    I look forward to purchasing this book. Your videos informed my decision to become vegan. That was not my initial intention. I simply wanted to live a healthier life. Your templates around meal prep simplified the process and made me realise that this lifestyle is not as expensive or time consuming as I thought. It simply requires planning and attention; but the trade-off is invaluable. Thank you so much for your good work. Best wishes for your continued success

      Marcia, your comment warms my heart so much, as this is the point of it all: to help people take things into their own hands and realize their own capabilities and potential when it comes to creating a high quality of health and wellbeing via their diet and lifestyle choices. I thank you so much for taking the time to share this all with me. It is so valuable and helpful to know, and so very much appreciated. Thank you, and likewise, best wishes to you too :)

      The choices we make all contribute to either a better or worse life, so it is so worth it for people to make healthy choices as much as they can, in order to benefit their health and wellbeing. Best wishes Michael!

      Thank you so much Michael! I have had no expectations about it from the start, other than sharing through it what I feel is most helpful to others, and having the right people, who can most benefit from it, be aware of it :)

      Hi Diana, thank you so much for your feedback. With regards to a cookbook, no, as my approach is to teach people how to have flexibility, creativity, sustainability, and practicality with their meals, rather than adhere to specific recipes or meal plans, which can be very limiting and restrictive. Of course, I realize that the latter can also have great value for many and there is a time and place for cookbooks, so I may create a whole-food, plant-based cookbook in the future. But for now I have been teaching predominantly via meal templates so that anyone can make any meal, anytime, given the ingredients they have on hand, rather than being restricted by any. You can find all my meal ideas and recipes freely via videos on Healthytarian (www.healthytarian.com/page/meals) and written recipes on Evolving Wellness (www.evolvingwellness.com/page/recipes).

    I have heard so many negative things about pluses and high natural sugar producing foods. How can this lifestyle/diet work for me?

    • @Healthytarian
      @Healthytarian  5 років тому +5

      Hi Daisy, I assume you mean "pulses" as is beans and legumes, due to the lectin fears, and high natural sugars in fruits. Please know that what information you get will all depend on the person's perspective. Is the expert you are getting your info from giving you a holistic perspective or a reductionist perspective? As you see, in our society the most popular food and diet fads represent a reductionist way of thinking. This means too many people, experts and internet info focuses on isolated details without looking at the big picture.
      This is why people are taught to fear lectins in grains and beans, fear sugar in fruits, and fear other things like oxalic acid in spinach, gluten, and so on and so forth, which all for the most part is completely irrational and incorrect. When we lose sight of the "big picture", we work against ourselves, against our bodies, and against nature. This is why my approach is holistic, and I help people know how to bring back the sanity when it comes to their health and eating choices. Eating is not hard and nature is not out to get us. Every plant food is wonderful in its own way, but to clear out the noise and confusion, as with all things it takes education.
      So you have to first find what it is that resonates with you and what are your priorities, and then focus on that, and educating yourself on that as much as possible. Otherwise, what happens to most people is they bounce around from food fad to food fad, from diet to diet, and obsess, worry about, and fear certain nutrients or numbers unnecessarily. This is no way to live or eat, and that is what my work is all about, helping people make it easy and practical, when they are ready to do so. Best wishes!
