The Jagannath Temple is an important Hindu temple dedicated to Jagannath, a form of Sri Krishna in Puri in the state of Odisha on the eastern coast of India. The present temple was rebuilt from the 10th century onwards, on the site of an earlier temple, and begun by Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva, the first king of the Eastern Ganga dynasty.

We lived in Puri for 3 years during 1979 to 1981 and used to go to temple everyday and also enjoyed the beach a lot
Last I visited Puri in the year 1990 and again I would visit this year
When we were in Puri I pulled Jagannath swami's chariot on rath yatra day 😊

Jagannath temple is at the centre of odiya family life. Every generation of ours have visited this temple prayed to the same deity and eaten the same avadaa. Please visit with your kids and spend sometime in the premises and create memories they will remember you when they come with their kids as things seldom change there. They may not like in there teens but when they reach their middle age they will thank you for creating the memories in childhood. The beach and AC hotel rooms wont create lasting memories.❤❤❤❤
