I just bought a like new in box Civivi Stormridge on eBay for $49.99 plus tax and free shipping. It's the green micarta grip model. I'm sure this will be my edc in the summertime. It'll replace my Manly Patriot in D2 (Austrian 1.2379) for the summer due to it having potential rusting issues. My summer EDC at the moment is my Miguel Nieto Chaman EDC in Bohler N695 stainless. I love it, but I really love having a high ride kydex sheath, which the Chaman EDC doesn't have.
I have been shopping for an EDC/self-defense fixed blade that I can carry on my walks and hikes. I was considering the fixed blade Elementum and the Tamashi, but I think this is the answer. Great review.
@johnmorgan4405 , If you want a moderate "tacti-cool " look with great utility and a compact and easy to carry package, then the Stormridge is a 100% winner.
I am planning on buying a second example in the micarta/satin to carry. I have decided to put the black one on my go vest. It's the perfect size for waistline or vest.
I fell in love at forst sight aswell and when i found out it was nitro v i had to order it . I love 14c28n and nitrov they are my fav ss and to me preform identical. Perfect Size edc all around cant waif for it to arrive
@@BazonBlades Main Roads are clear, parking lots and back roads still a little sketchy but we holding it down at the office. On that knife you reviewed, wonder what that could do to a Tomahawk Steak? I smoke meat and am thinking about that for meat.
@tonycollins2740 , it depends on how big the piece of meat is. This one is just 4" blade length, so you would run out of cutting edge on anything big. What do you think about a good carving knife with a 6" blade?
@@BazonBlades Ya do you have any videos showcasing them? I like fixed blades and utilitarian uses. Something not too big, but not too small. This knife looks like it would fit the ticket but wasn't sure?
Another beautiful compact fixed blade from Civivi. From the design point of view, I prefer the Tamashii by Terzuola, but the Stormridge looks great nonetheless. Brilliant review brother. Take care!
The Tamashi was a great design as well. And both are as high quality as you could ever expect. Civivi is proving to be a hell of a fixed blade manufacturer.
It's so good that I feel like this one was designed just for me. It absolutely fits every parameter that I wanted it to, and I have already decided to buy a second example in micarta. I just don't see how it could be done any better. At this point, I am beginning to think Civivi's fixed blades are even better than their folders.
I also like a good f u ll flat grind . Seems to be alot more slicy feffinalty sharpens upb quicker due to less steel behind the edge . Almost all of my edc fixed blades are like this . Or atleast a high flat
I was a saber grind guy for years, the conversion to full flats has been interesting, but they just make too many nice looking blades in full flat.....
It has a smooth finish with a very slight "last pass" surface feel. It feels like smooth G10. The handle design is so good, though, that the smoothness is not an issue. You could always try the micarta/satin version. It may offer slightly more surface tackyness.
I got mine yesterday from Amazon. Very happy with my purchase. I love the kydex sheath and belt clip is strong. Couldnt be any happier.
@@BiggRoscoe, It's a damn good package. Both the knife and sheath are great designs. Enjoy....
What a awesome review. You even include metric for us in Europe!
I instant bought this knife after your review!
Thank you....You are going to love the Stormridge. It's such a great compact design. And the sheath is so good.

@douglassmith3901 , you got a hell of a deal on that Stormridge. I would love to find a satin/micarta for that price.
What a proper review. Thanks you.
Thank you....
Very good review, thank you. I plan on picking one of these up. But, my friend, it's going to have to be one helluva knife to stack up to my orthrus.
Good looking knife, good size and materials. Thanks
Thanks for the view and comment.
I got this about a week ago and it is so nice comfortable slicey and sharp asf it's amazing
I totally agree. It's a bad ass design, and Civivi knocked it out of the park. I had no problem highly recommending this one.

@@johnmorgan4405, that's awesome. Which version did you get?
Great video and details man! Good work!
Thank you very much. I appreciate the feedback.
I've had my eyes on this as well. Just purchased mine, I bought the satin blade with green micarta. Can't wait to get my hands on it 😂

I have the little brother of this knife. Its great for cutting zip ties, duct tape, denim, seat belts, tarps and apples. 10/10🤠❤
What model is that?

Totally....14c and Nitro V are very close performers. Both are good.
Finally someone gave nitro v the proper geometry
I agree....
Totally
This is a great knife and total winner
I can't argue with that. I love this design, and Civivi killed it.
@@BazonBlades absolutely. One look and I ordered it.
@@liquiddw2, which version did you get?
@@BazonBlades the black one. I'm going to use it for EDC too
@@liquiddw2....Nice.
That's nice. Its got a smooth business look to it.
Yes sir, it very much does. How's your side of town, Tony?

Thank you. I would love to take credit for a great review...But when a knife is this good, it's easy. The knife speaks for itself.

The Tamashi was a great design as well. And both are as high quality as you could ever expect. Civivi is proving to be a hell of a fixed blade manufacturer.
I would have got a tamashii if it was in a tougher steel like nitro v or 14c28n. D2 is not a good steel for that knife.
I'm with ya, verbatim. Good stuff my man.... 🤜🤛

The shape reminds me of an ESEE like a 4p or something. Maybe Civivi is trying to appeal to that demographic part of the market?
That would be a good market to tap into. I love my 4, although I do jave TKC extended scales on it.
Looks a lot like the Tamashii, or maybe just a lot like a Terzuola design.
Guess the main difference is the steel.
In some ways they are very similar. Although it reminds me more of a Harsey design than Terzoula.
It is a Terzuola per the spec sheet on bladehq. Maybe it's his take on a Harsey.
Is the G10 grippy?
