paid" promotions...
it would of made it extra special if he sung Can You Feel The Love Tonight (Disney's The Lion King) classic and one of well know song of his carrer ever, and also if wanted a laugh but so big Step Into Christmas.
I dont know why singers from way back and at their peak think they still have what it takes when there in their 70's. Shocking vocals. Maybe it is a good thing he's retiring. Definitely time to hang up that microphone
I definitely don't need my ears cleaned, but more covered up. He was shocking. I have loads of respect for my elders and I respect Elton John as an Artist. But there has to be a time to stop and that time is now
He should have been Sunday afternoon, it's not what I'd want to see .. but I didn't go or watch it on the telly. I do think he's a legend but it's not what I'd want to see
He merited the prime spot. This wasn't great by a long chalk but his music in the 70's was sublimely beautiful. Of the *1200* albums I'm lucky enough to own in a very eclectic collection, I have 2 of his in my Top 3! He was that good!
@@simonfootie6255listen, you're an expert, maybe you can tell me how the voice splits in the lower and upper range in falsetto and soup tone? where did you hear his falsehood? Scarecrow!😅
I don't know why everyone is raving about Elton John. He struggled with his vocals as did many of the so-called legends this year. It seems Glastonbury thinks that legend equals well past their best artists who should have packed it in years ago. Guns n Roses were awful, it was only Slash who kept it tight. Axel Rose looks like a washed up hairdresser from Coronation Street who thinks he can get away with wobbly vocals if he ran everywhere and did numerous costume changes which meant dodgy leather trousers and t shirts that would look better on his kids. It's a toss up between him and Elton for the most age inappropriate clothing award.
People rave about Elton John because of his extraordinary creativity, willingness and ability to entertain and because they find joy in his presence. It's often said that he provided the soundtrack to people's lives and it's completely true. There has always been something special about him and because he's Elton John he's always known it. He deserves all of the adulation he gets and he deserves it. He's a living legend.
Such a fitting tribute to our George Michael thank you Elton. Miss George he was part of my youth an amazing songwriter like Elton is. 🇬🇧

Just wondering how a hip replacement effects your voice.... I'm not a troll but I still want it explained
Enjoy your well-earned retirement, sir elton John thank you your music which spanned my youth and adulthood. Thank you for the memories.

Wow. I watched on TV and wondered what it was like if you were a long way from the stage. Still sounds incredible.
They could proudly say they attended Elton John’s last concert in person
Fantastic band and Elton was much better than I expected. Great show.....

Thats amazing, you can almost see the stage from that viewpoint, sounds pretty good though.
What stage? You'd need a taxi to get there. 😂
