So proud of you Jake! From a farm hand to a farm owner in just a short two to three years. Wow! You are doing a great job. I can picture you children running around with all the animals and exploring the property! I can't wait to see the animals in the new pasture. Your doing great!
@@MandMDelI saw No-one helping with the building of the fences. Credit where its due ...he had family assistance...but he put in the hard YAKKA .....Great character building Jake....be proud.🎉🎉🎉🎉
Jake, I'm so proud of you.. How many other young men your age can say they have accomplished what you have in a few short years. The home inspection will come in time. I can barely wait to see what you and Lyssa do with Honey Hill. As soon as you all drove up to Miss Judy's farm I knew that was home. You and Lyssa truly are blessed. Nothing but good vibes for you and your family.
I never saw the video when Jake found out about this place or first saw it,, could someone give me the name of the videos ... its hard to keep up with all the morrow videos
Jake please don't underestimate yourself, to watch you lay the early foundation of a homestead that God willing will go on and on and you are thoughtful and thorough. Someday your great great grandchildren will honor you and talk about how you started it all 😊❤ I am so happy for you and your little family
Great job jake! As for Moving Moseph, I would try moving him first with one of the smaller cows, he will be able to check the place out for the others so when they get over and see him settled in they will relax faster and if he has one of them with him he won't be as stressed out over being separated from the herd.
I don’t want Moo to be lonely. So last. You have made great progress with your fence. I’m so relieved that you are having your house inspected. It was a concern of mine. But did not want to say anything because it’s your business. I would be surprised if there is not asbestos in the floor tile. In the 50s asbestos was used a lot in building materials. It even bothers me that your family is using that asphalt gravel around their homes. But again not my business. Asbestos is a carcinogen and is very dangerous. So hats off to you for having it checked out.
I am so excited for you Jake. I'm glad to see you use all the things you learned from Lester on your own farm. All the men in your family have taught you very well and it's good to see you use all the things you have learned on your new home.
Jake your amazing. You went from working with Uncle Lester to do things for the other Morrow to buying your own land and now sweetie your inspection that house and bring your family to it. Thank God you have the house by your Dad to stay in till its done. The fence/pasture looks good. We need a new name for from shirtless Jake... you've grown past that stage in your life. ❤
Glad you’re getting a house inspection. Especially, on an older home. We had asbestos in our furnace and ceilings. I would move Moo last so he’ll have his family there waiting for him. You will know what’s best when the time comes.
I’m so glad you’re having that house inspected. I’ve been so worried about that house having asbestos. So relieved to know you won’t be working on a house that is going to harm you. I’m so excited to see you work on the house. Also can’t wait for the day the animals get to come to the property. So proud of you ❤
I 100% agree, Moo & Oreo together first! If that’s not possible because they are so big then Moo & Annabelle. I wonder if it’s going to be hard to move that big guy.
You should be very proud of yourself Jake you’ve worked hard to get this done all by yourself well done 👍 I think maybe Moo with another cow maybe Annabelle first then Granny with Oreo , you could probably bring quite a few of the smaller heifers together in one trip. You should ask Lester if you can use the big trailer as that would be the better one to use😊
Howdy Cowboy Jake, It’s great to see the ending of the fence work within sight, once the house is cleared it won’t take long for you and Honey to get the house in shape.
Good morning Jake. How do you question about who you should bring to the new property first, I think I that Moo should come first. As long as somebody else comes pretty soon afterwards you don't want him to be alone in the pasture for too long❤ , what was your first Cow! Try to stay warm and have a great day XXXO 💕😁
Your fencing has come along great! I think I would move Moo last, that way when he gets there he will see everyone else is there, and maybe it will be easier to unload him etc…❤ Waiting until you have an inspection to start on the house, and looking out for your future health is a smart move. My Dad had worked in insulation since He was 14 years old, they worked with and around asbestos for years, he developed a lung condition in his late 50’s, he also smoked but, they kept testing him until He passed away for Mesothelioma, and doctors felt what he was exposed to earlier in life contributed to his lung condition.
Jake I love that you’re on Utube now! This is Carolyn. I sent you frowned faces months ago remember, I was just joking. I love you and Alissa. I saw you working on your fence the other day, what a great job. I will watch you and Pawpaw and water every day 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤ laugh a lot and be happy
Bring Moo and a buddy, you can let Moo off the trailer first if you want him to be the first animal to step on the land. and have a bale of hay waiting.
I watch a lot of shows on HGTV. When there's asbestos, the house can no longer be accessed until the experts remove it and they're dressed from head to toe in protective gear. Before you remove any walls, you'll need an expert to tell you if it's structural or not and you may also need a permit. I think Moo should arrive first to maintain his leader position.
Good morning Jake you have come a long way yes you don't need to get y'all sick thank you for having me along God bless y'all love y'all keep up the amazing work don't forget the teepost covers so Paris doesn't get hurt and then you'll have to put up some lofing sheds for lilfoot glen and paris to go under
You're doing so good with the settling in process. The house inspection is important especially with Jr. You may want to check or leaks and animals in there too. I do think the fence should be closer do to the draining to the corner but I can be wrong. I say Moo or Granny first to establish the rank' but with another so not alone. Prayers for everyone to be warm and safe in this weather blowing through.
I a surprised there wasn't a home inspection done prior to the close of escrow on the house. That way if there are major issues beforehand the repairs are exposed and you have negotiable power with the sellers. Hope there's a good report for you! ❤❤
@celesteredding1550 I'm not sure there is a trailer that could move Moo and Oreo together. Remember, the new property is more than an hour away from Plum Grove. The cost of moving the herd will be enormous, and then is he going to run back and forth every day to make sure they are OK. The logistics of working this out is HUGE.
My Dad knocked down our asbestos garage in the early 80’s, he wore what was deemed “protective gear” at the time but suffered with breathing issues later in life so you’re right not to take any chances Jake 🤯. Hopefully it’s clear 🙏🙏🙏
I am in the middle of a kitchen bathroom remodel on a house built in the 50's-60's and there is a pipe invaded with Asbestos and we where told to not touch it and close the wall back up. As long as you don't disturb it. So that is what we did. Was told it would cost more then the remodel just to remove an 8 foot pipe and I would have to move out. So we left it and closed the wall back up. I was sad as I wanted that wall gone but its ok.
Jake I think it depends on where you are living at the time.Move Moo when you will be living there. He has been your right and die Cow. At times in your videos he has looked to be your best friend.❤Darlene from Ohio ❤️
Mesotheliomas take about 20-30 years to develop post exposure to asbestos. Whatever you build I hope you elevate the dwelling to flood proof any future possibilities. Agree with other people to bring your current home over maybe than renovating that older home. Looks like a lot of $$$ to fix it up Moo and friend first
I think whatever you think as far as the order that would be best for the cows to comeover. I just hope you plan on doing a shelter that will be big enough for all of them before bringing them to the new property. We all watch for the love of the animals and they have yet to be provided with proper shelter. Especially bc Moo is old he deserves it, he always went inside at ISS. I would donate towards it!
I always think of moo as your herd leader so I think should come first. Not first to by a lot of time so that he’s alone long, but in the first load at least.
Have Lester help and maybe your dad so they can all come over together. Will you be staying over there some nights like Lester does at his places? Now you need a guardian dog .
Jake it looks like your property has a lot of clay and it's not allowing the water to drain very well. You should remove the clay that you are going to be driving on with the tractor and replace it with a sand and soil mixture. So it will drain. Don't make the mistake of putting more clay down like your uncle Lester!
My vote is for Middle. I feel with Moo being okder that he should be moved in the middle of the animals being moved. That way he still has some of his head at Morrow Hill with him when the first group goes over and then he'd have some of his head at Honey Hillvwhen he gets there. I feel like he will be lost and even more confused if you separate and move him first and the same if you leave him until the last. I feel strongly that middle is best...but it is your animals and your farm.
Not a good idea to bring Moo first as he would be all alone and you know how he likes to get out, that said when you bring Moo you need to be able to stay the day so you can keep an eye on him and make sure he is not trying to go over the fence. I think he will feel more at home if the others are already there also make sure to bring more than one at a time when you start bringing them over, don't just bring one and go back for another. You do not to have one all by itself.
I think it would be best to move all the other animals and have a vet come out and look at moo and you and your wife and whoever have a discussion and decide about move because he’s evidently having issues as I saw in your other video. And then y’all decide about moving him. Can he handle it? Will he fit and whatever you have to bring him
