you will NEVER again see nurses staying at a staff job for 40 years like they used to. RN's are waking up and not taking the crumbs they feed us for 25$ an hour. Hospitals better pay up or its going to be very bad.
The future of nursing will be travel/registry work. I don’t think travel nurses will go back to precovid but instead I think it will be between 2.5k-5.5k per week.
How do you feel about the National Guard being deployed to various hospitals in some states? For example, here in Massachusetts, there are approximately 75 hospitals which will receive their help effective Monday.
I think that's a great last resort strategy for those hospitals....however we have to remember there is a shortage of nurses everywhere- even military nurses. So National Guard/ active duty nurses can not replace the total need and will have a very low impact on travel nursing needs over all.
Really, I am in Mass. I had no idea. I think hospitals should get as much help possible to get the job done. If that's what work , oh well. Somebody got to do it, I hope this initiative helps fix the nursing shortage. 🤷
Technology is not supposed to slow down the EMR system, documentation and Charting, etc., it does the opposite. The only problem I see is that everything you do on the system is noticeable because they are trying to improve the patients outcome. Also, nurses need to be up to part with computer knowledge. If you don't have that knowledge, it's not good. Keeping up with the technique can be challenges for nurses.
What do you think? Is the future bright for the nursing profession??
No. There is a major decline
I think its going down. I need a different Avenue.
Yes, I am VERY bullish on the future of nursing. Many opportunities and options.
Bright but with consequences.

You're amazing and have realistic future insight!!
No we aren’t going to starve to death, but will all be locked up in a mental ward.

What charting system do you recommend for a Mobile Lab?
Tons of opportunity right now, jump in!!
Gratitude.
Thanks
what does nursing charting mean ?
Information (medications, vital signs, adl's,etc.) about each patient's condition needs to be noted/recorded into an electronic filing system.
