When Tim started naming off Topographical map features, I made a fist looked at my hand and my mind drifted back to Land Nav Course..lol....My home state of MT Representing!!!!
Interesting to see military vs civilian mindsets, I have noticed most folks who were in the military especially in the more specialized teams, they tend to recommend and carry smaller lighter knives such as the Benchmade adamas or SOG seal pup, also Tim stressed carry-ability when he ditched the Gerber Downrange.
If you want to get super ambitious, flat grind (develop a flat on bit and pole don't need completely flat) the lefthand cheek, LH holding it pole facing you..if your right handed(do the right hand side if your a lefty)...then you have a hatchet you can carve and craft with efficiently.
Regardless of all else there is something so cool and dawn of the iron age about them that make you feel like a viking. Buy em’ just to love them. Ditto daggers.
If I'm gonna have a tomahawk it's gotta have a wooden handle that the head slides up. Easily replaced in the field, if you have to save space you can just Carry the head and make a handle on the fly. Cold steel, condor, and crkt make some great ones pretty cheap. Tomahawks are great for smaller wood, making basic shelters and quick cooking fires.
Maybe if cleetus would have let you have tomahawk in the freedom 500 you might have won 😂😂😂 it was great meeting you hope you come back to the freedom factory
Tim, Ragweed forge. The guy makes Viking hand axes and ship building axes. They are amazing. I have a Viking camp axe that I have had for 10 years. It's served me well doing general work. I'm a little sad no Scandinavian old school style axes showed up. They were definitely tools and weapons .
Tim, in my defense, I made that tomahawk with very limited resources and it was meant to hang on the wall or be displayed on the War Table at SDR Headquarters. Let me know if you need me to do any repairs.
To be honest, depending of your survival situation i wouldn't take any of these or other hatchets. They are loud when you cut anything, possibly giving away your position. A small folding saw is better.
Cool video but the short tomahawk your going to hit your hand on shit while your using it cause there’s no space between your grip and the blade. Also the narrow back.. ehhh it’s like trying to drive a nail in with a hammer that has 1/8” head > aka nightmare. I would sacrifice some weight or comfort of carry for some resolve in the issues I mentioned. But that’s just me 🤷🏼♂️ idk shit about axes. Awesome video tho✅
Mr. Kennedy, I know you have been down to the border and you have seen the Chinese men crossing the border.....you do a lot of work around the world. Would you ever consider using your resources to follow a group of these military age men to see where they go in this country.....I ask you because of your training, and because if they are up to no good, you and your people would be able to fight back......I am surprised that no one has followed these guys from the border to their destinations.....
@dkveracity65able - he's trying to bridge a gap between "former SOF patriot" and reformist. You can't (or at the least, SHOULDN'T) do both. The constitution is very clear. It doesn't say "firearms". It says "arms"... as in ALL forms of armament. Furthermore, "shall not be infringed" is about as clear as it gets.
Stop calling layered steal Damascus steel. We dont have any Damascus steal and we know it's not the same. The way it's made is very similar but the strength isn't the same. There was a process to make it stronger thats been lost to time
I wish your stance on guns was different brother, i wish i could support your channel but i have decided not to. Unfortunately people like you are the problem.
Hey Guys! This video was a blast to make, Who doesn't like dual wielding tomahawks? haha What should I test out next?
Walking Cane's that have hidden swords in them.
Knives !
Workout shorts.. stretch, durability, perspiration
Pole arms and other medieval weapons
Colonel Custer definitely did not
Estwing for ever
Hardcore Hammers and Council Tool both make seriously good camp/bushcraft hatchets with great hardened strike faces and are made in the USA as well.
This was a solid lineup, Tim! Looking forward to the next videos.
Tim!!! do more cooking videos you're awesome Keep it up
More to come!
Hardcore hammers, makes great options, vet owned and American made . You deserve a carpenter hammer Timmy
“I believe there are good tomahawk control laws” - Tim Kennedy probably
Love MKC's blades! Their Supercub and Marshall Bushcraft Knives are 2 of my favorite blades!
Can you review the...... spyderco yojumbo.....combat knife
Dude this was awesome. Ever since I saw Mel Gibson's The Patriot, I've loved tomahawks. Thanks for continuing to put out great content!
When Tim started naming off Topographical map features, I made a fist looked at my hand and my mind drifted back to Land Nav Course..lol....My home state of MT Representing!!!!
Awesome as always Tim..love the cooking shows too 👍🤘🙏
The Estwing handle is stacked leather impregnated with resin.
Can’t believe RMJ isn’t on here!
He failed to get them there.
I was just looking into Red Teams' use of tomahawks yesterday. Tim always has his finger on the pulse.
Awesome,I always loved tomahawks,Mel Gibsons character in The Patriot had a rad one
Give the American tomahawk model 1 a try. Great blade well made & the sheath is awesome
No SOG tomahawks? Inexpensive but pretty tuff
Just starting this video...estwing is my pick ...I have experience with it.
And the estwing is stacked leather handle..sand the varnish off and treat it with beeswax (heat gun melt it in.) 🎯
Thanks for another video.

This is awesome feels like im hanging out with you Tim.
Well, I went to the Montana knife Company and all of the Hatchetts are sold out. They’ll make more. Thanks Tim.
When I seen the “Tomahawk” headline, I thought it was another steak video!!! Damn lick bait 👅. Always love the weapon/tool videos as well.
You need the full size winkler. The one you have is the compact and maybe even the sub compact.
Your the man from Northern Ireland
Seems like the perfect kitchen essential.
This was fun. Thanks
Regardless of all else there is something so cool and dawn of the iron age about them that make you feel like a viking. Buy em’ just to love them. Ditto daggers.
What kind of bike is that?
I’ll put in a vote for the American tomahawk company model 2
Would like to see which one throws the best

The drop point on the hawk helps with a smoother draw. Also the rounded blade is more for slashing. It's definitely a Fighting hawk
you should really look into Gransfors Bruk from sweden. amazing hatchets and axes since 1902. a little pricey, but little compares to them.
Maybe if cleetus would have let you have tomahawk in the freedom 500 you might have won 😂😂😂 it was great meeting you hope you come back to the freedom factory
I rock the MKC hatchet 🎉🙌 enjoyable video Ty 🇺🇸
Winkler just because I’m from NC and they are definitely battle tested with Devgru
It was an amazing design and fun to use.

I see you are a man of finer tastes... not only with the tomahawks but also the Topo Chico.
RMJ Tactical SHRIKE is the best tomahawk in God‘s free world 5:13
Can't go wrong with rmj, I went with the Ragnarok but the shrike is super nice.
The Estwing handle is made of leather that they cover in epoxy, I believe.
Thought we were gunna see some axe throwing!
You are hilarious and informative
What electric bike is he riding?
Hey Tim, the microphone for the video is top notch. Do you know the name and model of the mic? Thanks mister man
Rode Wireless Pro is the microphone and new editor as as well cleaning up the footage and audio.
If Tim chops 20 times and says he counted 10. He did 10. Whos gonna try to argue with him? 😂😂
Hilarious!
Tim, in my defense, I made that tomahawk with very limited resources and it was meant to hang on the wall or be displayed on the War Table at SDR Headquarters. Let me know if you need me to do any repairs.
Mark Mccoun makes badass tomahawks!!
Estwing w the rubber grip all day
Giving you tomahawk should be considered a war crime 😂
A bowie knife may be more useful at all but hammering.
Whats the difference between a tomahalk and a hatchet?
11:10 "Clearly a prior use..." 😂
The big, wooden-handled item is a camp axe...
made specifically for chopping/chipping wood
boots socks pants shirts.....what do you use, wear other than BRCC lol
All hatchets...seen only one tomahawk🤔
Good stuff tho💪😎👍
I don’t know how you can go wrong with a trusty Estwing. Best hammers and hatchets.
The beard is for hooking and catching. Very useful in self defense
I've wanted a Gerber downrange for about 5 years I think.. one day..
SOF Fruit Ninja 🤙🏼
To be honest, depending of your survival situation i wouldn't take any of these or other hatchets. They are loud when you cut anything, possibly giving away your position. A small folding saw is better.
Cool! I’d still rather have a large fixed blade!
No SOG?
If you don't like Tim Kennedy. You're wrong.
next showdown coldsteel trail hawk

The Winkler would probably cut some of the other ones in half if you really tried lol
Watching you struggle with that paper made me wonder.
Lol..go with the kukri. If not..
Grab that big axe you got there (SDR). Go big or go home!
PS:
I vote for a chain gun for your bike.
Let be honest, we want to know which one you are taking into a room with al-Zarqawi. Which one would you grab first to show him how you really feel? 😂
Nice
Gimme the estwing....cheap but serviceable. Give me a Gransfors Bruks small forest axe for real work.
By the the best bang for the buck. Also best campsite option. It was #3 in my overall.
That bike is op
Half face blades
Estwing handle is leather with an epoxy/resin. For my money I think estwing is the best.
Not a fan of an axe hanging off my belt.
Get some paracord and make a sling (for SDR) and carry it on your back. Then go to work.
Should a 19-year-old kid have access to a tomahawk?
Hell yeah
@@Last_Chance. the question was direct at Tim Kennedy. he thinks a 19-year-old kid should not have access to an AR15.
@@oakwestplayer ar 15 is not a tomahawk
In what survival situation is a tomahawk going to be more useful than a Leatherman? Aside from the cartoons.
Home depot sells hatchet holders for your belt.
My wife told me my Johnson is deadly and delicious.

Science!😂😂😂😂
Tim making videos on hatchets... hoping to avoid comments about his anti-constitutional gun control stance.
Whilst admittedly anti constitutional trying to stop absolute moronic fucktards getting their hands on firearms cannot be a bad thing.
What? He hates our American Constitution?!😢
@@dkveracity65ableyes he is a fake
No shocker. He's part of the clique

Not a real tomahawk in the line up. I use a coldsteel trail hawk. So basically this is a commercial for overpriced company.
Stop calling layered steal Damascus steel. We dont have any Damascus steal and we know it's not the same. The way it's made is very similar but the strength isn't the same. There was a process to make it stronger thats been lost to time
Is this Timmy who wants gun control ? That Timmy ?
10…???
I have no idea how this was supposed to be informative. Axes are fun. No useful things were learned here. Just call it what it is.
We need common sense tomahawk laws.
Still want to take our second amendment away?
Winkler is the best but it'll cost you $$$
I wish your stance on guns was different brother, i wish i could support your channel but i have decided not to. Unfortunately people like you are the problem.
18 year olds shouldn’t be allowed to own a tomahawk
Shall not
Dumb video. Career really taking a dive huh Tim ?
Tim “gun control” Kennedy
