Such a Great Video!!! I have always enjoyed reading about Bears. Two of my favorite books I have are Monarch of Deadman Bay and Where the Grizzly Walks.
@@twostop6895 , the bear population is doing very well up there. My last assignment had me work at several locations all along the coast from the yukon, NWT, and into Nunavut and we had sightings or saw huge signs that grizzlies were present on a regular basis.
What a gorgeous lady! She's going to have beautiful babes and she'll have lots to teach them, congratulations my lady! Thank you for sharing your video, I look forward to seeing them! 🤗
Just subscribed now, came across your bear videos this evening, fascinating animals, we had wolves and brown bears in Ireland long long ago, great work.
Talks of re introducing wolves back to the wicklow mountains and county donegal, too mountainous areas in Ireland, just talk mind, to control red deer population, can't see it working, due to farmer's sheep and cattle nearby, what's your view on it.
Most bears will den close to 7000 feet above sea level in the mountains. They tend to den on slopes that the sun will get to early in the spring. Some bears will revisit same den but in most cases they prefer to dig a new one each year.
I live in the Appalachians and found a black bear den that was the most exquisite thing I ever saw an animal build. It was in a huge stand of big hemlocks trees at the base of a hemlock tree and was intricately woven with hemlock branches all the way up into some of the tree’s lower branches. Some of it was dug out down in the ground but it was just unreal to see a bear had the dexterity to weave a den like that. It was only a couple degrees off from facing due south.
@Vicki Granata I wish I had pictures of it. It was back when I was a teen before everyone carried smart phones. My cousin and I were always fishing and just wandering around in the woods back then. There wasn’t much else to do where we lived. We’d find a lot of bear dens. If you get on a south face in the Appalachians there’s usually a bear den on it somewhere. And it’s usually just above where the deer bed and right next to where the timber rattlers den. lol
I wonder how that bear feels about that big old tag on its ear ... I sure wouldn't want anything clamping something on me that I couldn't remove ... and it appears to be wearing a collar that looks to small
Agreed. Let's not mention how many are killing all types of our Animals, pretty soon won't be no one left!! Sadly the Dinosaurs died off and Thank the higher power it wasn't due to man. It's coming Thow.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could have seen before and after footage of these females, bc after hibernation with cubs they’ll have lost so much weight?? I know there’s a correlation between the number of cubs in each litter and how much weight the mothers were able to gain prior to hibernation, so these mamas should have had littler of 5-6 cubs!!! (JK!) Tiny baby bears and newborn elephants just kill me with their cuteness!
They should tag people. Btw that's a big in for sure. Males are massive, and broader. This girl here sure will fool ya. Give it time some Arse whole will shoot her, for bragging rights or to feed the sled dogs.
Holy buckets!! How soon after you walked through that area did the bear walk there? Also why was yellow police/ caution tape up in that same area?? I love living vicariously through you, thank you “ Bear guy”!
Lol, there was a bit of time between her walking behind me. We had taped off the area with "STAY OUT" tape cause she was feeding on a deer carcass, I went down to see if she was done. Where she had it you could see frrom a hill top, she was done and slowly moving up, so I walked out and she was a 100+ meters behind me. It looked more dramatic than it was, but it shows they use the same trails we do.
@@TheBearGuyCanada 🐻 I adore bears, and your channel doesn't propagate that they are all automatic killers (see the Bear Project for black bears in Minnesota) and doesn't say they're all cuddly toys, either. Grizzlies are highly aggressive, but you are still kind in your treatment of them, and you use common sense in realizing that they're just trying to live their bear lives, i.e., find food, mate, protect their cubs, etc.
Will Alaskans kill them in their dens with the Cubs like they have down here in the lower 48? Too many grizzly have already died this year. Canadians did not pass terrible laws to exterminate bears and wolves, did they? We’re you being followed?
I think theyve reversed that law! You gotta be a real piece of shit compensating for small genitalia hunter to kill a mama bear with her cubs in the den! They are the ones that need to be shot not the bears!😡😡😡
@@laurencurry4528 well, the wolves are being killed left and right any way possible. I will research this more. Google says Not Yet. I know a bear and Cubs were killed in 2021 while in their den. It made many very angry. Stay angry and help change these laws back to protections. RELIST our wolves now and save lives! They are being massacred!
Damn how big they are I thought the Cubs would weigh 15 lb of birth. But I Googled it and it said they only weigh about 1 pound at Birth but they grow quick because of her milk. So all that weight really just mama. Damn
Bears that call their home in areas that are heavily occupied by people usually are collared or tagged. This allows them to be tracked and monitored, helping to keep people back when they are present and vice versa. Being able to do this leads to less relocations and less bears being put down.

At least two different bear's here
There's four different females, it states that in the video description.
