    “Unbelievably good instincts with regards to figuring out what other people’s motives were but were too ashamed of their suspicions” This quote resonates with me because I found it to perfectly explain situations I’ve been in. Too many times I had questioned myself if it was worth standing up to someone who was mistreating me or judging me badly only because I thought maybe I’d be getting out of line if I spoke up. I would just stop myself and think “Maybe this person isn’t actually trying to do XYZ. I’ll look stupid if I say something. I might just be overreacting if I call them out. I’m embarrassing myself just thinking that this person is trying to harm me in some way.” In hindsight and many bad experiences later, my suspicions were always correct whether they showed up sooner or later. Trust your gut, people! And if you end up misreading someone, you own up, explain yourself, apologize, and move on.

    Respect to this man for putting his personal discoveries into the gene pool, I don't know if I would have been that nice.

      Dictionary definitions give an refreshed, organic, intimate meaning to a word, look up "gene pool".
      There, I did it too.

    I'm a 34 year old man who is very high on the agreeable side. Bullied as a kid and used it as my defence mechanism, guess it just stuck.
    Anyway, it's served me well in the professional world until I got promoted and the project manager I'm currently reporting to is a controlling, reactive bully. She's putting all sorts of issues on my plate with no support and pointing to me as the cause of the project's woes. I needed this vid.

      Propaganda Minister Hi there! I'm not a psychologist, but an avid lover of psychology as well as energy healing. Jordan Peterson has helped me immensely through this and I'd love to help out a bit. If you are comfortable, send me an email at kellyraeanne@gmail.com and I can send some links and suggestions. And/Or if you'd like, you can subscribe to my very grassroots channel where I talk alot about social issues from a sensitive person's perspective. Trying to help people who lack this courage to find it within. These themes will be common in my videos!
      Take care,
      Kelly

    Peterson at his absolute best. Really knows his stuff here, from years of study and counselling. Really helpful for many of us. Wish I could say his worse was pseudo-profundity, and not far-right propaganda in climate-change denial and his Islamophobic bigotry.

    • @Creamy6oodness
      @Creamy6oodness 6 років тому +6

      Ken Johnson when has he denied climate change or displayed islamaphobic tendencies?

    • @kenjohnson6326
      @kenjohnson6326 6 років тому

      I notice you don't question the charge of pseudo-profundity! Jimmy Dore, August 4, for denial. Tendencies? Flat-out Islamaphobe, like most of his buddies (Sam harris, but fucking et. al.), and really it's obvious if you follow him.

    • @dwwoodsadsf7791
      @dwwoodsadsf7791 6 років тому +8

      You didn't answer the second part of his question and your flat-out wrong. Being a critic of Islamic fundamentalism is not the same as being a bigot. He has been very cautious about how he deals with questions about Islam often stating that he has a lot more reading to do on the subject before offering an opinion.

    • @kenjohnson6326
      @kenjohnson6326 6 років тому

      "You're wrong." And I'm not, but I'm not chasing the comments down, which were more frequent early on. But he has equated Islamic fundamentalism with Islam, just as harris and Dawkins, for example, always do.

    • @JimboVigilante
      @JimboVigilante 6 років тому +6

      Go live in a highly Islamic area in the UK, like Nelson or Luton, and come back as virtuous as you are now. You are a prime example of the pretentious new generation snowflake, that has no experience or idea of Islam, but spouts his culturally sensitive ideology to feel better about himself when he has absolutely no idea about Islam. Do you have any Muslim friends? I highly doubt it
