But there were those who would set us against one another, and we took up arms to defend our way of life against the Separatists. In so doing, we never suspected that the greatest threat came from within. The Jedi, and some within our own Senate, had conspired to create the shadow of Separatism using one of their own as the enemy's leader. They had hoped to grind the Republic into ruin. But the hatred in their hearts could not be hidden forever. At last, there came a day when our enemies showed their true natures. The Jedi hoped to unleash their destructive power against the Republic by assassinating the head of government and usurping control of the clone army. But the aims of would-be tyrants were valiantly opposed by those without elitist, dangerous powers. Our loyal clone troopers contained the insurrection within the Jedi Temple and quelled uprisings on a thousand worlds. The remaining Jedi will be hunted down and defeated! Any collaborators will suffer the same fate. These have been trying times, but we have passed the test. The attempt on my life has left me scarred and deformed, but I assure you my resolve has never been stronger. The war is over. An Empire that will continue to be ruled by this august body and a sovereign ruler chosen for life. An Empire ruled by the majority, ruled by a new constitution! By bringing the entire galaxy under one law, one language, and the enlightened guidance of one individual, the corruption that plagued the Republic in its later years will never take root. Regional governors will eliminate the bureaucracy that allowed the Separatist movement to grow unchecked. A strong and growing military will ensure the rule of law. Under the Empire's New Order, our most cherished beliefs will be safeguarded. We will defend our ideals by force of arms. We will give no ground to our enemies and will stand together against attacks from within or without. Let the enemies of the Empire take heed: those who challenge Imperial resolve will be crushed. We have taken on a task that will be difficult, but the people of the Empire are ready for the challenge. Because of our efforts, the galaxy has traded war for peace and anarchy for stability. Billions of beings now look forward to a secure future. The Empire will grow as more planets feel the call, from the Rim to the wilds of unknown space. Imperial citizens must do their part. Join our grand star fleet. Become the eyes of the Empire by reporting suspected insurrectionists. Travel to the corners of the galaxy to spread the principles of the New Order to barbarians. The clone troopers, now proudly wearing the name of Imperial stormtroopers, have tackled the dangerous work of fighting our enemies on the front lines. Many have died in their devotion to the Empire. Soon the Galaxy will know the power of the dark side, brilliant
"Only the insane have strength enough to prosper. Only those who prosper may truly judge what is sane."
1:51 I see you palpatine
It really feels like im watching my own empire become a precursor
If there isn't at least 1 prequel meme in this I'm gonna be mad
The whole expansion is a prequel meme
@@crashEPIC Space is a prequel meme
@@SarudeDanstorm Reality is a distant far away galaxy
There actually is an achievement called, "With Thunderous Applause - Become the Galactic Emperor"
And when you change the galactic council size to 1 the card says "I am the senate".
This is easily the best trailer you have made. Apocolypse gives me goosebumps everytime but the storytelling in this is phenomenal really incredible. To a point i almost want a singleplayer story campaign. I know its silly its not that kind of game but these voice snippets are too good to be used only in trailers
You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
more like: You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the Senat! :D
I love Stellaris trailers so much. This rivals the Apocalypse trailer.
Same
There's something about this coming off as clips of News reels is very cool.
Stellaris finally seems complete. Glad the wait is finally over.
Time to dive in.
The next big thing: A real economy with cargoships, free enterprise vs communists and so on.
I thinke stellaris will never be finished ^^
@@julonkrutor4649 To be fair, it's a paradox game, always improving, always being patched until a sequel. Perfect Example, Crusader Kings 2. It had what...70+ pieces of DLC? And it only stopped because crusader kings 3 was released. No, I think we will see stellaris DLC until Stellaris 2: electric Boogaloo
@@Skydragonace Stellaris 2 multithreading confirmed?
we still need civil war dlc
cant wait to play this with my friends its been 2 years since i last played i think the new content would be overwhelming
This is where the fun begins
Palpatine Simulator
I just love how they literally used the star wars speech lol
You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
Too bad there isn't news audio dialogue like these within the game. "Our fearless leader takes notice as war erupts amongst our neighbors." "The Economic crisis has experts predicting financial collapse within the year." "Tensions rise as starvation grips a sector of the empire." "These and more stories coming up." "We interrupt this broadcast to bring you breaking news: our emperor has died."
"somehow, the custodians has returned"
Such a good Trailer for this type of game. I love it.
I love how carefully this expansion was thought out. First you beat the crisis and then you become the crisis yourself.
01:38 . The Democracy
I can't be the only one who really, *really*, *REALLY* wants the music used in this trailer. This might remain my favorite Stellaris trailer for a long time because of it. On its other merits, though, it doesn't slouch either; great visual shots, a nice feature rundown, excellent voice acting, and a real whammy of a story to go with it.
There are not enough "like" buttons to transmit the goosebumps you made me feel.
if I can give like for everytime I rewatch the video maybe it already hundred likes...
"Trillions dead"
To be fair a trillion people is only about 90 pops (Each one is about 1.1 billion from what I read on Paradox). I usually purge that much every year after 300 years.
This trailer gave me chills of excitement
Then there's that one inward perfectionist empire that's just like "You guys nearly wiped out the galaxy, dissolved the senate, and started another Galactic civil war and we *still* don't care!"
Marketing team OP
They consistently make hit trailers for every major DLC. There are very very very few games I go back and watch the trailers for but damn, I go back and watch the stellaris trailers pretty often.
My emperor in game was a peaceful Scientist like Captain Kirk in first, and He became the galactic emperor like Darth Sidious.
In order to ensure security and stability,
The community will be reorganized into the first galactic imperium! For a safe and secure society!
This... has been one of paradox's biggest advantages: they know how to make the audience shiver with goosebumps
As the Divine Emperor of the Imperium once said...
*clears throat* "My resolve has never been STRONGER! The Republic will be reorganized into the first *Galactic Empire!!* For a safe, and secure, society..."
followed by "UNLIMITED POWAH!!!"
This trailer is genuinely a masterpiece. So much story told only through news clips and audio logs with a couple of video clips.
The galaxy can't rule itself, we know this because it tried... and it failed. Therefore today I will assume complete control and guide it they it needs to be guided, I will lead it the way it needs to be lead, I WILL protect it from ANY who would oppose its will with decisiveness, wrath, fury, and the blood of my foes...
And what is the will of the galaxy?
...My will...
0:15 "heart of darkness" clear vic 2 reference. Vicky 3 confirmed.
You're telling us there's hope?
Poggers
Как же офигенно..Спасибо, парадокс
With Thunderous Applause is actually the name of the achievement on Steam for becoming Emperor. Truly best meme of 2021 so far.
Rewatching Bab5 and the Vorlons just began their campaign of destruction in time for this launch.
*Laughs in Palpatine*
I cool would be to hear comms like this in game
It has begun. Gentlemen, synchronise your death watches
I loved the voice acting on this one.
I do not slaughter for power or glory.
I dlaughter for fps
You already know what’s about to happen
Had a long session of Nemesis. It feels like the last piece of the puzzle Stellaris needed. This is the game I think I dreamed of playing when I was messing around with MOO2 in the 1990s.
1:38 I AM THE SENATE.
that feeling when the biggest threat to the galaxy wasnt even the crisis.
This is literally star wars prequels dlc
When you want to go full crisis but someone else do it first
Man I wish they could release a speech system
Like every now and then an empire will release a speech when something major happens
Same with news broadcasts
What would be a cool feature is actual news updates or threads talking about the decisions you make or made for your empire....... like how it does it in this trailer.
150%
Sometimes the ones who rise to power after the crises are worse than the enemy they swore to destroy
Well, that went from 100 to 1000 real quick
I know that all player quote loud palpatine's speech when they achieve the reorganization of the galactic community. I DO IT every time
One of your best trailers, bravo!
Cant wait to get this on xbox.
"with new ships" *Looks at menacing class ships* Oh.
Was playing a game with my friends. The grey tempests and the contingency has appeared and we’re wiping out the galaxy. I snuck in the Galactic imperium resolution whilst everyone was gradually dying lmao
I'm going to go through every Stellaris video/trailer in order to compile a sort of canon story line for the galaxy.
I’m a crisis: I will destroy all empire
Unbidden: no I am
Me: no I am the crisis
Unbidden: you choose death
Me: right back at you
